Man, sucks when an earthquake strikes and it rocks you awake 10 minutes before your alarm does. I don't wanna wake up 10 minutes early, damnit! Let me finish my sleep!
First World problems? Eh, yeah....'s all I know, though.
As Bud strolls down the street he looks up and notice's a sign hanging on an old haunt that he used to like to visit. He was going to keep going but decided to stop and have a look inside to see what's up. He noticed it's kind of quiet now but still a few regulars around just hanging at the bar having a discussion. Bud was going to approach and join in but decided it would be best to just observe and listen. No need to interject himself. He noticed on the sound system that the new Priest was playing. He smiled to himself thinking that no one here would believe that he thought this might be their best album yet. Bud holds up his drink and unknowingly to those still around sends cheers from the back of the Cafe. He finishes his drink and quietly slips out the door unnoticed.
...still my favorite thread. I miss this. Take care.

While listening in on the boys' discussions and downing a glass of Cuba Libre, even in her buzzed state she notices Bud's silhouette leave the Cafe. Sad that she missed him by mere seconds, she gives a silent "cheers" to Bud.
.......Bud! Nice seeing you again. Glad to see that you're loving the new album! I love it, too.

Sorry to hear that, but I agree with them and think that there may have been other factors not related to you. There is no way of knowing but don't feel it was your fault (unless you really know you messed up on purpose, which wouldn't be making you feel so bad if that was the case)...anyway, remember that there are always many opportunities to come and probably this was not the one for you heavy metal works in misterious ways, they say

Thanks, HB! This last interview was a big loss, but you're right. There is always next time.
you might have been very good for the job. someone else might have been great. maybe the interview was a factor, maybe someone else applied who did it before. keep you chin up, practice interviews. If you can get someone to do mock interviews do that if not practice them in front of a mirror. record yourself. there is always next time. good luck

So...say that you are told about getting a higher position at the company you work for. You are put in touch with the manager, and go through a phone interview with them. You go through the specifics of said job, answer a few questions, and at the end of the interview, feel that you would be more than capable of completing the tasks requested by this position, provided some training was done. During the waiting process, your co-workers tell you things along the lines of, "Oh, you've got this one in the bag." "You'll definitely get that job." "An email from HR? Hope it's a 'Congrats!'". NOW? It turns out you didn't get the job after all. Hell, you didn't even get to the in-person interview.
This position was offered to you on a fucking SILVER PLATTER! How much did you actually have to FUCK UP for it to just slip away like that??
......and that was the question to myself early this morning upon seeing that rejection email. I failed not only myself, but my co-workers. Heh. Well, guess all those trolls were right. I am just one special type of LOSER.

A light day? Not bad! Remind me to work for a US-based company if President Trump somehow deports my ass to Costa Rica.
Considering lunch hour and some breaks it's actually working 10 hours, let's say. As for grad school I started a couple of years ago but this year I was out of money so I couldn't continue...hopefully next year I can resume. And yes, labor day was yesterday...some of my friends had a light day because they work for american companies here in Costa Rica too.

In a way it's a little sad that this is not as active as it was...probably most of us are just watching what's going on without actually interacting that much or probably the inactivity here also goes along with the band's...hopefully as they release information about the new album this will come back to life for a while. On the other hand, it's actually good to see that we're not having to deal with trolls and false accounts or people attacking others just because. Just remainded me of the days in which we joined our powers to ignore users so that they lost respect points. Got 9 ignores in the way Don't know why since I barely posted anything anyway.

I finally found one in Williamsburg, Ky at 12:30 am on Friday. I had to cut the vacation 2 days early and come to find out it never really hit Orlando oh well better safe than sorry.
I'll take a Jim Beam on the ROCKS!

Budred thought for a second as he walked away. "Freakin' undesirables always tryin' to ruin a good time". He thought it must be the reason for the inactivity. "Way of the world" he proposes. Nothing going on in your own life you may as well try to drag down others too. "Ignore them" he thought. "Mindless people can't help themselves". He couldn't help but think of the old regulars like "Val", HB, Guido, and that guy who's name starts with an A that I can't never remember how to spell when I'm writing and a couple others and how they just keep moving forward even with the undesirables trying to hold them back. Budred thought about how he wouldn't mind visiting the "Priest Cafe" from time to time again but times change and idiots persist so he figures it's best to just keep it a memory. Bud's not really a good writer anyway he just liked the idea of this thread. Kind of fun trying to be imaginative. As he walked away he saw a billboard for an Ozzfest show. He thought "Wow" "Didn't even know Ozzy was still doing them". He couldn't attend because he was heading east to Pittsburgh. Ironically he was going to a Sabbath show too. Zakk Sabbath(Zakk Wylde Sabbath tribute). They were opening for Clutch. Anyway in his mind he wished everyone well and thought maybe another time. Take care.

While still swamped with work, Guido drops into the cafe and most gladly joins his friend, Vail, for a Coke with a splash of rum in it! Perhaps a gluten-free ham and cheese sandwich while she all the Ozzy/Sabbath, Suicidal, etc. in all their glory!
"Not a soul in sight?!?" Pssshhhh!!! You are MISTAKEN, ma friend. I'm still here!!! Unless you don't count anyone under 30 as an "old regular". If that's the case, then, "Fuck you, too". If not then.........cool! Fantastic.
Don't worry. Some of us are still around. Hell, at this point, I don't care if that Aussie pansy-ass of a webmaster ever comes back. FUCK him and the horse he rode on. I'm gonna stay here and make my own Jack and Cokes until the entire universe falls apart.
Apologies for the language. Just came back from a rip-snortin' good time at Ozzfest. Nearly died, but hey, I got to see Black Sabbath w/ Ozzy. They played well. Cheers to the Godfathers of Metal!

Firstly, Trix-alot, this forum happens to be but a stop on the iWeb highway. Many passersby have visibility to it AND to ANYTHING posted on 'public' threads as well as anything you post with your privacy set to 'public' on Facebook. I'll believe you 'get it'.
If you could even try to be civil while interacting with other members here, your experience and presence might not be as dysfunctional. As it is you seem to want everyone to believe you're involved with some character, who may or may not be a biker, and you want us all to simply cower and ignore you both as you act out your drama, wasting thread space, in public when you could romance (or mind fuck) each other via email or PM?
Stranger things have happened ~ Good luck.

Nosey Parker ... hm? Let me think. Nope. I don't recall hearing, nor did I ever use the term, 'Nosey Parker', while living in Texas. Keep in mind, I lived in Texas way back when I was a youngling (69 - 87) and then again as an adult (00 - 10). By and large, Cowboys are gentlemen. Having said that, I have run across some hooligans that would as much sell their mother for lunch money as they would treat a 'woman' with respect. In other words ... game players abound!! Especially on the iWeb and sites with relative lax security protocol / monitoring, unfortunately. I believe the British term / phrase for this type of nonsense would be, 'pratting about'. I agree. There seems to be some chaos. It's distracting. But tolerable, for the most part. (I feel like a cat that gets to play with her food, actually! )
Bottom line: We know who we are and who we can trust.
Yes, it's great that the gang is back again. Now, here's a question for you. You were in TX for a while, is Nosey Parker something they say regularly in Texas? Because that is typically a BRITISH saying. I find it interesting that a Texas Cowboy would use a BRITISH saying rather than an AMERICAN saying like Nosey Nelly. Someone is perhaps trying to cause some "Chaos" here, quite the Captain of it I'd say.
