Judas Priest's Invincible Shield is the best Judas Priest album since 1984's Defenders Of The Faith. KKS Priest however is mundane and boring in comparison. Too bad KK had to run his mouth bashing the band calling Glenn a drunk snubbing Ian Hill as well then asks management if there is a way to bring him back instead of talking to Rob Glenn and Ian.

Listening to KK's Priest. The best new band to come along in in a while. Tell you what....these guys have it going on. Excellent drums, guitars, bass,vocals. Classic 70's and 80's style .... the drum solos and KK's rhythm guitar at 2:52 are amazing.

It's actually not that bad it's as heavy as Powerslave and there is something decent about it ... I mean if it were on side 2 of Powerslave right after Back in The Village it would be a better track than "The Duellists" ...but still even if the entire album is good as I like both songs so far,it still won't be as good as Powerslave lol but hell a decent record all the way through from them at this point would be nice.
I don't expect em to harken as far back as the first 3 albums but it's sometimes tough to see anything great when automatically the bar is set only to be possible thier 6th best album not being able to touch thier first 5 albums to lots of us Maiden fans but somehow you just have to pay closer attention...
I''ve tried this with many albums but the lps only end up half and half ...5 tracks good 5 not good. So yeah if somehow every track is decent then it would HAVE to be thier 6th best album. We'll see in 2 weeks. There are 8 more songs to hear 🤞

@guido yeah not a bad track from Maiden ... still is NOT as good as Powerslave or albums before Powerslave BUT it's still kinda cool. Perhaps it may turn out good ....it definitely won't be on Firepower's level of excellence...they'd have to equal Powerslave to do that but hey it's decent Maiden. Not sure if I'll like the entire album or not it's a crap shoot but my fingers are crossed.

Ken and the boys sound like their about to fly apart at any second on the “sermons of the sinner” track .... and Ripper Owens sounds like he’s about to blow a gasket... pretty impressive! .....the way metal should be played.
...and that Les Binks style drum intro is pretty amazing. Sounds a bit like Exciter. Their setting the bar pretty high here so far with just two songs released....competition is a good thing.

ok.. looks like the first two tracks and excellent videos from KK’s new album "Sermons of the Sinner" is getting great reviews on utube. I’d say about 95% positive... Yeah you have your typical negative comments out there..”bad production, Tim can’t sing, Rob is not there, sounds too much like Priest, it’s generic”..lol..blah blah ..I guess everyone has their opinion but overall it looks like metal fans love it. 10 tracks on the new album is a perfect number of songs too ..not a drawn out watered down 14 or 16 track album with a bunch of filler riff material...gets old. I like the 10 song format. KK even said he’s working on material for the next album so maybe fans won’t have to wait years between albums....what a concept! Good job KK’s Priest. Yeah Les Binks is not on the album but things happen and it sounds like he’ll make some appearances on the tour so he’s still involved. It’s kind of crazy that Priest won’t let KK be part of their anniversary tour and have at least one original guitarist on stage. Bad decision in my opinion....Priest management at its finest... their looking more like a Rob solo band now and I guess that’s fine if that’s what they want.. @ vail.... yes Scorpions kick butt. I used to be a Kiss fan,still am but from 1974 to 2000. Just SICK of them now lol. AC/DC from 1974 to 1983 also kicks butt. Started getting into music when I was a little kid in the late 70's cause my best friend's brother was like 10 years older than us and got us into music.
Heavy Metal is a blood that runs through my viens and is #1 of course. Beatles,Stones,Zeppelin,Kiss... 70's Aerosmith,AC/DC multiple bands I've liked we never mention much because I usually mention heavy metal and other metal genres ....
But my favorite non metal band I have albums of since I was a kid and have them on CD for years is southern rock legends "Molly Hatchet". I was grown up on Molly Hatchet along with Judas Priest and my favorite other bands . Not a fan of Lynard Skynard,38 Special or any other southern rock bands or country artists etc... never had a chance to post Molly Hatchet... with snot and shit disturbers here etc... lol

Well, alright. I'll answer. If we are to go by album purchases, my favorite non-metal band would be...the Scorpions. They're cool. Would love to get some more of their 70s albums. I also like Joe Satriani. Fleetwood Mac are in there, too. I like most classic rock, really. Also like classical music, jazz, and Mexican music when I'm in the mood.
