MetalPixie, I was at the Summerfest and Chicago shows too. My 17 year old son was there too but he was out and about with friends. Cool that your son had a blast (you too!). [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by MetalPixie from Sunday, August 30, 2009 8:06:29 PM)

What a blast!!!!
I f I could figure out how to see EVERY show on EVERY tour and still keep my house, car, job, and other activities going -

Anyone seen the tour schedule for Japan?
Haven't spotted it on the website yet.

I saw them when they came through St. Charles MO for the 30th aniversary British Steel Tour. Its the first show I've seen, and it was amazing. The playlist was really good, and Rock Hard Ride Free was tight. That's one of my favorite songs by them, and i was pleasently suprised to hear it on their playlist. I wish they had done "A Touch Of Evil" though..... I figure going back to Electric on Diamonds and Rust was a really good move, and Victim of Changes got me PUMPED! Great show, great band.

I saw priest with my grandson at pacific ampitheatre Costa Mesa,CA. They were awesome saw them on august 5,and my grandson keeps asking me when they are coming back to town. He's still in awe how great they were.

my brother and i went to the show in columbia md. wow....this is my fourth priest concert and they still kick ass. my brother doesn't go to alot of shows. when we left he asked me if it was normal for a band to sound better live? it was very cool to see them play british steel. the rage and steeler where my second favorite moment. the first was when rob pointed to the banner and explained how the union jack and the stars and stripes blend together on the banner....united in peace united in war, he then gave our deployed troops a shout out. i came home from iraq in february, that message meant alot to me coming from my favorite singer. it wasn't a political statement, just a statement of support, i thought it rocked.

This is the first time I've posted here, so still trying to get used to how things work on this site. I've been a Priest fan since '75 & first concert was '82. I thought the Tampa show was amazing. They sounded good in Vegas last year, but this show just blew me away. Diamonds & Rust was the only song I don't think Rob gave 110% vocally. Victim of Changes & The Rage are 2 songs I really wanted to hear & both were spot on. Not trying to be mean, but it is so hot & humid in Tampa. I certainly wouldn't have a lot of energy dressed like they do - I would probably have a heat stroke wearing that heavy material & being under those hot lights. They still rock it harder than most people half their age! [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by tshoffie from Sunday, August 16, 2009 11:16:39 PM)

! I feel exactly the same way! I feel fortunate to be able to see them still kicking ass after all these years. I am taking in every single second that I can and treasuring every moment. They are one of a kind and no other band will ever take their place in my heart.
No hate just confused. Thanks for being so open with your opinion. I'd rather have people sharing honestly than trying to conceal messages with hidden agendas. My experience has been a great one, never being dissatisfied with anything Judas Priest has done. I guess it's because once I became a fan (in 1980) I have always accepted them as my favorite metal band and, therefore, left my expectations at the realistic level. Priest has never let me down and I have always felt "privileged" to get to see them...then and now. I'm almost 50 years old, am younger than they are and can't imagine trying to tour at my age. My hat is off to them and the countless other bands that perform so intensely as Priest. I appreciate their fortitude and desire to continue to bring the best heavy metal in the world to the best fans in the universe. Just my opinion!

Don't think it has been posted here yet but I am SO glad that Glenn hasn't broken up Victim on this tour with his solo.
There were comments before on how it "slowed up" the set during Metal Masters. I am glad to have seen them both but prefer the current rendition. The echo effects are just frosting on the cake. Outstanding!

Priest has opened up with the same song on this tour. Rapid Fire. They are doing the whole British Steel album. After they have completed the whole album they play (not in any particular order) Diamonds and Rust, Ripper, Victim Of Changes, Hellpatrol, Another Thing Coming and Prophecy. I'm probably leaving a song or to out.

Less than twelve hours to go!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am READY!!! Always great to have the mighty Priest back here in Vegas!! First time I will see them at this particular venue. Kind of odd as it is a bigger set up than usual for them. I did take a peek on StubHub and ALL the floor seats are gone. In fact, there were about twenty seats left period! I find it hard to believe that the place is sold out though. It is likely that the hotels bought up a load of seats to use as give-aways.
I will be looking for Bundas (Joe) and if the new guy "Jeff Fawcett" reads this, I sent you a PM!!!! Would LOVE to meet another fan and Board member while there!!! We are on the floor so let me know where you and the Mrs are sitting!!!!!!!!!
As for last year's "Meet-Up" group. Let's make SURE we do it again NEXT tour??!?!?!?!?!

I went to the JP concert in Paso Robles on July 29th. It had been 23 years since I had seen them in Fresno, CA. The Turbo tour. /Anywho, what a great show! I had no voice after it was over and I was in awe...once again. Never has Priest let me down. Always the best shows I have ever seen! Does anyone remember the entire set they played for that show. I know they started with Rapid Fire and I think the second song was Metal Gods. I'm not sure and my short term memory is going bye-bye. Too much partying back in the day! :-)

They were REALLY loud and I couldn't understand a word they were singing....not that I cared that much. Seems like they really cranked up the bass in order to make it "more metal" to fit in with Priest because the stuff I heard on the radio did not sound this way. I didn't like them, but to each his own.

We saw Popevil in Cincinnati because I was afraid someone would get our front row seats. Let's just put it this way - they are not my style. I swear the bass player was trying to be Captain Jack Sparrow or some other pirate. Sorry dude, Johnny Depp is the only one that can pull that off!! They were REALLY loud and I couldn't understand a word they were singing....not that I cared that much. Seems like they really cranked up the bass in order to make it "more metal" to fit in with Priest because the stuff I heard on the radio did not sound this way. I didn't like them, but to each his own. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by ronhartsell from Saturday, July 25, 2009 8:16:43 AM)

Morning Freeze...lol, no, I don't have a shrine, but I do have this box that I keep little odds and ends I've picked up from here and there...one day when I'm gone, my daughter or even grandchildren could one day go through it and imagine the things I've done or where I've been or even ask "what did he have to do to get this??"
Guido...my bad!!! Couldn't think of the name of the place nor did I have the ambition to look it up...but the token is cool as well as the room key card, a big fluffy towel as well as a few other little trophey's...lol I was too thrilled about the ppl mover either as it's elevated (never mind I was staying on the 43rd floor and had the river and Canada skyline for a wonderful view), but it took me to within a couple of blocks of the ball park and anywhere else I wanted to go [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Deep Freeze from Saturday, July 25, 2009 7:59:23 AM)

on the 22nd in nashville, i went to the show and saw some merchandise i wanted but didn't have the money. does anyone know if there's a way i can actually buy some of this off of the internet when i get some money which will be sometime soon?

We just got back from the Cincinnati show. I'm still bouncing off the walls. Priest was ON FIRE! I haven't seen Rob dance, shadow box, or play around like this since I saw them back in '86 on the Turbo tour!! He was definitely FEELING it! It was so awesome to watch them all enjoying it so much. They have so much more left in the tank, they are definitely not done yet. We had front row center tickets and got some really great pictures! I finally got them all loaded onto my Facebook page. Please check them out, here is the link: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=3602&id=1715045397&l=7d3435f8ea

I saw the cincinnati show last night and loved the setlist. This was my fifth time seeing priest and I loved the show but it was by far the shortest one that and the most expensive one i've been too. The first show I saw was screaming for vengence with maiden for the opener. I think the best tours were defenders and angel of retribution.

HEY THERE!!!!! Getting ready to head out to the doctor but thought I would stop in to say, MY TICKETS ARE HERE!!!!!! WOOOOOO HOOOOO!!!! Floor seats, ninth row! Just as ordered! Pretty excited right now! Still a LOAD of seats left for the Vegas show but that is really not surprising. Vegas just does not draw like a Detroit does. I saw that there are no seats available for the Cincy show tonight and none left for the Nashville show tomorrow!!?!!?!?!?!! WOW!!!! Of course, that IS the StubHub site. There may very well be seats left but not on that particular site!!!
Hey War Eagle, FRONT row, huh??? SWEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SURE you wll have a great time! My step son's first Metal gig so we are pretty jazzed that the tickets are here and the seats are close! Still about three week away but you all know how that excitement builds!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The kid is absolutely freaking! He is actually downloading some songs off the Forged Steel AND Raw Steel albums as we speak!! HAAAAAAHAHAHAHAA!!! I am a ROCKSTAR,...AGAIN!!

To the Metal Gods:
I have been a loyal and devoted fan since I was 10 years old and have seen every tour since 1980 here in Michigan and other venues and they have all been outstanding shows, I have seen the British Steel tour in Toronto, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago and I am going to Cincinatti tomorrow night, I drive to the shows and then drive home all night and then go straight to work in the morning.
I was in absolute awe when I saw the first show of this amazing tour in Toronto, I literally had shivers down my spine throughout the entire show and tears of joy in my eyes with your current setlist, never in a million years did I think I would see a show with a dream setlist like that.
This is by far the most incredable tour I have ever seen in my life, I have been to literally thousands of shows in my life and no other band can even come close to what you are achieving on this tour, you are rock solid, tighter than hell and giving it 110% percent every night, Mr. Halford voice is capable of hitting notes that no other mere mortal can come close to, my God my knees get weak when that man sings, K.K., Glen your are shredding those axes in a manner unlike I have ever seen before, Ian, Scott, flawless and amazing.
This is my dream tour with the single best setlist I have ever seen from any band, Priest are my Idols and this set list just keeps me coming back for more, until my bank account runs dry.
Cincinatti show sitting in Pit L row F seat 16 and it would be my dream come true to meet my favorite band and thank them for delivering the best tour and set list that ever seen in my life and I know it can never be equalled by any other band.
Other bands take heed on what is being delivered on stage by the Mighty Priest as every other band in the world are simply mortal compared to the Metal Gods that be the Priest.
Thank you again for this tour and the perfect set list as you have made me and all of your loyal fans happier than words can ever express, I pray you will be releasing a DVD of this tour.
From the bottom of my heart thank you for doing this tour as it has been the best concert experience of my life.
I'm still speechless from the experience of seeing British Steel in it's entirety, unbelievable.

Thank you my friend! The weather in Detroit was spectacular!! Warm and sunny. Enjoyed every minute of it and the concert was phenomenal!!! I mean, seriously! SO many people! I think that Detroit should be proud of how they "represent" at a Priest gig! It was amazing!! And our dear guido got us awesome seats in the fourth row!!! I just cannot thank him enough!
As I mentioned, we have ninth row for the Vegas show. First time for the young Prince so I think that is certainly close enough. I did not want him to be too far back for this show, as it is his "initiation"...!!! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is very excited. I am confident he will have the time of his life! He starts high school this year so I think he will have something to talk about when he gets there.....
DEEP FREEZE ! You are a lucky man to see them in Detroit and in LV. You're gonna be close too! Hope you had a good time back East we had some cool weather when you were here.

Hi everybody!
New in here, and from sweden, if I spell funny, please don´t yell at me :D
Can you tell me if they coming to Europe and Swe, can´t miss this, my eyes are bleeding already when I saw youtube, songs like Steeler, The Rage, Rapid Fire......
Have seen them since they played here in -86 (every time), but this concept must be the best ever!! British Steel album right off, outstanding + more classics.
I´ve seen the playlist:
Rapid Fire
Metal Gods
Breaking the Law
Grinder
United
You Don't Have to be Old to be Wise
Living After Midnight
The Rage
Steeler
The Ripper
Prophecy
Hell Patrol
Victim of Changes
---
Freewheel Burning
Diamonds and Rust
You've Got Another Thing Coming
I would like them to change 3 songs, Prophecy, Hell Patrol and You've Got Another Thing Comin, its great songs, but I think I would like the feeling if they add songs from Killing Machine, like: Running Wild, Hellbent For Leather and Delivering The Goods !
And to close the concert: Exciter, Heading Out To The Highway and The Sentinel.
And many many more songs......they can play the whole night if they want to :D
Hope you will come to SWE !!

I posted some pictures on this thread yesterday, but they are far down on the list by now, starting at page 6 or so. We girls got a bit excited by some of my pictures last night, hehehe. I also posted all the pictures from the Cleveland show on my Facebook page. Here is the link: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=3420&id=1715045397&l=1f6654b0d8
We won the front row auction tickets the venue had on sale for Cincinnati, so we are hoping to get some more really good shots on the 21st!!(Quoting Message by Rebel 06 from Friday, July 17, 2009 10:39:38 AM)

Hello, everyone. I've been on vacation and have not had a chance to visit here. Just wanted to say the concert in Cleveland was awesome and I was impressed with Whitesnake. I was wearing my Hellbent for Leather shirt and my wife was wearing a BS shirt. We were about 25 rows back in the middle. Here is a camera phone shot.

Anybody in here going to the San Antonio show next Saturday? We are driving from Oklahoma City and would like to meet up some of our fellow Priest fans before the show. Maybe we could drink a few beers before the show. I've been a Priest fan for over 32 years and have to drive to Texas all the time to see them (which I don't mind). Last year was the 1st time they were in OKC since the Turbo tour. We will also be going to the show in Grand Prairie. Hope to see some of you down there. Edited at: Sunday, July 19, 2009 11:01:32 AM

Thanks, guys!!! I have never used StubHub so I am a bit wary but I will know in a couple days when they are delivered. I can only go by what the "comments" say and they say ninth row, Floor two or three..whatever is in front of Glenn. In any event, it will be his first Metal show so I think I am FAR more excited than he will be when he finds out!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ditto to you both! The pleasure was all mine!! (and I still want that necklace HRMG!). All y'all ROCK!!
OMG Freeze, I'm getting teary eyed over here! We felt exactly the same way about you and Guido! Priest fans are in a class all our own. It was an honor and pleasure meeting you both as well!
