Sometimes I think the best seasons are spring and autumn. I love the inbetweenness of it. Not too hot nor too cold. There's something about that hot cup of coffee after some time in the rain that just makes it taste that wee bit better lol (speaking of wich, I reckon round about now is a great time for a cup.)
I"m planing on a nice little veggie and herb garden when spring comes around again. It's a bit late to start planting now but I'm researching on cultivating a propper compost heap and trying to figure out a way to keep little insects away without using pestacides. I cringe at the thought of what these comercial veggie farmers put into our bodies through insecticides and pesticides. Organic is great but I'd love to have my own little veggie garden so I'm going to do a good job of it this year.

Hi Becks. Congrats and good luck with your new job. Weekend hours always suck if you have to be working but, as you say, it's a job and that's always good to have! We're also heading into winter here. Getting colder and darker quicker almost every morning lol. On thursday morning I ended up trapped in a rain storm and cycled for almost 3 hours in the rain, not fun but at least I didn't chicken out. I looked like a drowned candy box when I got home (all the rediculously bright coloured clothing cyclists are forced to wear so that cars/trucks/moving objects can see us and not hit into us). Sounds like everyone is having a fantastic day so far.
Wow, what a busy weekend. I'm kind of glad that it's coming to and end though. It's been a busy one from Friday through Sunday..
As I mentioned, the LKJ show on friday night, spent the whole of saturday doing kiddy things (they deserved it they were so well behaved with the sitter on friday) and today was the Olive Festival. I love it! Once a year in this little town they have th olive festival where you go and .. well, it's pretty self explanitory lol. Got my yearly stock of fresh pressed organic olive oil and olives and some really groovy earings! The kids had fun wondering between all the stalls and got some stickers to decorate their toyboxes with so the whole family went home happy.. Now it's time to eat! I'm starving! Pasta is on the menu tonight, I love pasta!

Linton is so old that instead of a promper board, he'd take out a neatly folded white piece of paper with a set list and presumably a refresher on the lyrics he was supposed to be singing on it.
I was pretty apprehensive when I first went out,but I'm glad I did!

Hell, I think I'll just write a review anyway and give it to the mag and see if they feel like using it. The bands were that good!

I don't know if anyone even knows this artist but he's so cool! He's like this distinguished old british dinosaur who is more of a poet than a reggae artist. His percussionist is so old, I think he could have been Linton's dad (Linton is in his 70's now so imagine how old the percussionist is) and the drummer is this little british kid who looks like he's had the crap beaten out of him at school but is a really steady great drummer (no, not as great as Travolous but then who is? lol)
Linton is so old that instead of a promper board, he'd take out a neatly folded white piece of paper with a set list and presumably a refresher on the lyrics he was supposed to be singing on it.
I was pretty apprehensive when I first went out,but I'm glad I did!

I believe they will come here, as you say, they seem to want to our every corner of the world. We've had some amazing international acts (no, not Celine lol0 and I have faith in the Priest, they will bring the feast here!

You should write a review on the band anyway, and freelance it to a mag or another paper. Someone is bound to want to listen.

They'd rather import mediocre acts like Celine Dion and The Pussycat Dolls than give our real guys any light of day.. (hey.. could this be why the don't want me to review those concerts?? lol)

These guys were just so natural. I'm still totally in awe of the evening I had. I'm a tad dissapointed that I wasn't asked to do a review on this band for the local that I write for because I really enjoyed something that I went out hell bent on believing that I would hate (if that makes any sense?) I always get asked to write reviews or articles on bands that the editor knows I like and know so this would have been so cool to have such an open review about a genre that I am totally not familiar with.
