I like the stuff that they've been streaming I can't wait to hear the album, it sounds like Richie has added some spark to the mix and the sound is more raw than priest has sounded in a long time hope they come through ohio a couple of times

The entire Point of Entry album is wonderful metal masterpiece.
you say yes is magic.

Even though to me Turning Circles is "cool"...
it still kicks ass because of how simple, cool and feeling it harnesses.... I feel the same way about Desert Plains,Pain And Pleasure,Some Heads Are Gonna Roll and Come And Get It....another average song that to me kicks ass, maybe not the album Ram it Diwn but that add ong does and means something to me as well.

I instantly like this new track that really fits in with these other tracks I mentioned. One man's junk is another man's treasure.

Lol, thanks Becks I know what you mean ha. Yeah,I love JP man, when I bash the band its half bull shit.
This band has been #1 for me since 1981.

The track is "cool" like you said,to me it doesn't have to be Freewheel Burning every track. Priest has loads of mediocre tracks that are still "cool" .......Turning Circles the 4th track side one of Point Of Entry is an average mediocre track, some would say "boring"....but this track means alot to me,and its unmistakably Judas Priest.

I guess most fans of the band are fans of the heavier, faster tracks which I also love, but I supose being into black metal, death metal since 1983 I guess I look to that genre to get the heavier stuff for a metal fix ect....

It sure is a cool track, to be honest I am glad to see you like it too JD, as you are the most critical of us all haha. I mean that in a good way of course.

First time I've been on here in forever. I just downloaded the new track and thought it was okay. Sounds like a typical JP sounding tune and I'm sure it'll grow on me. In the words of today's youth, "Meh".

It isn't going to get "any better than this" so don't buy the album. ( lol )

You will never get a second chance to make a first impression.
My first impression of this track is regrettably  a "yawn". It sounds very rhythmically similar to Hell Patrol without the screeming vocals, which it badly needs to elevate the song from ok to awesome. I'm a life time JP fan but if this is the best the new album has to offer then I won't spend the money; if it's not the best, then I scratch my head and ask why didn't they release a more screeming, blistering, agressive track that would really light the fire of anticipation for their die hard fans as well as boost initial sales.
I hope for better tracks but I'm not holding my breath. Edited at: Tuesday, April 29, 2014 7:30:11 AM Edited at: Tuesday, April 29, 2014 7:31:33 AM Edited at: Tuesday, April 29, 2014 7:33:43 AM

The Priest is BACK! What I like about the new track is that it's much heavier than "Revolution" when it came out...and a much better song than Revolution too imo..although Revolution and AOR was supposed to be recorded the way it was...
.this is much more stripped down and not over produced like Nostradamus intentionally was done.

Everybody wanted the song Painkiller,or Electric Eye,Freewheel, for a first listen, thats cool but Priest usually never plays the top quality track right off the bat.

Not sure why people that dont care for it are listening to it over and over ....I guess music grows on people....never has worked for myself...with first listen I either like it or I don't...but again goody too shoes for me...I guess I'm aware that many people require multiple listens before they know if they like something.

Hail to "Richie Faulkner" .....without him, this lp would of definately never even happened.

Hail Redeemer Of Souls,Hail Richie Faulkner and Hail Judas Priest!!!

OK. Have now bought the single on itunes and had 2 more listens, it has grown on me a bit. Couple of nice solos in there, i'm always listening for Rob to do something a bit different, so maybe thats my initial disapointment. Cover art is good and apparently theres 18 tracks on the album, a lot to look forward to ! Hate myself for always overplaying the first song released to death cos then when you listen to the album that one song always seems to stick out. ! I will attempt to restrain myself until July !
Cheers.

On first listen it sounds like an outtake from the Nostradamus sessions. Even my wife who loves that album thought it was ho-hum. It may grow on me, but it has none of the
heavyness that Revolution had as a taster for AOR, and certainly not the majesty and ferocity that Nostradamus had when it came out as the teaser track for that album.
A generic sounding track and title , and given the bands history of killer title tracks, seems fairly weak.
Hoping it was just a poor choice [ maybe by the label and not the band ] and that subsequent songs redeem the wait ! Not as strong as anything off "Made of Metal ".
This is my favourite band and I can't wait to hear and buy the album but  fingers crossed this is the weakest song on there.

I like it, I was looking for something heavier & faster though.

I like it. The guitars sound super cool. Not a great deal of Rob. Definitely heavy metal. Sounds like Faulkner overdrives his amp pretty good with the overtones.
