Many fans complain that what we are seeing live is NOT Judas Priest but a lessee version of it and I suppose it's hard to argue that..But....Rob is NOT using backing tracks and it's all played LIVE so with Glenn still in the band writing studio material to me it's still Judas Priest in the studio but live is a tribute to the band what's wrong with That? Yes Iron Maiden have thier core members together and show it ...but you have to give Judas Priest credit for being relevant without KK and now without Glenn ...only the real true Judas Priest fans will understand this

OMG!! BEST ... IDEA... EVER!!! Tour with George Lynch?!? Dayum. I'd be there in a hot MINUTE!
Like others, the idea of touring as a 4 piece just smacks with...ah...dayum. Even if Halford got back together with....oh, I dunno...HALFORD (first band lineup) it would be better. Invite the other guys along! Hell, invite Metal Mike to just join THEM!
However, George Lynch? Fucking AWESOME! Sounds like he and Richie would even have fun! You gotta believe they jam together at family get-togethers and such. Hell, much better than seeing George doing this masterpiece of a tune with the hot mess that are the Don Dokken vocals now....

Rob and Glenn THANK YOU for listening to your fans and bringing out Andy as a 5 piece heavy metal band even if the studio album takes longer we fans are absolutely thrilled you have reconsidered and listened to us.

Guys I totally agree Judas Priest touring as a 4 piece and claiming it to be even more powerful. Rob - Glenn if you read this please reconsider because tickets are not going to sell as much because nobody wants to hear the band with one guitarist even if it was a flawless Glenn this band needs a second guitarist please call George Lynch because we know you’ve thought of it. Listen to Pete from Sea Of Tranquility he is pissed lots of fans are GET A SECOND GUITAR PLAYER Geroge Lynch!!!

I'm still in shock, personally. HOW CAN THEY DO THIS?!?!?
@guido agreed man may Richie have a full recovery. Fuck 2021. KK's Priest was the most cheesy embarrassing low quality song writing album of 2021 BY FAR while Iron Maiden's Senjutsu and Cauldron Born's Legacy Of Atlantean Kings win best albums of 2021 BY FAR.
[guidogodoy] Wednesday, December 29, 2021 4:26:43 PM
Postponed...postponed... sigh. Here's hoping for a better 2022 in terms of concerts.
Man o man. I still shudder to think of Richie. CANNOT (and refuse) to watch him doing that "flawless Painkiller" while suffering a catastropic and near fatal health problem. As he said in interviews... stars were alligned. Right place, close to a friggin' excellent heart center, not one song longer. Boggles the mind.
Hey guys ... yeah KKs Priest is .... (smh) it just SPANKS of poor quality songs, lyrics and an average vocalist in Owens.... it's like Owens is the RC Cola ... or in the 70s "Shasta Cola" . It's just lame. It'll do if you can't find a real brand soda. Ya know? Not to mention as much as I like Glenn and KK from 96' ...what in the F did they see in Owens,Glenn is more to blame!
The album spanks of garbage it's lyrics are painful and KK has no idea HOW to recycle ideas the proper way because they all do it it's a part of music but if it's done right it works and whatever he thinks is quality it's RC Cola! You can see he has some cool ideas but obviously when he creates it all or mostly himself it's stuck half way in the window with a Shasta! lol
I can see if some don't like the Iron Maiden Senjutsu album because it's not thier old school sound but man I think it's awesome...still don't care for The length of the opening title track but man the whole thing is excellent in my book still think it's 6th in rankings.
I hope Richie gets well soon that was scary and it gives me anxiety thinking about it so get well Mr.Falcon🤘 Edited at: Wednesday, October 13, 2021 8:11:07 PM

@guido,vail,spa,head banger,acolyte....Iron Maiden's Senjutsu is absolutely awesome. I've listened to it 5 times in it's entirety and as I've said before in my opinion the first 5 studio albums are unmatchable untouchable masterpieces and starting with Somewhere in Time 86' till now is the band's progressive side ... this album 100% DEFINITELY is their best album since Powerslave!
Track #1 "Senjutsu " is as I said before too long in my opinion although Harris looks at it as an intro sort of...in fact it throws the listener off ... it distracted my first listen of the rest of the album and left me wondering why the length of it that I couldn't soak up the entire rest of the album even though I was listening to it so again, Senjutsu is good though and Nico McBrain his drums on the album the sound and styles reminds me of Piece of Mind.
1. Senjutsu 2. Stratego 3. The Writing On The Wall 4. Lost In A Lost World 5. Days Of Future Past 6. The Time Machine 7. Darkest Hour 8. Death Of The Celts 9. The Parchment 10. Hell On Earth
Every single track on this fffffiiiiing album is quality Iron Maiden and the band's 6th best album but god dam great record ....Definitely take my post think about it and listen to the entire album ...
Some tracks are long but they all work this time very very well, and the chorus on all tracks kick butt memorable this album is a masterpiece for sure .. the only extra repetitive structure in the album could be The Parchment but it gives the listener and guitarists and people who love Iron Maiden's guitarists a killer jam session of solos by all 3 and its awesome so this is not a complaint from me whatsoever... yes this album is fucking awesome ...I like all tracks here but my favorite song on the album is track #4 Lost In A Lost World man what a killer song! 🤘

I listened to the album again and read a few articles about it prior and Harris wanted an intro as an epic track to open the album...ok ...but why the F does it have to be an 8 minute epic track ? 3 minutes would be reasonable...but 8? That's the issue I have...the ONLY fffffiiiiing issue!
Guys this fffffiiiiing album is great it's thier most progressive yet so it's basically Iron Maiden's "Nostrdamous " but FAR BETTER imo .... the opener makes sense at 2 minutes but again, that's my only complaint because the rest of the ENTIRE ALBUM IS EXCELLENT!!..It's not better than Firepower of course not but it would be exactly like Firepower opening up track #1 with "Sea Of Red"....?? I like Sea Of Ted but NOT as an opener...it's about placement so I just don't like the length of the opener but damn what a GREAT album ....
They can't go backwards to early 80s but they are pushing forward with progressive, fine.... but this album would of been flawless if the title opener would of been 2 minutes... so man what a great album just not a smart move by Harris imo .... but this album nonetheless IS thier best album since Powerslave and it's even got it's OWN style away from every other album.
[J.D. DIAMOND] Thursday, September 2, 2021 9:49:35 PM
Ok I have heard the entire new Iron Maiden album Senjutsu and it's unfortunate for me that it's just "ok" and what ruins this album for me is the very first track #1 "Senjutsu " the title track is a slow tempo boring chorus track that could of been ok for a next to last track but an 8 minute opener that's slow and the chorus isn't bad but it isn't spectacular either and its just b side material really...
A track as the opener a skip because it lacks energy and does not match up with any other opener on an Iron Maiden album in fact this is definitely the worst opening song on a Maiden album with exception to the 2 Blaze albums.
The other tracks are mmm ok 👌 for progressive Iron Maiden but imo this doesn't beat Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son or Brave New World. It's a let down because of that first track for me. If they would of just left it off and started it with Stretego it could of saved it ... not sure why they didn't go with a faster track.
[J.D. DIAMOND] Thursday, August 5, 2021 2:45:44 PM
We really do hear things in different perspectives like fans of Nostrdamous...I only wish I liked it because of it's epic structure but for unexplained reasons I just can't capture it's offerings.
I've been arguing with a knuckle head online about Guardians/Rising From Ruins off Firepower.. in my opinion it is in the top 10 best Judas Priest songs ever written but this individual HATES it and calls it weak... this new Iron Maiden track (The Writing On The Wall) is actually so close to Guardians/Rising From Ruins musically you can play them at the same time and they sound almost in time with one another...
In my book if Rising From Ruins is that bad and weak then so is every Priest song that's not in the vien of Painkiller. And for the Maiden track it sounds to me like it could of easily been released in 1989 right after Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son and just before No Prayer For The Dying 1990. Especially the tone and video if some remember the video for Can I Play With Madness.
I surely will spill the truth if Senjutsu turns out lame but idk I have a funny feeling this album will have something special to offer ... @ guido ...I would skip this album altogether Especially if you don't like the new track because not in a million years it will touch the tip of the first 5 albums. But for me yeah it's the best track since 2 Minutes To Midnight...I've been listening to this track every day for the last week. September 3rd will give it a listen
[J.D. DIAMOND] Sunday, July 25, 2021 11:19:02 AM
@guido lol ! Well to me there are 2 different versions of the band.... the one from 1980s Iron Maiden to 1984s Powerslave & 1985s Live After Death live album which is the ultimate and obviously the BEST Iron Maiden era that is unmatched on the highest level.
Then there is the second version of the band going into thier progressive style and complex epic structures starting with the1986 Somewhere In Time album to 2021s Senjutsu album which will be the 12th album of progressive Iron Maiden... I haven't liked an Iron Maiden all the way through since the Powerslave album. I like songs here and there but starting with Somewhere in Time there's alwaysv 3 or 4 or 5 songs on each album I don't like.
No explanation why I like this track( The Writing On The Wall ) but this is my favorite track since 2 Minutes To Midnight and the lyrics are kick butt but I also understand why some don't like it because it isn't thier roots by any stretch. Can you see the riders on the storm, can you see them riding - riding next to you ~ a far cry from "we're brothers of the road and we rock" as obviously you are well aware of lol...
I still think KK pushed the album to October because of the Iron Maiden release on September 3rd which would of been 2 weeks after KKs release ha ha
[spapad] Saturday, July 24, 2021 4:45:31 PM
@ JD. I'll agree on IM having a fantastic string of albums in the beginning years. The first 5 plus I'll stack on Somewhere in Time as well. Those were the days. Think I'll have to give it a llsten in full when the album is released. Don't want to taint the overall experience with just one or two songs, that way I can keep my hopes up.
@ Vail and Guids. Eddie is the coolest band mascot in the history of Music! I have loved him since Killers. They should make a plush toy of him. lol
@ All. Yes, KK's Priest shows further proof of suckage. lol

"In my opinion for me?" damn, man...when ae you have "my opinion for YOU?" lol Hell, you can have my opinion any day. I don't use it much.
In my opinion for you, though. I thought that maiden song was utterly forgetable. I was even laughing about the video. Besides that WAY kewl samurai, I just didn't get it. Must be one of those "have to learn how to fly a 747 to understand" sort of things. Up there with the comix from the New Yorker.
You can have my opinion in all concerning KK's Priest, though. Not even having Binks! Yes, right there too. No announcement, nothing. Should have left off "Ripper" imo. damn..Done ANYTHING else. Sad, really.
@spa ... no not AS GOOD as Powerslave but if this album is actually flawless IN MY OPINION for ME it will be Iron Maiden's best album SINCE POWERSLAVE ... the first 5 studio albums up to Powerslave are thier best 5 in whatever order ... this COULD be thier 6th best album for me. I absolutely like The Writing On The Wall but as I said I surely don't expect anyone else to. I like the epic vibes and style to me it blows away everything I've heard since Powerslave... when Bruce sings "Riding next to you" I envision him holding his head phones ... the video is awesome.
Yeah no beating thier first 5 stuidio albums no but if the songs match this new one it'll be quality for me. KKs Priest moved the release date tfrom August to October and I'll bet it's because Iron Maiden's Senjutsu is going to be released September 3rd ,doesn't matter if the album is good or not the popularity of it will bury KK. MAN!!! Like minds! Just popped in and about to say EXACTLY the same! Just listened to it...and...gah! That vocal! The super high overdub vocal? Only made worse by the..lyrics.
Make mine a new Powerslave. No. Didn't like that new Maiden either even though the samurai WAS way cool.
The new Iron Maiden song is kinda meh, but I LOVED seeing Eddie in the samurai armor. Forkin' kickass.
Just heard the 3rd...ummm...offering from KK's Priest. Nope, don't like it at all. I had some hopes in the beginning, but then Ripper just HAD to try to sing some high notes. That + crap lyrics + virtually no guitar solo earns this song a 0/10 (IMO).
New Kks Priest song released yesterday "Brothers Of The Road" that is so lame ,instead of describing it you just got to listen to it for yourself yes it's THAT BAD. So far Judas Priest with Ritchie has only one song on studio albums I don't care for, track # 9 on Redeemer Of Souls "Metalizer " and Metalizer is even better than this pile... it's not even B - Side quality it's F.
On a completely different note, Iron Maiden has released thier track "The Writing On The Wall " and it's off thier new album called "Senjutsu" which means tactics and strategy in Japanese. I absolutely like this track but I surely don't expect anyone else to because of how half and half Iron Maiden has been for so many years I get that.
But for me I like the track since they are a progressive band no turning back for them ... I liked The Wicker Man off Brave New World in 2000 when it was released great track great opener but only half the album turned out great . And 2005s A Matter Of Life And Death I like 80% of the album but what makes me not listen to it is I hate the first track iff the album "Different World" ...that first track HAS to be good otherwise it RUINS the entire album.
This new track is placed at # 3 on the album so it's not the opener and is a great fit so far ... I have a weird gut feeling ( I COULD BE WRONG) that this album may be flawless which is a huge statement...I could be wishing too hard here BUT if every track is good on this album it would be the best Iron Maiden album since 1984s Powerslave. So my fingers are crossed. The video for The Writing On The Wall is absolutely AWESOME. There are so many hidden things in it about Eddie etc... . So yeah I'm hoping it'll be great for once.

HA! If it wasn't meant to be some semblance of Judas Priest why would he name it KK'sPriest?? I think he could have come up with a more orginal name if he wanted to divorce his band from Priest, otherwise it just screams "This is what I think Priest should be doing now".
K.K. DOWNING Says KK'S PRIEST Is 'A Continuation' Of The 'Wonderful Music' He Made With JUDAS PRIEST

@spa yeah whats the funniest is that this shit trend band he has he can't make up his mind, one day he says it's NOT his version of Judas Priest then the next day it's a continuation of Judas Priest??? Ha ha 🤣🤣🤣 and Tim Owens yeah he's just NOT the Metal God but he is terrible mimicking Rob (ewwwe how fucking anyoing!!)
..KK'S PRIEST isn't any kind of threat to the real band . Most people who like KKs Priest are trendy idiots who will like just about anything...throw Sebastián Bach in with Toni Iommi and yep the same supporters that buy KKs Priest, are easily amused and are the trendy type of dumb dumb who get "caught up on the moment" and find the album in a cardboard box in the garage 25 years from now thrown in with oil ...
Sermons Of The Sinner is an embarrassing song and an even more embarrassing video.

HA! Ya know, around here in my neck of the woods I'd be hard pressed to have a conversation about JP with anyone but my daughter and she doesn't live here anymore (all grown up).
They either listen to country, pop, or rap.
Like you say, if they have a comment it's a popular track and no depth to their knowledge. That's ok though, I like my music and they can keep the music from the shallow end of the pool.
Priest's catalog is so vast that for anyone who spends the time to listen, they will always find some music to love. Well,.... maybe not the cow shit kickers.
So I fire back at those idiots and ask them what about tracks like Take These Chains and Rock Hard Ride Free??? And they can not answer. Im sooooo sick and tired of people who know Jack shit about Judas Priest. All these idiots put " yeah man RHRF" yet none of these shit heads even LIKE the fucking song! Firepower may have SOME elements of Painkiller throughout the album but in general NO it sounds NOTHING like Painkiller to me and the album sounds closer to Screaming For Vengeance and Defenders Of The Faith then Painkiller. Fuck these stupid trendy Painkiller ONLY shit fans. Edited at: Thursday, July 1, 2021 1:18:36 PM

@spa .... I've grown TIRED of people craving for Painkiller styled Judas Priest and I'm talking about the song Painkiller... the rest of the album nobody talks about ...possibly All Guns Blazing and Metal Meltdown but the other 7 tracks nobody mentions
...it's like somehow they think all Judas Priest albums are full every track with the song Painkiller.

I absolutely agree with you J.D., 100%, Certainly not my cuppa tea; just a horrible way for KK to leave retirement.
That's life I suppose, some decisions are awesome and some turn out shit. This is the shitty decision.
@spa guido head banger the video for the title track is so dumb it is borderline embarrassing. These songs sound like a Primal Fear rip off and I hate Primal Fear. What a fucking let down for fuck's sake !
like I said ,when I first saw him announce KK's Priest it was cringe worthy to begin with BUT he had LES BINKS in the band and announced they were working on new material so I thought this MAY be interesting because Les is such a primitive Rock and heavy metal styled drummer and KK ain't going to write Scott Travis styled material with Les on drums so the material might come across like a Hell Bent For Leather style but classic original.
Then POP ....this shit comes out .... no mention of Les not even being in the fucking band at all he just releases Hellfire Thunderbolt and I'm like THAT ain't Les Binks,in fact this material sounds nothing like Les Binks would play .... HOW FUCKING LAME! Can you imagine how many Les Binks fans and old Judas Priest fans were pissed off learning all a sudden he ain't even in the band.
And no way was KK even going to have him play HELLFIRE THUNDERBOLT or any of this crap .... how lame at least KK Could of mention a year ago that Les wouldn't be a part of the album or band ....instead alls the Les Binks fans got was "well Les had an injury so he couldn't do the album "....He should of told the truth and said ..."so I decided to switch styles and go for something he'd never be able to play once his wrist IS HEALED".
And oh.... Les will make a couple appearances and play a couple old Judas Priest songs maybe. Fucking LAME with a capital L!!!!!!!!

Oh no........Not lovin' the new KKsPriest. Not at all. It's almost hurl worthy, that's not a good thing. Sermon for the Sinner? Oh for God sake get the fuck over it! Yes! Sinner is a great song! Yes you played it well!!! BUT it didn't need Ripper to write shitty lyrics to evoke Sinner and then trhow in a cheesy video! I am disapointed to say the least. I feel emptier somehow just knowing that crap is out there.

Agreed, agreed and agreed, JD. My first and only reaction was...huh.
I couldn't have summed up my thoughts any better. YOU just did! From lyics to Ripper to drummer to gah... man o man. SOOO wish he would have gone with a new band / different singer...just...gah!
@vail the drummer is a rip off of Scott and Tim is trying so hard to be Rob here... this is worse than Jugulator and Demolition. And the lyrics are utterly terrible not to mention that melody part in the middle lyrics are a rip off of the B side track left over from Redeemer Of Souls "Never Forget" just listen to it! KK failed on all cylinders here.
[Head banger] Friday, June 18, 2021 2:28:33 PM

@Head Banger.... KK .... man.... I hate Tim Owens but when KK announced the band line up with Les Binks the Entire Judas Priest fan base were expecting an album with ...drum roll please.......LES BINKS! I call total B.S. that he has a "wrist injury" bull $hit ... KK KNEW what kind of fffffiiiiing material he was going to write far before this supposed wrist injury...AS IF LES COULD REMOTELY PLAY THIS STYLE ....he simply used Binks' name to hype his over produced album.
[Head banger] Thursday, June 17, 2021 4:47:23 PM
well, yeah, tim is trying too hard to sound like rob. for sure. drums, I guess your right JD, although thats not a bad thing I suppose. the break from fast to slow is too jaring.
overall if it wasnt the kk band I might think the song is a 6/10 But I dunno, can I mark it lower because its from kkspriest? seems like I should. but thats probably not fair.

Just found the tracklist for the "Sermons of the Sinner" album. I'd bet the family farm that "Sacerdote y diablo" is an acoustic/Spanish-style guitar instrumental track.
Sermons Of The Sinner is set for release on August 20 via Explorer1 Music Group/EX1 Records. The album track listing is:
1. Incarnation
2. Hellfire Thunderbolt
3. Sermons Of The Sinner
4. Sacerdote Y Diablo
5. Raise Your Fist
6. Brothers Of The Road
7. Metal Through And Through
8. Wild And Free
9. Hail For The Priest
10. Return Of The Sentinel

@guido we'd almost be puzzled if it wasn't quality Judas Priest how their song writing skills have been with Ritchie. But like every Judas Priest record it'll sound different, somehow they do and the flavor of the new album Glenn Ritchie the lyrics from our Metal God and the album artwork...another one in the mystical being repitorie? I can't wait either.
Trying to equal or top Firepower... man that'll be freaking tough man... the title track Firepower,Necromancer,Children Of The Sun,Guardians/Rising From Ruins,Spectre,No Surrender ...hell all of the tracks are some level of kick ass I even love Sea Of Red ...
I'm sure I posted it before but anyways just to focus on Glenn's solos on the album he obviously plays all easier harmonies with Ritchie on every track.
He plays the short bend 5 seconds at the very end of Lightning Strike (lol) well he does it's unmistakable Tipton ha ha
He plays the first solo on Evil Never Dies/ the second trade off solos on Necromancer
The second solo on Children Of The Sun/ Harmony solo with Ritchie on Guardians Second solo on Rising From Ruins / second slide solo on Flamethrower/ the first solo on Sea Of Red.

Oh, I most certainly get that POV. I seriously almost cried when I heard Turbo for all the reasons you state. WHEN it was released was certainly a big part. Like you, I was really jonesin' for some just balls out heavy metal monster and...then the synth kicks in. lol. Followed by the eternally GOOFY album cover (complete with the "poked in the eye" / spectacled KK with poofy hair) of Priest Live? Fucking GREAT performance but, man... just some real goofiness there. Nostra, just like Turbo, has some excellent tunes. Wouldn't trade either for the world...NOW! lol
Listened to KK's song again after I posted last night. Ya know? Guitars are fine (yes, sounds like Nostra), drums, bass. All fine....it is the vocal and lyrics!! Gaaaah! THAT is my issue. With a better (different SOUNDING) vocalist with a better lyric writer perhaps? Dunno. Maybe this whole album will make me a "Ripper" fan.... um... no. (plus when that second guitarist pops up...I was thinking...KK's twin! lol).
Long live JUDAS Priest. Can't wait for that album!
@guido ... I think certain albums (not all) but some are not taken in all the way because of bad timing... Turbo isn't to my likings no because after Defenders I was starving for more...I think Nostrdamous was released in bad timing because we only got one album from Priest when Rob came back in Angel Of Retribution we were starving for another solid LP .
Had they released another LP in 2007 of pure metal and KK never quit .. then Nostrdamous in 2010 or 2011 would of been more understood but only to me I'm saying. I was dreading too much time between Nostrdamous and the next studio album and it turned out I was right...
listening to Nostrdamous now...is much better guido, no it's not my favorite but it isn't as BAD as I posted here in 2008 - ... and if you think about it... it kinda WAS not a good time for Nostrdamous... Rob had only been back in the band for 3 and a half years when they were working on it.
The world had just rejoiced Rob the Metal God coming back and the success of A.O.R. it just didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. As I said the same with Turbo coming off an album titled Defenders Of The Faith and then EXPLAINING to us in 1984 - 1985 that the "FAITH" means defending heavy metal and everything it stands for
...then in 1986 they do an about face 180 and Glam out with purple pink and yellow Turbo outfits and water the songs down on the Turbo album. So I think it's just a matter of timing sometimes that can hurt or help an album. It doesn't make an album better no but sometimes timing of when to release something makes it easier to digest.

Ya know, I can't say I disagree with you at all. Haven't HEARD more than this song (kinda thought the same about Les when I first heard it announced....wtf, eh? Cannot PLAY like this, as far as I could tell) but this was a mega-meh for me.
Just sent the link to a friend. I was really surprised to read how stoked people were about it on Youtube reading comments. Eh, to each their own. Me? Make mine JUDAS Priest.
(aside? You really have me chuckling here with your comment about Nostra...lol. Yeah, I remember that you didn't much care for it! HAAA!!!)
@guido ... Les Binks is not in the video and obviously not on the album and has a wrist injury ...I chose to believe otherwise I think when they started writing the album he simply does not have the CHOPS to play this style of drums ...
And he's playing on a couple classic tracks on a few selective shows or what the hell ever I don't think Downing thought this all the way through and later realized Les can't play it ha ha ha dude no way that's Les Binks on drums in the audio. Kk should of gone the opposite direction and went for a 70s style Judas Priest like Stained Class and Hell Bent For Leather style to match Les Binks' stripped down drum style.
But yeah I just don't like Tim Owens but a Stained Class Hell Bent For Leather primitive style would of came out of left field and would of been unexpected and may of made Owens voice more tolerable perhaps idk. Yeah KK is still my hero but to see him waste this on generic print out vending machine produced metal is tough to watch. Judas Priest will release something as strong as Firepower but as we know it'll be different. I just hope we like it because it's not a given they will always release something high quality like they have with Ritchie but I am hopeful.
There's more a chance the new Judas Priest will be quality than KKs crappy scrub mundane boring over produced yawn we just heard. Fucking lame. And I was bitching about Nostrdamous! KKs song makes Nostrdamous seem like Screaming For Vengeance.
I like the crappy production on Redeemer Of Souls because it wasn't intended to be but it made it DIFFERENT and retro it sounds like it could of been released in 1989 a year before Painkiller.

Wow! Great tune! Thanks for posting this, Nupe! .... I hadn't heard Nostradamus in a while! HAAAA!!!! Fucking awesome tune...when that guitar kicks in AFTER the main riff? Assume it is Glenn? That tone. Man o man.... Put a smile right on my face. THAT is Priest!!!
Now then, KK / Ripper...thing? JD said it...meh. <==in spades. What it made me want to do? Break out that identical scalloped KK KxK I have sitting in a case in my living room! HAA! SOO wish he hadn't have played it in this vid. Now I think I have to watch Steeler live just to "cleanse myself."
Nope. Don't own Jugulator. Won't own this....unless someone gives it to me for free...whereupon I'll put it on the shelf and likely never listen to it. If that... sad but true.
Man, if he would have just gone with a different singer maybe? Given UP on that Priest = ME nonsense? As I told Vail, maybe if he didn't spend all his cash on that failed golf CASTLE? Hate to have to post that here but so true... sigh.... still looking at my KK V Hamer / Phantom GT Hamer in stands right in front of me. 1984s. Yup. Def have to go back and listen to some classic Priest now. Damn, so sad...
Gave the new K. K. track a spin. Not only is it very generic, it sounds very familiar. And I figured out why: the main riff is exactly the same as that from the title track of Nostradamus. Seriously, just compare these:
Main riff starts from 15 seconds onwards.
Main riff starts from 54 seconds onwards.
If this is K. K.'s idea of making "new" music, yeah I'm going to pass on that.

@nupe... yup exactly totally agreed. Shockingly I'd take TURBO over this generic over produced dispensary machine spat out rubbish. It's worse than Nostrdamous "Hellfire Thunderbolt" is for Jugulator fans yuk. The guitars in Redeemer Of Souls and Firepower sounds like Judas Priest but the ONLY thing that sounds like Downing is the intro with his tremolo bar and that's it. This is Tim Owen's project another lame project. MEHHHHHHH!!!!

@guido your right he didn't really say anything per say to bash the band after reading it again but just shows how much I've become sick of him. lol. But saying the TRUE PRIEST is within "HIM" makes it sound like Judas Priest with Ritchie along with Rob,,Glenn,Ian,Scott on studio is NOT TRUE Judas Priest but KKs scrub generic over produced band is supposed to be?
Even half the song titles are lame. KK is still a hero of mine from my childhood but in 2021 I just can't stand him. He's also trying too hard to be heavy just like KK AND GLENN did with Jugulator Glenn was more responsible for Jugulator and it was terrible.
At least Redeemer Of Souls and Firepower Don't sound over produced and sound way more retro classic than KKs bland generic dispensary machine produced so called metal.
I'm still nervous with every Priest album... just lucky Redeemer Of Souls and Firepower turned out as good as they did,I even like the low par production of Redeemer Of Souls because it sounds like a mid 80s release and it's not perfect,it's raw. We all have opinions yes but ain't no freaking way KKs album beats Judas Priest's last 2. Nope.

Yeah, I was never a fan of Ripper. Nice that he kept Priest going and all but his stepping on board is when I stopped listening. Halford - Resurrection was just like a second coming of Christ when I first heard it. DAMN that was good....
As for KK, though? I didn't get to the "TMZ" of metal report before you posted it. I honestly don't take what he said there as full-on Priest bashing but he certainly is trying terribly hard, eh? Like any fan can't know that he WAS there from the start but, man, join the Al Atkins train on that note.
I'm curious to hear the album but am certainly not one to pre-order...or, necessarily buy it. lol
THE Priest, now...just damn icing on the cake anything we are getting after Nostra, I say... :)

And it's sickening .... this fucking idiot claims the "fans" want a "full on metal PRIEST " as if his shitty band with scrub members "K.K.'s PRIEST" is sooooo much more metal than the current Judas Priest!!..as if the current Judas Priest with Ritchie Redeemer Of Souls and Firepower are not a "full on metal" !! What a fuckin joke!!! Read this shit guys....

I wanted to try and answer some of their questions — unanswered questions maybe — and I just thought it would be good for me to leave my recollections and memoirs for future people.
When they see the videos long after I'm gone, and they hear the songs, they might be interested to know how heavy metal began. Because I was definitely there at the very, very beginning, and I feel very proud and honored to have been a part of the whole thing. And I feel very fortunate to have had the success, but even now still, I feel as though that success is still there and I'm still able to write incredible music and to play really, really well.
So I'm really looking forward to everyone experiencing [my new] band [KK'S PRIEST] and giving the fans exactly what the fans want and what the fans deserve, and that is a full-on metal PRIEST. And that's what I am. I was there in the very beginning, and it's unfortunate the way things have turned out. But it's tough to be in a relationship of 40 years or more, but I feel very confident that the true PRIEST is within me."
Back to me J.D.Diamond .... Can you fuckin believe this egotistical winning drama queen cry baby ?? Jesus H.Christ this guy hasn't STFU in years now he's been bashing the band ...K.K. ....STFU!!!

Good for you, Nupe! I second JD's comments. I genuinely admire your strength of character. TRUE Priest fan in every sense of the word.
Since everyone else knows it by now, I see no reason to to not tell it here as well (I already came out on Facebook and some of you are my friends there, so ehh). I'm keeping it brief because the Noticeboard system likes to log me out if I try to write a long post.
But yeah, early last year I finally came to a conclusion that years upon years of thinking and dreaming were a bit more than that. They were my true identity. The identity of a woman.
So yeah, I'm a transgender woman. Physical transition hasn't started yet, but I'm well along in the psychiatric evaluations so it shouldn't be long before I start that. Socially I've already transitioned (even changed my legal name) and so far everything has gone very smoothly.
That's the "big thing" I was referring to earlier. Even though things have gone well for me so far, it does take a lot of mental energy which is why I've decided to shut down The Priest's Boot for now.

Like guido said it's great seeing you post here again Nupe!
[guidogodoy] Thursday, March 4, 2021 1:31:49 PM
Thanks for taking the time to post here, Nupe. Even more? Congrats on those 10 years of sharing Priest rarities.
Been following your site for years. Both kudos and a sincere "thanks" for all your hard work. A true "Defender" in every sense of the word.
Unfortunately I have to announce that my website, The Priest's Boot, is going permanently offline at the end of this month. There are more details in the last two news posts there, but basically there are much bigger and more important things going on in my life right now and I can't spare the time and energy to migrate the website to another host, nor manage a "new" site with the attention it would deserve.
So if there's something interesting for you which you haven't downloaded yet, go grab it before it's too late. Maybe in the future I have the chance to start a new site.
Hey, it was online for a bit over 10 years, that was an achievement in itself!

@vail.... Yeah he better be! He's working his hardest ever just to put his signature sound on the new album no matter how minimal it may be... Hell what if he pours out everythingin the tank and shocks us with some killer leads while under his condition, I'll never doubt Glenn ever he is a non stop fighter! Hey guido,Vail,acoyltte... Just checking in ... Hope all is well I'll bet Glenn is in the studio frustrated as hell but determined to get his signature stamp guitar style on the new album no matter how simple it may be in comparison to early work but it's the passion for metal is what counts and he's got Ritchie shreadding out his solos to level out the album... I amazes me to say the least what a non stop fighter! Edited at: Tuesday, February 9, 2021 6:47:46 PM

@guido I'm ordering Halford's book this week I can't wait! And on another note... AC/DC has released POWER UP and let me just say OMG guys this record is AC/DC's best album since 1983's Flick Of The Switch album! It really blows away all albums after Flick Of The Switch. All 12 songs reek of mean AC/DC sweat bare knuckles and whisky like the early 80's this is the AC/DC we grew up on

REALLY?!? THAT is a good tip! I wouldn't have thought twice about the new AC/DC until reading this high endorsement. Thanks, Bro! I'll be sure to check it out ASAP.
Hope you are doing well. I have Rob's book but haven't really had time to get through much of it yet. Ah, gotta love covid.. don't you? Isn't that law? LOL

Y'alls got in yer pre-orders? Halford's new book! Live signing event! Mark yer calendars!
Oh, I agree with all 100%. More power to KK but Richie is just fantastic.
Props to Andy. Can't say I wasn't more than a "tad" let-down when Glenn couldn't make the last tour (not even a 'sighting' ... sigh) but having Andy as a producer? Then stepping in as a guitarist? HUGE shoes to fill and props to him for letting me, basically, see the others once again. Am I the only one hoping for a special "fans only - COVID show?"
Hey guido,Vail, acoyltte ... Just checkin in I keep forgetting to log in though I've been reading every month. Yeah not mentioning the chaos out there in the real world lol.
Anyway, I'm stoked that Judas Priest is in the studio working. I have a gut feeling that Glenn will play more solos even simple ones idk why.
And Firepower has been so awesome to listen to I think it's gotten better!! All 14 tracks are just fabulous,it's unreal.
I can only imagine the next album, the album cover art work and a new mystical being repertoire for us to use imagination observing it while listening to the album.
Still not interested in K.K.'s Priest. But hats off to those who will enjoy it. I'm cool with Ritchie and have been as soon as I saw enough footage to get the vibe that he is a true member of Judas Priest.
I grew up with Glenn and K.K. as heroes those guys will always be but for me Ritchie is too because he saved the band and idk what the odds are but managed to fit into the band pretty much like Dio replacing Ozzy filling K.K.'s shoes with his own style. Amazing.
