Hell yeah...."The Inner Sanctum"   by our most underrated heavy metal band in the world!!

Hey british steel and Lady Bathory....this LP is Saxon's 2nd best album under Lionheart...this is a must get situation!

Every track on this album like Lionheart is excellent.

I remember refusing to watch that documentry because it seemed to be such a has-been-band thing to do, even though I didn't listen to Saxon back then I was disgusted that a legendary British band could be so sell-out!

Thankfully they've really made a comeback since- whether due to said TV programme or not I don't know but I doubt it!
[J.D. DIAMOND] Thursday, July 09, 2009 4:30:27 PM
Well I would definately buy "Lionheart" album and "The Inner Sanctum" album and the re-recorded tracks on the album "Heavy Metal Thunder". Those 3 albums are what you need to buy to have a start on thier collection.

thanks alot J.D. , Saxon sounds damn good! Why havent i heard them before?!?!?!?!?? I really have to buy some of their albums. But i dont have much money, which albums or songs would you prefer?
[Phantom A6] Thursday, July 09, 2009 4:01:38 AM

My fav Saxon album!!

[J.D. DIAMOND] Thursday, July 09, 2009 3:55:33 AM
Hey british steel.....First don't listen to Necroticist...because Saxon ARE AWSOME!!! .Saxon are a legend from England and started with thier first album self titled "Saxon" from 1979.

The band has 18 studio albums and I would recomend 12 of them!

Yeah the Crusader song is a very great Saxon track...but the album "Crusader" is not that good of an album at all.The opening track "Crusader" is the only killer song on the album from 1984.

So I would stay away from that album....if you want that song ...buy Saxon's "Heavy Metal Thunder" album...an album of old classic Saxon tracks re-recorded in 2003! That is worth buying!

Saxon - 1979
Wheels Of Steel - 1980
Strong Arm Of The Law - 1980
Denim & Leather - 1981
Power & The Glory - 1983
Dogs Of War - 1995
Unleash The Beast - 1997
Metalhead - 1999
Killing Ground - 2001
Lionheart - 2004
The Inner Sanctum - 2007
Into The Labyrinth - 2009

If your a Saxon fan,I would recommend owning these 12  studio records.     [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by british.steel from Wednesday, July 08, 2009 8:00:19 PM)

[Necroticist] Wednesday, July 08, 2009 6:45:41 PM
Back in the day tho..rather entertaining
[Necroticist] Wednesday, July 08, 2009 6:44:59 PM
well - i wouldn't go as far as 'awesome' (specially after the track they were recording on the documentary - some 'new image' thing they were working on) but each to their own...
[CountessErzebethBathory9] Wednesday, July 08, 2009 6:41:44 PM
I never thought they were Awesome...jeezz..

Yeah Saxon are totally awsome.           Forum  Members : "Soylent Green" aka The Wolfman and Jimmy James says that Saxon are a terrible band and they call them "shit". Add ex-forum member "Darryn Heloffs" to that list of those who think Saxon are a shit band.

Now....listen to some of Saxon's elite albums and hear for yourself.  Crusader is a very cool Saxon track!

Go to "youtube.com" and type in Saxon Conquistador and listen to this excellent song.

Check out the album "Loinheart"(2004) and listen to the album...you should be able to listen to all the songs off it on youtube.

That will tell you about the taste in music that Soylent Green has.........."shit".

yeah, it does suck. The thing is i had already paid in full for it so all i would have to do is just pick it up. still havent got it and it has been almost 1/2 a year! I don't think they could give me my money back, though. they would just do store credit. I'd rather have the money, though....

Yeah I hear ya kiamat,I would stay away from albums:   (1984)Crusader       (1985)Innocense Is No Excuse     (1986)Rock The Nations     (1988)DestinyAs I've mentioned below, those are Saxon's worst albums.       And  1990 "Solid Ball Of Rock" and 1992 "Forever Free" albums are pretty much like a "Ram It Down" album for both of them, half is cool and half is not.

Saxon - 1979
Wheels Of Steel - 1980
Strong Arm Of The Law - 1980
Denim & Leather - 1981
Power & The Glory - 1983
Dogs Of War - 1995
Unleash The Beast - 1997
Metalhead - 1999
Killing Ground - 2001
Lionheart - 2004
The Inner Sanctum - 2007
Into The Labyrinth - 2009

If your a Saxon fan,I would recommend owning these 12 records.

I don't really know their late 80s/early 90s albums- mainly due to the bad reviews and comments I've already heard about them. And in order to keep my view of Saxon untarnished... I think I may keep on not knowing them.
