Well Charlie Watts is anything but in the top 10 drummer's list....unless we are talking about the oldest drummer perhaps? Charlie Watts is the most basic wood chopping drummer there is,but he is an icon of longevity. Oh I'm not a big fan of his voice either haha, don't worry about that.
But Mickey Dee is a phenominal drummer. Not just fast and good at double bass, he's technical as shit. Not so much nowdays because he's with Motorohead, but with King Diamond he was. Dave Holland was a very good solid drummer for Priest during their prime years. I liked the sound of his drums, his playing and he did just enough without overpowering everything else.
And J.d. Dianomd, it just come down to a matter of opinion about Dave Holland and Ian Hill. You say Ian Hill is good but not top ten worthy or as good as Steve Harris. Thats your opinion and I respect that but I'm sure some people will disagree.

Now look at that...and I just got your back with Shitallica! LOL!!!! You gonna try to convince me that Maiden is good again too?
Give me you address and I'll send you along that King Diamond promo cover that I have. HAAAAAA!!!!!! Don't own a single album but can't manage to throw it away. It can be your Xmas present!
Of course, I'll expect a pair of Dockers in return. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by J.D. DIAMOND from Thursday, October 22, 2009 3:00:47 PM) | | J.D. DIAMOND wrote: | |

I'll keep Dave Holland on my list. | | Bazooka Joe wrote: | | Listen to the songs DRUMMING though.

Mickey Dee or Dave Holland. Dave didn't even drum with his wrists. He drummed with his arms. HUGE mistake as a drummer. Basically the best drum fill he could DO was at the first of Riding on the Wind.
We all know Ram It Down was like 80% drum machine. So don't even SAY he did Hard As Iron haha. | | Skybreaker wrote: | | Dave Holland was a very good drummer. Excellent on British Steel and SFV. I don't think those tracks were good because of Holland Skybreaker, not to anger you,but Dave Holland was really not that technical of a drummer. If we were to talk about the best Bass guitarists the top 10....Ian Hill would not be listed, not because Ian is not good because obviously he is good, but not anything near Steve Harris,or Cliff Burton....same thing goes with Dave Holland, you may like his drumming, but its not rocket science. Back to Ian....I love his simpicity in his pounding bass riffs, yes they are simple, but I love them!! But he is nowhere near a top 10 Bass players pole.
