GD, NO!! He did not trade in his Marshalls! The hotel requested that we use their gear, including their drum kit, as it is all dialed in for that room. All we had to do was "plug in" and play. I even used their wireless!!! (I did use MY mic stand, though!!). The sound was absolutely incredible! I mean, I could hear EVERYTHING! The monitors were perfect and the volume was excellent. They have a million dollar sound system there and a professional running it and BELIEVE me, it showed. It IS the MIRAGE, afterall! We had awesome sound!...EVEN through the Orange!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The way I see it, if its good enough for BB King, its good enough for Breaking Dawn! I have to admit, I was worried but it was one of the BEST shows we have ever played and that place is just awesome, albeit a SHORT show. SO professional. Really makes you appreciate the "big boys" and what they get to work with every night! I mean, WOW! I can only DREAM of that kind of sound every time we play!!! |

Well I'll be a .....HA!!!!!!!!!! No, I honestly do not recall ever seeing it. I believe you are telling me the truth but I clearly must have walked right by it and been (as always) oblivious! Wow. Shows what happens as you age, my friend. One would think that I would catch ANY "boob" that was near? Oh well.
In my defense, from the minute the Princess and I pulled into the valet, I really went into a dream world. I mean, this is the freakin MIRAGE for cryin out loud!!!! The feeling I had as I walked through the place all dressed up in my stage gear and carrying my stand and wireless case was just surreal. I was getting looks from people and kind of basking in the moment. It is quite likely that I missed a lot of things!!!
Received a call last night that made me smile. NOTHING too great just yet but the CEO of the BB King clubs wants to meet with us when he returns to Vegas. THAT is a good thing. NO idea what he wants to say and, of course, things are done on HIS schedule but it is certainly better than a "thanks for coming"....We'll see!!! |

GD, NO!! He did not trade in his Marshalls! The hotel requested that we use their gear, including their drum kit, as it is all dialed in for that room. All we had to do was "plug in" and play. I even used their wireless!!! (I did use MY mic stand, though!!). The sound was absolutely incredible! I mean, I could hear EVERYTHING! The monitors were perfect and the volume was excellent. They have a million dollar sound system there and a professional running it and BELIEVE me, it showed. It IS the MIRAGE, afterall! We had awesome sound!...EVEN through the Orange!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The way I see it, if its good enough for BB King, its good enough for Breaking Dawn! I have to admit, I was worried but it was one of the BEST shows we have ever played and that place is just awesome, albeit a SHORT show. SO professional. Really makes you appreciate the "big boys" and what they get to work with every night! I mean, WOW! I can only DREAM of that kind of sound every time we play!!! |

What "boob"??!?!? Did I miss something?? This was the MIRAGE, man! I did not see any "boobs" , other than those of the various lovelies that were out and about that evening..........

The BB King Blues Club inside the beautiful MIRAGE Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas! I know we are really "nobodies" in the grand scheme but it certainly felt like the "big time" for a moment! Met some fabulous entertainers. Got a couple wonderful compliments from one of the musicians from the Oak Ridge Boys!! HA!!!!! The guy told me he has been in the business 40 years and he said I have "it"...!!! Now then, what "it" is , I am not too sure but I think its good....HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
