I just fuck around with it till I get something I like the sound of, my little Spider 3 Line 6 amp and my Jackson King V.

Personally i prefer to have my own 'tone'...JP guitar work seems centred on middle and top end..bass way down. I play via multi fx (zoom gfx 707,DOD tec4x, digitech rp200) - so multi options are available..is all a matter of playing with it til ur satisfied.. I spend days just getting something right...probably to change it the next day..then go native...lol - just me and the Marshall 5010.

Well, in that case, you probably dont have to change the tone much. Just palm mute the 6th string, BUT let ring the notes on the 5th.

Usually I let it ring

Hmm... Well, you certainly have to keep the R-Fier stack (or the messa boogie model). Then, if you have gain all the way to ten (like I usualy have), it would be a good idea to turn it down a little. Not too much, tho, not past 7, or 6. Playing around with the bass knob will probably turn up something too.

I dont know how pickups go on Jacksons, but try switching them too.

How do you play that riff? Do you mute the 6th string, or do you let it ring?

(roland cube 60 + Jackson DK2S) Does anybody know how to get a Judas Priest sound out of it? The Mesa Boogie amp model is really good but also very dominant:

|--3--| |--3--| |--3--| |--3--|
E E E E E E E E E E E E
--------------------------------------|
--------------------------------------|
--------------------------------------|
--------------------------------------|
-----------0--------1--------1--1--1--|
--2--2--2-----2--2-----2--2-----------|

If I play that (hell patrol, riff that leads into the verse) you can barely hear the other notes because the bass notes (F#) are too dominant.

Can anybody please oh please help me
