I bought "A Touch of Evil (live)" from iTunes so I never really checked out the cover. I was reading the posts below and

went to iTunes to check it out. That's a badass album cover. Back in the day (before the internet) (stop laughing young people)

album covers decided some of my purchases. Young people, stick to the internet and don't do this. You'll end up with shit you hate.

the top 3 best priest album covers in my opinion are painkiller, defenders of the faith and British steel. All very unique and original

I always liked the Point of Entry cover
It looks like something Pink Floyd might have had on their album
kind of mysterious , boxes just sitting out inthe desert and the computer tape stretching out to the horizon
an unusual cover for an unusual album

ABOUT THE COVER ALBUMS OF JUDAS PRIEST...

I think all their covers are interesting, from that first Rocka Rolla to this last Touch of Evil Live, and that because of that Mr.Mark Wilkinson which done most of their covers, which is a very talented people in paintings, design, graphic, etc, besides that two Jugulator and Demolition, about I don’t want to talk, cause in my opinion were from the mistake period of Judas Priest, even if that period gave at some fans a other face of Judas Priest, other style, albums and songs, with that Tim Own Ripper, and even of also that period born other fans for the tow new projects Fight and late Halford ,with other style, albums and songs, and with a new Rob Halford. So of my favorite covers are:
Metal Works,Angel of Retribution,Nostradamus,Touch Of Evil Live,Ram it Down,Stained Class,British Steel,Hell Bent For Leather,Painkiller,Turbo,Screaming for Vengeance,Defender of the Faith,but all are interestings.
1.Rocka Rolla is very interesting  with that cap even if t not look like their orginal idea, but the Coca Cola one,and is to know that the Judas Priest got a little argue at the first with that company into use such sigla wich looks like Coca Cola sigla.
2.Sad Wings Of Destiny is interesting with that personage, half man and half an angel.
3.Sin After Sin is interesting too with that palace of sins.
4.Stained Class is original with that profile pierced by that arrow
5.Hell Bent For Leather is original with face, that eye glases, and with that leather on had
6.Unleashed in The East is not so interesting, just with they on stage
7.British Steel is original with that hand keeping a razor
8.Point of Entry is interesting too with that road like to eternity (Us version)or with that comet running to the sky
9.Sreaming For Vengeance is original with that monster
10.Defender of The Faith is original too with that monster
11.Turbo is original too with that hand keeping the lever of a turbo car
12.Priest Live is not such interesting, with that hands of people at a show
13.Ram it Down is original too with that fist breaking the earth
14.Painkiller is original with that metal monster on that metal bike up of the town
15.Metal Works is very original with all that images albums includings in that ones.
16.Angel of Retribution is very original with that
17.Nostradamus is interesting too with the image of Nostradamus
18.Touch of Evil Live is original too with that earth on fire.

Most are great, but the worst cover has to be Point of Entry.

The cover of British Steel just because only at looking it on a records shop it told me: "Buy me", I'm very heavy. I didn't know Priest before, it was 1981 and I was starting to listen Metal since few months. At seeing BS cover it looked so fantastic. Then I listend the album and after 29 years I'm writing here, but maybe the most beautiful at all is SAD WINGS OF DESTINY. I've painted it on a black sweater and at every concert I was the best. Now it's lost. What a pity.

I like the album cover for A Touch of Evil Live. The flaming metal globe is a cool idea, although it did take me a while to figure out where Europe was. I like how the Judas Priest logo is right on top of the globe, like it's saying that the Metal Gods rule the world!!!HECK YES!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure about what the symbols are that make up the continents, but they look like parts of machinery. Who knows?

Just curious as to what others might think of the artwork on the new "Touch Of Evil Live" album. I'm most curious as to what the interior symbols represent. They look like some kind of skeletal teeth/face with a picture of "the man in the moon" in the upper lefthand corner of the globe? Let me know what you think or what it is. Lots of things to guess at with this cover. Good job, Mark Wilkinson!

all the covers are good in their own weird way... the imagery suits the album  my favourite because it is so out there is  ''stained class'' there is no album cover past or present from  any genre that stylistically or image wise even looks or  feels like this cover,... but then no album sounds like this one either ... aliens made this album... this was bent time on planet earth....ever heard a kawasaki triple  2 stroke at full bore...this was the 1970s ...............................priest was way ahead of their time.....

I love Sad Wings Of Destiny - fits perfectly to the feeling of the record.

I love Painkiller - that just kicks ass.

And I love holding my special edtion of Nostradamus - it's glorious - I always turn the pages very slowly and carefully because I want it to stay perfect and beautiful - just like the recording itself.

But in the end it is the music that counts - coming out of the speakers and hurting my ears in the most pleasant way I can think of - sending shivers down my spine.

The inside of the regular Nostradamus cd is ok, I guess. The small amount of original artwork is very good. The tons non-original artwork is well spread out throughout . I can read the lyrics just fine. I really looks cool.
Judas Priest could have done an album about Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy instead and been just as good as Nostradamus.
I believe the fans have more to thank Gustave Dore than to Mark Wilkinson.
