Snapad, hope you dont' get too loopy! Did you ever see Sixteen Candles? Where Molly Ringwald's sister gets a little too relaxed right before her wedding? You do NOT want to be like that. Also, (this is for everybody) don't drink too much, it would suck to not be able to remember meeting the guys - lol!! I remember part of the meeting well....we met Glenn, Ian, KK then Rob. The problem was I met Glenn first. Everything after that was a bit fuzzy. QT, what an awesome meet and greet. Kudos to you for being so very well prepared. I hope everybody here has a great experience at their perspective shows. QT, I hope my night turns out to be as special and rememorable as yours, Looks like you had an awsome time!
Way to go! Only 40 people got those huh? Wow, I messed ordering my VIP 4 times before I got it right good thing I started as soon as the box office opened.
The switchboard was ringing off the hook the whole time i was trying to order tickets at work and I got so flustered someone else had to answer the thing for me while completed my transaction or I was probably going to go off on some poor sole for interrupting me a such a time in my life! The Meet & Greet!
It was very well organized. I was told by Amanda that the max is 40 people per show. They have 20 minutes to get 40 people through. That works out to 30 seconds per person. It was very rushed, so make sure you are organized and calm.(For me jumping up and down while in line helped.) Because it’s all over in less than 1 minute. If there is 2 in your group, like with myself and hubby, you get 1 minute and 1 photo only. BOOO to the one photo! Didn’t we pay for 2 VIP tickets??? Any ways, for us when we got closer to the front of the line you can start to see some band members. I first got to see Rob and KK as we got closer. My heart was pounding. That’s when the jumping helped to clam me a bit. Right before your turn to meet them you’re told, when you see the flash from the people in front of you, GO! My order was Scott, Glenn, Ian, Rob then KK. I don’t know how I was able to keep it together but I did. Maybe the jumping! LOL! About 2 hours before the meet and greet we found out that it was 1 min. of one on one time with the full band and not just a mad mob around the band. I lost it. I cried off all my make-up. Any ways, as I walked up to Scott I gave him a big hug, then hugged Glenn, then Ian, Rob and KK. As I was hugging them my hubby was following behind me getting my Mega Metal cards sighed. (I’ll post the pictures.) After I hugged KK I turned to Rob and handed him the bag of necklaces I made for them. He took it and said OHHH Cool, thank you. I was very well orgainzed. I had 5 bags labled with their names in one larger bag, just incase there was not time to hand one bag to each member. Then I went back to Scott to get my Judas Priest Legal Tender Real USA dollar bill signed. That bill got us at least an extra minute with the band!!! Thank you eBay for selling wickly cool stuff! They had never seen one before. They seemed to think it was pretty cool that their picture was on a real legal tender bill. (I'll post the picture and YES it is REALLY legal tender.) I had a protective clear cover over the bill and forgot to take the bill out. Both Scott and Glenn signed the cover and not the bill. Luckily I was not in La La land (at that moment) and noticed before it got to Ian. I remember Rob saying “We need to make sure we sign the bill” and it went back to Scott with the cover off. While they signed I was clinging to Rob the whole time. I remember rubbing and patting his back and telling him I love him. He said “I love you too” I know he must say it to every fan that says it to him but who cares? I DON"T! THE METAL GOD HIMSELF TOLD ME HE LOVES ME! His voice was so soft and sweet. I hope I never forget that moment. I also got a “We love you too” out of KK. I might have told him a couple of times too. Some of it’s just a blur. I mostly stayed between KK and Rob. After they all signed the bill someone said “picture time.” Everyone scramble for a moment, the flash went off and the next people were up. As we walked away I let out a little scream and started to bawl like a baby. My hubby told me after he could tell all the other fans were so happy for me. We met and breifly got to know so many cool people at the Pre Party. After that the night just got better. I’ll start a new post for that when I have more time. I have some really cool stories to tell. This was just half of the best night of my life! |

When we first got to the hotel I got out of the car and forgot to close car door. My hubby went out about 5 mins. after and my door was hanging wide open. LOL! I lost my mind for a couple of days for sure! I'm sure some of you know or will know what I'm taking about. Ok I'm gonna start a new post for the details, just wanted to add, I did get lots of photos (My sister watched the full 1 hour of Priest at MOR through her camera, she got hundered's.) Just need time to sort them out. But I'll be sure to post the best ones. |

I work for an eye doctor. You could try mono-vision or they do have bi-focal contacts now. Both options are iffy. We have only had a handful of people from our office that have been able to do them. Mono you have one distance lense in one eye and a near vision contact in the other. Bi-focal lenses are fairly new and I'm not sure we've had anyone that has had success with them. I find most people do have the best luck with getting contacts for distance and then wear the reading glasses. I'm sure whatever you wear you'll look great! There are some great trendy and funky glasses out there now and if you decide to go with progressives(no line bi-focals) you can still get fairly small glasses. It's amazing what they can do now.
