Because of Judas Priest, i`m more open minded when it comes to metal music than the way i was before....i understand the meaning of those things of metal that i couldn`t before....here at home my family listens to salsa, and baladas....im latina so its normal here, so i`ve been discovering this music all by myself ... i just heard one day the HELL PATROLL and PAINKILLER and thought that was the craziest thing i`ve ever heard.......just imagine when i heard the rest..........and i haven`t discovered every thing about JP yet.....so im ready for it to blow my mind!!!!!!......

Judas Priest made the band between my husband and I even stronger.

When we met we didn't know we both loved Judas Priest.
When my darling discovered that I could sing most of the Priest songs by heart , he said " you are the woman of my dreams , I'll never let you go"

BEEN LISTENING TO JUDAS PRIEST SINCE I WAS 14, IN RETROSPECT SINCE 1980,  THE MUSIC IS NOT ONLY INCREDIBLE BUT IT MADE ME BUY EVEN EARLIER STUFF FROM THEM WHICH I FOUND EVEN BETTER, SAD WINGS OF DESTINY AND STAINED CLASS WILL ALWAYS BE A PART OF MY CHILDHOOD THAT I WIIL NEVER FORGET,  BUT IM SURE MY MOTHER WILL.  PRIEST HAS ENDURED AND WILL ALWAYS BE IN A WAY A DERRESSING BUT YET AT THE SAME TIME MOTIVATIONAL TOOL FOR ME

Although I am only nearly as old as Painkiller is, I totally agree with your words. In my case, they've been the source of inspiration for me when I'm going through lower moments. I remember their early struggle and I say to myself  "Get up, you pussy, look at what they accomplished by standing up". Again, I haven't grown with them, but for the last 5 years I have grown into their sound, into their world and it's just amazing that I feel this way. This is turning into a sappy post, but truth is, I connect with the PRIEST. I connect with the sometimes silly lyrics they have in Turbo and I simply stand in awe at the monumental pieces of writing that are Beyond the Realms of Death and Rock Hard Ride Free, each in its own way. I could go on "talking about my rock forever", but I'm sure I've said enough to get across!

Cheers people! And lastly, because of Judas Priest, HEAVY FUCKIN' METAL was spawned!

Because of Judas Priest I have managed to stay sane whilst my husband has been on deployment in Afghanistan. They always cheer me up! I love singing along too LOL!
Also, because of Judas Priest I have been inspired to take up the drums - something I have wanted to do since I was about 9 years old but was never given the opportunity to previously

Because of Judas Priest I have found my true self.
[ron h] Saturday, January 31, 2009 5:56:52 AM
There are many, many things I could write as a response to this...but all in all, it boils down to this for me...

...Because of Judas Priest, I will always have a 'Friend'...

Anyone who has talked with me knows how passionate I am about music, in particular Priest.  Having been introduced to them at such an early age and before their powerful rise to the top, we kind'a 'grew' up together.  The 'Boy's' have been with me for 30+ years now, and a lot has happend in those years...I'm talking parties in my youth, graduations, military, a couple of marriages (and their respective divorces!!), births, deaths, and coming soon grandchildren, different jobs, long road trips (I used to be a truck driver), as well as through Priest, I've made many wonderful friends here, at JP.com.

The list could go on forever, but I'm sure you get my point, Judas Priest has been, and always will be my friend to turn to...
[mullerapa] Thursday, January 29, 2009 2:45:15 PM
I have a complain to say. Last year Judas' came to Colombia but I heard that they were to come to Venezuela, well I know it isn't a bands decision where they go but I wanted to know what happened with us. If this is because our actual political situation or the ticket sale wasn't quite good as they expected or what. Here we've recieved monsters bands as Maiden and actually we're gonna receive 'em this year, so why not Judas' if they've never came here and they're better than Maidend. I hope you can come some day or I'd have to go there to see you live.
[mullerapa] Thursday, January 29, 2009 2:24:54 PM
hi, I'm from venezuela. I listen judas' since 14 and I'm 31 now. JP is the best band ever and that's why I hear  any song from them every day. Depending on the mood it'd be a speed one or a slow one but they're always a good way to start a day. I have not much to say right now but I hope you keep listening to this metal god. see you.

Ironically, JP has kept me chaste!  Here's my Peyton Place confession:  Last summer I ran into a man I had dated 20 years earlier.   Although he is married the attraction between us is still very strong and he made it perfectly clear he'd have no problem straying.  I have to admit, the temptation was strong but the desire to not make an amazingly stupid mistake was stronger!  I made a conscious decision to channel all the energy into something a little safer....i.e. our boys, Judas Priest.  I rediscovered them and have even been inspired to learn guitar.  Infinitely more fulfilling!  Thanks guys!

F*&# i dont think there's many a place i go or many a thing i do that doesnt involve Priest, and them lifting my spirits, keeping me sane..  BEST BAND IN THE WORLD!!!

I can say I'm a life-long metal fan. I love how other people my age (40) are so shocked when they hear me listening to music like Judas Priest! I love metal & that will never change. ( I'm a Rocker) Just because metal is not  the current trend of what the music industry wants YOU to listen to so they can make tons of money, doesn't mean I can just turn on my radio & be happy with what they're playing. NOTHING speaks to my soul the way Priest does!
[EriktheRed9] Tuesday, July 29, 2008 6:33:40 PM
Because of Judas Priest i can pull up to a crowd of Gangster rappers and say..." What, you think that rap is bad ass ? You want to know what bad ass really is within the power of music, because you don't even have a clue...." Then i would drop  "Deal with the Devil" on them and they could do nothing but squirm.

People that don't understand metal are quick to brush it off.  Maybe they like to go to the opera or to a musical, and they think that makes them refined, which is fine - to each his own.  Seeing or listening to Judas Priest is like that for me.  If you've ever been to a JP concert, you know what I mean.  After I saw them for the first time, 3/26/84, my life was never the same.  Their music speaks to me like no one else's.  Long live Priest!!

No love stories, all I can say is that the first time I heard JP it was in the 70s and I had a head full of chemicals.

I distinctly recall that Tyrant made a huge impact. I saw all these little fire demons jump out of the fire and have a medieval style battle, right at my feet.

I wish I could find my first car.  What a widow maker it was.  1972 240Z.  Killed everything in site.  Would jump off the line in second gear at 9000 rpm with a rip snort.  God forbid you anyone wanted to try her on a curvy road.  God I loved that car.  Took my buddies '69 Firebird to task.  Took an '80s Celica Supra ( sorry, at a buck 20 down the highway I didn't note the exact year ).  Things happen very fast at that speed !  No romance with that car.  Even my girlfriend at the time didn't want anything to do with it.  Talk about "Heading Out to the Highway".  Some very "lean muscle" !

Jeanine that is truly a lovely story.  Whenever I use to bump into my man over the years there was always some sort of pull but well nothing acted on.  Does you man still have muscle?  1970 GTO wow.  I am a muscle car enthusiast.  We have a 1968 Chevy chevelle and a 1971 Buick skylark.  Both are mint and the chevelle is mean and sports some horse power.  My man's car of choice that we hope to have one day is a 1969 GTO....and we will have get one too.  Thanks for the story. :)
The Monkeys aye....showing your age girl!!! Haha.

My love story doesn't involve Judas Priest.....but The Monkee's!!   It is a rather long story but ok if you want to read it.  I met my husband when I was at home.  He was installing my parent's kitchen cabinets with his brother (contractor). I noticed he had a 1970 GTO (ok, maybe I was a bit shallow, I did date some guys because of the kind of car they had).  He had asked me out the 2nd day they were there.  I had to turn him down because I was grounded (yes I was only a wee lass of 17).  I had been out the night before until about 6:00 a.m..  So, days go by and my sister says hey let's go see the Monkee's, they are playing at the fair. On the way to buy tickets, we passed a Pontiac car show, I said to my sister "Let's stop there, maybe that cute guy that worked on the house is at the car show" then she says "no, we have to buy tickets and get to the concert" so we go to the show and guess  who is in the same sectiion at the concert?  My husband!  Cool heh?  Must have been fate or ??  almost 20 years of marriage and four kids later...he's still the one.

Well,my story isn`t even close to being as great as that, but they caused me to spend alot of time alone in my room ....playing guitar and staying out of trouble as a teen.To bad my bone head friends didn`t follow my lead!!

What a great story!!

I've been married 10 years and only discovered Priest six months ago :).  In that time, I have cut all my hair off, lost about 10lbs, bought a dominatrix costume with riding crop and started playing a Gibson Flying V. My husband doesn't listen to metal, but he sure as hell isn't complaining either!!

I don't have one nearly close to yours and it doesn't involve JP.  However, I think that how you met your guy is really excellent and I think I speak for everyone in saying that we're happy thing worked out this way for you.

I've loved Judas Priest since I was thirteen when this boy two years older than me played me "Breakin the Law".  I was hooked and they have been my favourite band to this day.  The boy for some reason use to like playing ME music.

The boy was hot and desired by all the girls and never failed to have a pretty girl on his arm thru his teens and adult life.  We were friends and bumped into each other a couple of times over the years having both lived in the Westside for the most.

Anyway as life would find me single and fancy free at 38, I posted an ad on a dating site and simply had the caption
"Catch the play now, eye to eye, don't let chances pass you by" and to my surprise I got the reply "Always someone at your back, biding their time, for attack".
Well I was truly excited and converstion began about Judas Priest and then moved onto other things.  Over three weeks of emails and no photo exchange, he asked me to the drags.   We hooked up and OMG it was the boy!  The hot boy from my past, the boy whom is now my man!! and is still as hot as ever.  We have found in each other what we could not find in any other mate and it's thanks to Judas Priest bringin us together.

Anyone else got a love story thanks to Judas Priest?
