HA!!!!!! It only reminds me of the fact that its almost 12:30 a.m. here!!!!!! Eyelids are forcing themselves shut!!!!!!

My suggestions aren't great, but I'll PM them later... maybe today.

Goodnight!!!!

Erm..."grammatical errors" you mean! Grammar is a noun. "Errors in grammar" I would accept!

With that, you'll have to PM me your suggestions...I'll get right on the third draft. TOMORROW! Nighty night!

[Vaillant 3.0] Friday, August 15, 2008 2:06:51 AM
There are no grammar errors that I can find, only suggestions on how to make some sentences sound better.

Anyway, here's my list (since I'm too lazy to create an account, and too lazy to comment on the songs themselves):

1). Revelations

2). Prophecy

3). Death

4). Conquest

5). Shadows in the Flame

Thanks! I already had to go back and revise my comments. Found I had more room to rant than I originally thought. LOL!!! Man, don't give ME that much running-room textually!

Please do let me know if I have any misspellings / poor grammar, won't you? Someone has to look after us when Freeze isn't around.

Ok, to date I have never chimed in on this subject despite having listened to very little else since I got my copy. My list is now posted. Like most, though, it changes daily (and I cheated by including intros! Hey, how can you separate them, right?)

Alone
Nostrodamus
Sands Of time/ Pestilence And Plague

Persecution.

Would have been easier to ask what songs we didn't like, there'd only be about none of them. Liking Hope/New Beginnings more and more too. 59 days to Auckland gig. Disturbed and Def Leppard now challenging Priest for ticket bookings at the arena here , bastards. [ although I am going to Def Leppard!]
[Chris 15363] Wednesday, July 09, 2008 9:57:25 PM
Awakening - Revelations

Sands of Time - Pestilence and Plague... the final minute of this song is fantastic.

Persecution
Shadows - Visions

I also love

Soy, you are such the drama queen, there are more songs worthy of note than 3.
[Soylentgreen4u] Sunday, June 29, 2008 6:42:22 PM

1-VISIONS
2-NOSTRADAMUS
3-PROPHECY
....UNFORTUNATELY I PRETTY MUCH LUMP THEM IN TOGETHER AFTER THAT.

[Scott Gavin] Friday, June 27, 2008 7:10:11 PM
Its impossible to choose when the songs are so fresh, and to my ear all sound so good. Its easier for me to say I haven't got a song I DON'T like, whereas with AOR I instantly didn't much like Wheels Of Fire, just cos it was a bit dated and cheesy sounding, but I never skip past it, all Priest material is worth listening to [ except maybe Don't Go, but even it has a curiosity value], if you as a fan don't like it, it will be the favourite of the next Priest-head in line.
[Screamin' Demon] Friday, June 27, 2008 8:35:42 AM
Couldn't agree with you more. And it's really great to see 'Priest fans loving this album. This album met beyond my expectations. Truly a great album. Possibly my favourite Judas Priest album.
[Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Freek from Friday, June 27, 2008 2:45:59 AM)
[Freek] Friday, June 27, 2008 2:45:59 AM

I find it interesting that some tunes that i dont really rate high (conquest.. alone) are favourites of many of my fellow posters, but i think that is what makes this such a great album.  It has something for everyone.

I like what you said about Shadow's, I agree, I wish there were more to that song.

I like Revelations, Visions, Persecution, Alone, Pestilence and Plague.  Of course this will change.  I find the more I listen, the more I love it.

[\m/ Metal Maniac \m/] Monday, June 23, 2008 9:26:27 AM

Visions
War
Prophecy
Conquest

But they're all damn good.
[Sad_Wings86] Monday, June 23, 2008 5:16:21 AM
it's difficult but i think that the best songs of nostraradmus are:
1)alone
2)prophecy
3)pestilence and plague
4)death
5)future of mankind
(but i love all the other songs)
[Return_of_Darth_Painkiller_0870] Monday, June 23, 2008 4:25:04 AM
I'm sure this will change again at some point, but for now it's:

1. Pestilence and Plague
2. Nostradamus
3. Death
4. Lost Love
5. Prophecy
[KKsguitar] Sunday, June 22, 2008 11:40:47 PM

This is hard to narrow down, but i think I can do it.
(Not in order)

Nostradamus
Future Of Mankind
Exile
Lost Love
Visions

I really love the chorus on Future Of Mankind, it runs through my head all the time now.

~KKsguitar

[67gemini] Sunday, June 22, 2008 8:40:51 PM
This changes almost daily, but for now...

1. Death
2. Persecution
3. Exiled
4. Nostradamus
5. Prophecy
[codynstuff] Saturday, June 21, 2008 8:56:26 PM
Tough to say, I really like most of them, I guess i have to go with:

1. Sands of Time/Pestilence and Plague
2. Persecution
3. Alone
4. Nostradamus
5. Future of Mankind

Though I really love the whole CD as a whole.
[X-Jazz] Saturday, June 21, 2008 8:55:13 PM

Right now (but constantly changing):

1) Conquest
2) Pestilence And Plague
3) Alone
4) Shadows In The Flame/Visions (Shadows should have been a full song in itself)
5) Revelations

[Brent 27744] Saturday, June 21, 2008 9:17:48 AM
The 5 best songs are:

1. Alone
2. War
3. Exiled
4. Persecution
5. Conquest
[sergiodefenders] Friday, June 20, 2008 10:53:34 PM

In order:

1- Future of Mankind
2- Shadows in the Flame - Visions
3- Awakenning -Revelations
4- Calm before the Storm - Nostradamus
5 -Dawn of Creation - Prophecy

[spapad] Friday, June 20, 2008 12:00:08 AM
My finger just strays to the repeat button when I finish Alone. I know there are more great tunes to come but I JUST LOVE THAT SONG!
[Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Tephra Rising from Thursday, June 19, 2008 10:20:26 PM)
[Tephra Rising] Thursday, June 19, 2008 10:20:26 PM
I really like Conquest.  To me that one sounds like a really classic, vintage Priest song.

After that (and not really in any order of preference):

1.  Shadows in the Flame/Visions
2.  Persecution
3.  Death (that's awesome, it reminds me of something Alice Cooper would sing)
4.  Alone

Honorable mention:  I really like the opening to Calm Before the Storm (track 8, disc 2).  That cool electric-acoustic guitar interlude has a funky, kinda 70s feel to it.

The more I listen to this magnum opus, the more I really enjoy it.
[Eternal Betrayer] Thursday, June 19, 2008 6:34:03 PM
1. Dawn Of Creation / Prophecy
2. Awakening / Revelations
3. Shadows In The Flames / Visions
4. Calm Before The Storm / Nostradamus

Haven't found a fifth track I really like yet. There's a bit too much "parping" keyboard overkill for my liking, at the moment. I wish they'd have gone for it more on some of the tracks (like the title-track which is much more guitar driven) instead of all the ploddy, over long, self indulgent & dirge-y worthiness.

Considering KK & Glenn produced the album, it's interesting that the rhythm guitars are quite so far down in the mix.

1-Alone
2-Exiled
3-Pestilance and Plague
4-Death
5-Future of Mankind
[seely] Wednesday, June 18, 2008 8:12:05 AM
In no order:

-Nostradamus
-Prophecy
-Revalations
-Pestilance And Plague
-Conquest
[Screamin' Demon] Wednesday, June 18, 2008 7:58:53 AM
The drumming on Exiled sounds a bit like the beat of the Terminator 2 theme
[Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by nathan0212 from Tuesday, June 17, 2008 12:37:00 PM)
[nathan0212] Tuesday, June 17, 2008 12:37:00 PM

Prophecy- a fantastic start to the album, really catchy
War- The word epic captured in one piece of music
Pestilence and Plague- ROB SINGS ITALIAN! NUFF SAID!
Exiled- fantastic, another epic one (but in a totally different way to War)
Visions- I dare you not to get shivers down your spine when Shadows in The Flame links to this.

[Freek] Tuesday, June 17, 2008 8:56:08 AM
Revelations -- cool how it works up to a fever pitch..
War  -- gothic, bombastic, fantastic.. good for playing Warcraft..
Death -- love the way Rob uses his screech
Exiled -- reminds me of the Old Priest with piano interludes
Lost Love -- nobody and I mean NOBODY does a metal ballad like Priest

Do I have to limit it to five? Thats hard... Edited at: Tuesday, June 17, 2008 9:17:12 AM

Umm very hard to say.

My vote may be a little bias after listning to the 9 track promo for a while now & the Nostradamus title track for about 2 months.
& its early days so will probley change.

in no order

Nostradamus
Persecution
Pestilence & plague
Alone
Death
[Healer] Monday, June 16, 2008 1:12:59 PM
Hmm, though one.  I love the whole Album but right now I'd have to say my favorite song is Revelations, then in no paticular order: Alone, Persercution, Pestilance and plaque, and  Nostradamus

[ZaNMaTo] Monday, June 16, 2008 12:33:06 PM

5. Exiled
4. Revelations
3. Death
2. Pestilence And Plague
1. Future Of Mankind

But honestly though, I feel like i've left out a lot, this album is THAT good.

Nostradamus - of course...the fast, double bass fast-cutter, featuring a Painkiller-like rhythm, great symphony section
Revelations - great pounder, very optimistic, lotsa headbanging space here, makes me lift right up as I listen to it, love the accoustics in this number, great when you're feeling angry to get your energy out, killer guitar shredding
Visions - Now what could be more groovy and cool, a lot of sound in this one, great song to listen to when deeply in love
Persecution - Great speed and power, clever use of symphony in this one...certainly makes it sleuthful and badass too, killer shredding, outstanding drumming
Conquest - Makes ya feel you're really out there lookin' for something, reminds me a bit of Iron Maiden's Dance Of Death album, another great groove like Visions, killer guitar solo here too
