The problem with Metallica is that the guys in the band think they are more talented than they are, the fact that their music has become irrelevant over the last 15 years proves it. They've run out of ideas, now they just do Metallica by the numbers. also their egos have gotten out of control. Ulrich was always a prick and hasn't changed but Hetfield is the one whose ego has blown way out of proportion to his talent. Okay, I remember the add on TV fow the Rock n Roll hall of Fame ceremony, and it stated that Metallica was the heaviest, fastest, greatest band ever. There is no other Metallica after the first 3...Well except for Re-revisited with their covers. Pretty funny. I saw Metallica in a tiny old theatre during their Master of Puppets tour, with Metal Church opening. "I'll hit you with a ton of bricks!" That was an incredible show. Haven't wasted a cent on them in concert since. Don't care about their concert in the round or any of their new stuff. When they play them as much on the radio as Aerosmith and Madonna, then I'd say they're done. I almost ALMOST had to buy Guitar Hero Metallica because of Hell Bent for Leather on it. (Why is there no Guitar Hero: British Metal Invasion????) Instead, I was relieved I could get GH: Smash Hits with Electric Eye. At least something Priest. I can't seem to figure out how to get downloadable content. Maybe when my kid is 10 years old, he can explain it to me. Only this week did I finally figure out my MP3 player. Apparently it can be used for more than just an fm radio! And as for that photo with the loafers, grandpa slip-ons and clogs...yeeeesh. Sorry fellas. Lame.

Well, I have no real animosity towards them but I do agree that their OLDER material is best. At least for me. We did Whiplash and I think it came out pretty good. We are working on Seek and Destroy right now. If it turns out OK, I will post a link.

Honestly, it is not that big of a deal. I am not a die-hard Metallica fan. I like some of their stuff. Mostly their old music from the albums you mentioned prior to 'Justice. Honestly, it is not that big of a deal. I am not a die-hard Metallica fan. I like some of their stuff. Mostly their old music from the albums you mentioned prior to 'Justice. Honestly, it is not that big of a deal. I am not a die-hard Metallica fan. I like some of their stuff. Mostly their old music from the albums you mentioned prior to 'Justice. Honestly, it is not that big of a deal. I am not a die-hard Metallica fan. I like some of their stuff. Mostly their old music from the albums you mentioned prior to 'Justice. There is a song or two I like from the Black album but, by and large, I do not care for their stuff these days. As far as their "look"...well, it does not bother me at all. I mean, take a close look at ME!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the nurses at my doctor's office was listening to Raw Steel one day while I was there and she said, "You would never know it to look at you that you do this kind of music..." SO true!

Bring James vocals more up front.

Metallica is just sad. They just seemed to have lost an edge and a desire to do more. Trying to divorce yourself from your true roots is a joke.
Ever listened to Disturbed? Relatively new band, older stuff is a work in progress and their effort last year was truely awesome. I hope they continue to evolve as well, but not forget their roots.

Yes I agree,but still Nostradamus is an OVERKILL. If they would of shortened it up to 10 tracks,with a variety of songs than it would of been better.There are not a variety of songs...it all swings to the slower side and is one dimensional in my opinion.And at this late in the band's career..I think its a shame that they want to "evolve"...I think that 'Angel Of Retribution" is a perfect Judas Priest album with a little bit of everything the fans wanted. I can't say I hate Metallica....I think everything they made from "And Justice..." and prior is stuff worth having. The 'black' album I liked for a time, then...much like a piece of Juicy Fruit gum, it lost flavor. I couldn't get by anything they made after that one.
I WILL tell you one thing I don't like at all....the fact that Metallica received a nomination for Rock And Roll Hall of Fame induction BEFORE Judas Priest. That......that's just....WRONG.

Yeah Justin,that sucks!! Metallica is the worst disappointment the music industry has ever seen!! Hands down!! I remember back in 1984 I was listening to "Kill 'Em All" ....then a friend came up to me and said :Hey JD listen to this.....and he put head phones on my ear and played "Ride The Lightning" for the first time...and I was in awe of these guys,as Ride The Lightning had just been released...we were stoked on this album man,it was good times...then 2 years later we both were at a party in 1986 and another friend put on "Master Of Puppets"!!
Man those were the good old days!! And then Cliff Died,they put out And Justice For All...which now does'nt seem so bad,really...even at the time we were like "..ok..its alright"....but maybe the next one will be better...and then to the horror we watched in 1990 or 91 I can't remember..but "The Black Album" was released and we all threw up all over ourselves!!
