Are they going to be playing exactly the same set in Hammersmith as they played at High Voltage last year?
I don't really mind (it's a great set) - I just wondered

Is Good that the hymns of the band never stop playing, and that those who have never played touch for the fans. The tour has been really wonderful and with 20 tracks is more than enough for this great tour.

[Screamin' Demon] Saturday, June 11, 2011 12:01:18 PM

My favourite would be:

Battle Hymn / One Shot At Glory

Death
Saints In Hell
Angel
The Hellion / Electric Eye
Eat Me Alive
Freewheel Burning
Sinner
Painkiller
Hell Bent For Leather
Wheels Of Fire
You've Got Another Thing Comin'

[Gobberz] Tuesday, May 17, 2011 11:47:40 AM

OK, they are retiring after this upcoming tour. Whatever. This is strictly my own personal opinion, but I think they need to do one of those "An Evening With" tours with no opening act. Now is the time! This would be the PERFECT Priest show for me!
set 1:
1. Rapid Fire     2. Jawbreaker     3. Never Satisfied     4. Judas Rising     5. Nostradamus     6. Alone     7. Rock Forever     8. Hot Rockin'     9. Run Of The Mill     10. Blood Red Skies     11. Epitaph     12. Island Of Domination     13. Raw Deal

intermission

set 2:
14. The Hellion / Electric Eye     15. Rock Hard Ride Free     16. Dying To Meet You (part 1)     17. A Touch Of Evil     18. The Ripper     19. Stained Class     20. Delivering The Goods     21. Living After Midnight     22. Painkiller     23. Eat Me Alive     24. Victim Of Changes     25. Dying To Meet You (part 2)

encore: 26. Before The Dawn     27. Freewheel Burning     28. Running Wild     29. You've Got Another Thing Cimin'

I tried writing an ultimate set list on another thread a few days ago , IMPOSSIBLE !!!
The Band should perform all the songs from 2 albums ( different ones ) every night  until they have went through the entire catalog, then start over again.
that way if you caught 2 or 3 shows you would hear songs you never got before plus some of the hits too

My dream setlist would be every Halford/Priest album played start to finish. Thats right Rocka Rolla right up to Nostradamus. In other words it doesn't matter to me. Play anything.
[adam browning] Wednesday, November 10, 2010 2:26:12 PM
Re Metal Pixie, this is my attempt -

1. Solar Angels
2. Delivering The Goods
3. Grinder
4. Between The Hammer & The Anvil
5. Bullet Train
6. Never Satisfied
7. Beyond The Realms Of Death
8. The Sentinel
9. Visions
10. Reckless
11. Subterfuge
12. Dissident Aggressor
12. Hellrider
14. Screaming For Vengeance
15. Ram It Down
16. Tyrant
-----------------
17. Hellion/Electric Eye
18. Living after Midnight
19. Hell Bent For Leather
-------------------------------------
20. Breaking The Law
21. Another Thing Comin'

The main set list contains one song from each album. Rob will never sing any Ripper tunes but there are there anyway. You may argue The Sentinel & BTROD are classics and I wouldn't argue, but they need to be there. I kept the encores very generic to keep the vanilla fans happy. Anyway, the days of the band playing 21 song sets are long gone........
[Head banger] Thursday, October 28, 2010 7:35:53 PM
I would go for that.

Ok ... how about one (1) song from every album (all the way back to Rocka Rolla AND including the Ripper-era albums) ...
and NOT the "hit" tune(s) from any of them.
Get a true overview of the band's history and hear songs that rarely [if ever] got live play.

And, while they're at it ...
how about including stuff from the guys' non-Priest projects?
"Scarified" by Racer X
Anything off Glenn's solo albums
Anything off Rob's solo stuff
Get the band KK just produced to open for them

I don't know ... mix it up a little bit - I think these guys are at a place now where they could do this and it would WORK!!!!

I love the usuals ... but there is so much more meat to this band!!!!!

Am I the only nerd posting dream setlists nowadays?
[Steve Forrest] Thursday, May 27, 2010 9:11:15 AM
Ok, it's been a few monthis. Here's my updated dream setlist for a Judas Priest show:

Let Us Prey / Call For The Priest

Jawbreaker
Blood Red Skies
Island Of Domination
Run Of The Mill
Steeler
Night Crawler
Rock Forever
Hot Rockin'
Before The Dawn
The Hellion / Electric Eye
Painkiller
Dying To Meet You (part 2)
Genocide
Livin' After Midnight
You've Got Another Thing Comin'

encore:
Last Rose Of Summer
Victim Of Changes
Freewheel Burning
[Steve Forrest] Wednesday, November 04, 2009 8:59:02 PM

I'm just listing the songs I personally would like to see them play. I'll re-word it. If I were in a Judas Priest tribute band, here's the set list that would most likely be performed:
Let Us Prey / Call For The Priest, Running Wild, Rock Hard Ride Free, Stained Class, Epitaph, Island Of Domination, Sands Of Time, Pestilence & Plague, Freewheel Burning, Alone, Run Of The Mill, Jawbreaker, Rapid Fire, The Rage, Last Rose Of Summer, Rock Forever, Steeler
encore: Before The Dawn, Sinner, Livin' After Midnight

I realize the only way I'll ever hear a lot of these songs live is to form a JP tribute band and play them ourselves

[scottyboy1977] Wednesday, November 04, 2009 5:08:15 PM
No disrespect, Steve, but just to be at a Priest concert is a gift. I don't give a crap what they play. Hell, it could be "Amazing Grace" for all I care. I just had the privilege of seeing them this year after nearly 25 years and I loved every minute of it. The signature songs as well as the others were awesome. As for set lists, I have no particular songs I wished they would have played. There all plain awesome!!!! I  have my favorites but love them all!!!!
[Steve Forrest] Wednesday, November 04, 2009 4:23:33 PM
actually, looking at my previous set list, I would dump Hellrider and replace it with Fire Burns Below.
and I would dump Fever and replace it with Troubleshooter

Yes, I want a JP tour called "an Evening With Judas Priest"
This would be the perfect JP show:

Dawn Of Creation
Prophecy
Awakening
Revelations
Rock Forever
Island Of Domination
Rock Hard Ride Free
Sands Of Time
Pestilence & Plague
Judas Rising
Starbreaker
Run Of The Mill
Victim Of Changes
Steeler

(intermission)

Let Us Prey / Call For The Priest
Hot Rockin'
Freewheel Burning
Alone
Fever
Hellrider
Dying To Meet You
Evening Star
Running Wild
Nightcrawler
Living After Midnight
Rapid Fire
You've Got Another Thing Comin'

encore:
Before The dawn
Riding On The Wind
Exciter
Future Of Mankind

[Steve Forrest] Friday, October 02, 2009 3:25:09 PM
Here are the songs they should STOP playing because they are soooooooo tired! Certain ones were never good in the first place
Breaking The Law
Hell Bent For Leather
Metal Gods
Electric Eye
The Green Manalishi
Diamonds And Rust
Painkiller
A Touch Of Evil
Turbo Lover

I'm sure this will piss off some people, but come on! They've played these songs to death! Let's hear some different ones!
I know they can never drop Living After Midnight or You've Got Another Thing Comin'. Those are their signature songs. But the rest of them? Time to replace them with Call For The Priest, Genocide, Rock Forever, Before The Dawn, Starbreaker, White Heat Red Hot, and such
[Brent Robinson] Wednesday, March 18, 2009 8:59:10 AM
So, they have finally decided to play "British Steel" complete. I had decided to make the trip to Toronto upon hearing that they were coming to Canada, period!

...But, I am pleased that I will finally get to hear "Rapid Fire", "You Don't Have To Be Old To Be Wise", "The Rage" and "Steeler" live - after all of these years. What's that saying about patience???

I'm coming from Montreal, if there's anyone looking to hook up for a beer before hand, I'd love the company and to chat Priest before the show...

Cheers,

Brent

Hello Priest fans around the world.

I,ve been to The Priest Feast in Dortmund/Germany Tuesday 24 Februari 2009.

It was once again a fantastic evening with "The Gods of HEAVY METAL"

The Sound of all instruments were great and Rob's Voice was outstanding.
It reminded me to their great era in the 80's,so sharp was he screaming and singing through the entire set that evening.

I can't wait until the 22 of March when they arrive in my Country (Belgium)

Many people asked about the songs they play this tour so here is the Setlist for the

PRIEST - FEAST Tour 2009

1.Dawn Of Creation/ Prophecy
2.Metal gods
3.Eat Me Alive
4.Between the Hammer and The Anvil
5.Devils Child
6.Breaking The Law
7.Hell Patrol
8.Death
9.Dissident Agressor
10.Angel
11.The Hellion/Electric Eye
12.Rock Hard,Ride Free
13.The Sinner
14.Painkiller
15.Hell bent for Leather
16.Green Manalishi(With the 2 pronged Crown)

For all those who go to see the METAL GODS, enjoy your evening of  Heavy Metal.

Can someone post a setlist from last night's show in Dublin? I'm wondering if it has changed from the 2008 tour at all. Thanks.
[ladiesman] Friday, December 05, 2008 4:35:30 PM
I shuold like to hear songs like Frewheel burning,Screaming for vengeance,Saints in hell,Rocka rolla,Dreamer deceiver/Deceiver.

I actually think that I'd like to hear the whole album of Nostradamus with a special show, but in the future I wanna listen to more classic songs and forgotten songs, specially from the two first albums.
[Udo Sapper] Tuesday, October 28, 2008 11:03:48 AM
I truly hope to hear and see the whole Nostradamus CD played on next year's show.

Plus a couple of classics as encores.

Udo
[astarup] Friday, October 24, 2008 1:20:56 PM
AMEN!!!!
My biggest wish is to hear/see a show with mainly Nostradamus songs, that wouls SO awesome!! Not that I dont like the rest, but I think they should put more new songs in, than always play the old ones ... For fans like me who has seen them several times, Im sure Im not alone in wishing for some new songs ...

Have you watched the you tube clips of Rob singing Metal Gods? Particularly in Melbourne, he is hitting that high note on "Slaves" like a demon!

This is a better performance than the 2005 tour to be sure !
[Steve Forrest] Thursday, September 18, 2008 2:49:03 PM
Judas Priest should play certain songs at a lower key so Rob can hit the higher notes a bit easier. Plus the songs would sound even heavier. Rush does that with certain songs, like 2112 and Circumstances. Genesis does that with songs like Mama, which is a creepy song anyway, but sounds even better on the recent live cd.
[Head banger] Thursday, September 18, 2008 9:33:42 AM
true, and Neil Pert does a drum solo that makes me tired just watching it.  dunno if the vocals for rush are as chalenging to the throat as priest.  but I would love to see it.

Rush has been doing these kind of tours since 1996. If they can do it, Judas Priest can do it. They're all about the same age.   Plus, Geddy Lee still plays 79 different instruments at the same time. All Rob Halford has to do is vocals. He should have no problem.[Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Head banger from Thursday, September 18, 2008 7:21:46 AM)

WOW, that would kick ass.  dunno if the boys can pull that off night after night, but if they toured slowly enough, at least a day off between every show, perhaps.  fingers crossed!

set 1: about 70 or 80 minutes worth of Nostradamus

intermission

set 2: Let Us Prey / Call For The Priest  *  Rock Forever   *   Genocide   *   Stained Class   *   Rock Hard Ride Free   *   Never Satisfied   *   Hell Bent For Leather   *   A Touch Of Evil   *   Fever   *   Hellrider   *   Delivering The Goods   *   Starbreaker   *   Screaming For Vengeance   *   Living After Midnight   *   You've Got Another Thing Comin'

encore: Before The Dawn   *   The Hellion / Electric Eye   *   Freewheel Burning   *   Steeler   *   Dying To Meet You (part 2 only)
