Ok this is EPIC! I just got the Into the Pit set AND War of Words for my birthday! I really am blessed with great friends! I do however feel sorry for my car speakers... Going to work today was way fun for a change!
[guardian angel] Tuesday, May 10, 2011 9:45:05 PM
Thanks for the suggestions, I think I'll try War of Words first. I have everything Priest and Halford have made, including 2wo, and no Fight. Go figure. I did download Fight's Christmas Ride off the Halford site. That is my FAVORITE xmas tune! His vocals sound faded into the background though, but still an INCREDIBLE song! Thanks, I can't wait to...

WAR OF WORDS is a must for any metal fan. BUY IT NOW AND THEN BUY EVERYONE YOU KNOW A COPY!
you could just get the Into the Pit box set.......
Halford played an awesome live show when they were here last November! I would have loved to have heard Till The Day I Die live, since it's the most amazing song I've heard in a very long time. Regarding Rob, can anyone suggest a good first Fight cd? I've only heard a couple of songs, and love Just A Little Crazy, but I'd like to buy a cd and am not sure which one to go with first. Any suggestions?

Hi Guardian Angel! Well, I'm completely hooked on War of Words! Into the Pit, Nailed to the Gun, Life in Black, Immortal Sin, For All Eternity, Little Crazy are my favorite tracks - I LOVE them! I really like the entire CD. I think you'll like that one too.

Made of Metal is another great album by Rob. Upon first listen I felt it was more like Priest than his previous post-Priest material. All the tracks, save for The Mower were pretty much straightforward rock tunes. The Mower is the heaviest track that sounds like it came from the Crucible sessions.
But the album has grown on me, so I love every track anyway. I wasn't too surprised of the lineup change. That probably had something do with why it stands out from his other Halford albums.

They came out and spotted us right away, pointed and smiled. They kicked ass last night. We have some incredible pictures from last night that I will post later once I get them all uploaded!

That's a great story! The only way it would have been better would have been to go with the banner when it was signed. Sounds like the two of you have had some serious enjoyment the past few days. Did you send a vial back with the banner to request a sweat donnation?? [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS from Wednesday, December 08, 2010 2:31:28 PM)

I was ready but according the yesterday new, non new album, only farewell tour!!!!
Many artists said good bye to the stage to start again, but this time, considering the age of the fab5 I'm not so optimistic.
Do you have any good new for the album. Is Epitaph the title of it or only the name of the tour ? [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by hellrider 31038 from Tuesday, November 09, 2010 6:17:14 PM)

My Friend and I drove down from NH to see Halford at the Crocodile Rock. He sounded incredible and his band just kicks ass! Roy Z unbelievable! We really didn't want to spend the money to see Ozzy and only hear Halford play a short set. This was well worth the trip and way cheeper (even with traveling). Great crowd too and the band loved it because they knew everyone there were true Halford fans! Stage was way too small. Felt sorry for them but they worked it out! I nearly went to the show in baltimore with Ozzy, but i am so glad i decided on the headlining show in Allentown. The band was great and of course Halford was the Metal God as always. The crowd was large and loud! My voice is just now recovering from all the yelling. I took two friends who had never seen Rob perform live but are huge priest fans and they were just blown away. The best part was being in a smaller club type venue we could get really close to the stage. This is a must see show! Now i'm even more anxious for the next priest album!

Last night I saw Halford opening for Ozzy! What a great concert!! Rob was in fine form, and played Made of Metal, Fire & Ice and Like There's No Tomorrow from the new cd. He also sang Green Manalishi, Diamonds and Rust and Jawbreaker, which are all awesome! It was so nice to see that band play, especially since Priest are on hiatus. Ozzy was his usual crazy self and sprayed foam on the audience whatever chance he could. All in all, a great show, and I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE PRIEST HERE!!! \m/ \m/ Thanks Rob for a great show!

I mean Angel Of Retribution was a heavy metal record and a damn good one at that because 99% of members here say so...the 1% that doesn't is only one member "hellrider" and yes,he is entitled to his opinion, but 99% of fans in this forum love the album besides the last track "Lochness"...and then after that album......where did it all go? Nostradamus....then Winter Songs....then Made Of Metal......all 3 are backed up by fans that claim Priest is just experimenting...oh Rob is just getting things off his chest that he can't do in Priest....blah blah blah....ITS BEEN ALMOST 6 FUCKING YEARS SINCE WE ALL GOT SOME REAL "METAL" GUYS"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[GLORIAROMANA S.-THE QUEEN OF METAL GOD-ROB HALFORD] Tuesday, October 26, 2010 6:46:15 AM
FOR
ROB HALFORD
THE METAL GOD
AND
FOR ALL ROB HALFORD’S FANS WHICH DIDN'T RED THIS IN THE OTHER TOPIC ABOUT THIS ALBUM AND SORRY TO THE PEOPLES WHO ALREADY RED THIS MESSAGE IN THE OTHER TOPIC ABOUT THIS ALBUM…
This is the first time when I ordered some from Amazon, this last album of Halford band, named Made of Metal, which was practically a gift from my friend Gianny Painkiller,to wish I want to thanks him for the gift.I ordered the album on 25 september and they estimated to send me the item between 8 and 18 october, but I was surprised to receive this so early on 6 october,so I want to thanks to Amazon for their promptitude, and finally i listened the album and I realised that Rob does not stop amaze me since his first album untill now,at that Made Of Metal, from which my favorite song is Till The Day I Die,a song totally out of what Rob Halford done in all his songs in Halford,Fight and Judas Priest, and for that thanks you Rob,but also look below over my comments about my top favorite songs from the album.
1.UNTIL THE DAY I DIE.
This song is totally out of what Rob Halford done until now in all his Halford band songs, the song is in the country genre, the song is in minor range, the song respect the classic music scheme from the book of music composition and theory, meaning that the song started with an intro, in that case is an acoustic intro, an intro with a guitar but what guitar…a guitar with a western sound on the background sound of the slowly drums and with Rob ‘s voice wishpering the verse and the chorus until the song comes more and more intensified untill when Rob scream and just then practically started the song with full western guitars and full drums rhythm, and comes the verse 1,so simple but beautiful, then the chorus, so simple but in so touching achords, then verse 2, then chorus again, then middle part with guitars parts, and finally re-coming the intro with the acoustic estern guitars on the background of the slowly drums and Rob whispering, the verse 1 again, also the lyric song are such spiritual,is speak about how short is life and about the fact that is no time for all in this life, cause one day we will go to other lifes, so we need to live alive every day till the day we die. The song sounds to me in the Fight band style, a other kind of Just A Little Crazy song.
2.25 YEARS.
This song is a hard rock ballad , the song is in minor range again, the song respect the classic music scheme of songs, the song starts with an intro acoustic guitar, then comes the verse 1,so touching ,and then the chorus, so sights, then comes a little part of western guitars, and then the verse 2,then chorus again, then the middle part with a combinations of electric and acoustic guitars singing in duet ,and then a part from verses and again the chorus, and again the electric guitars solos in duet with Rob’s chorus together, and finally the song finished with Rob’s single voice, the lyric is thouching too, speaks about the date of 6 january 2011,when practically will be 25 years since Rob Halford became a spiritual man. Everyone has different tastes, even in the world of JP fans lol. I don't like some of the lyrics on the album, Made of Metal is silly to me, but I like the music on that song lol. Rob is just getting out there with stuff he wouldn't do in Priest, that's all. I think this album especially shows how the song writing trio of Halford/Tipton/Downing is unbeatable [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by J.D. I agree with the others that bash the LP,its very watered down and the lyrics......"the lyrics" oh man....between the mucis and the lyrics what blows me away is how hellrider or anybody else for that matter can say they like Made Of Metal far better than Angel Of Retribution....I mean the lyrics on AOR 100% totally destroys Made Of Metal let alone the music. Rob already has enough money to soar him through the rest of his life,he doesn't need my extra 15 bucks as "I need it"!!!!
Boy the album got about 70% of bad reviews on Amazon.com however there are 30% that give the album A+ even the GloriaromanaS.Queen Of Metal who posts in here has the album pretty much at an A+. I grade Made Of Metal a D minus.

Yes, Becks. Opinions are like assholes, and no living, breathing human being exists without one.
However, some assholes tend to "fart" constantly, always adding to the stink in the room, making that particular smell the best way to confirm their identity. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Becks from Wednesday, October 20, 2010 11:10:06 AM)
