I love them both. Resurrection is heavier, but Crucible has some unique and great songs also. I love "She", it's an amazing song!

Nothing against Crucible, but I really enjoy Resurrection.

Resurrection was Rob's 'return to the metal fold' album, and Crucible was a much more thoughtful and intense expression of his classic metal talent. As to which one is 'best' of the two, I'd hate to choose, but if I could only have one, it would be Crucible. It's the one I loaded into my ipod.

Peace, Glen.

There is a song on Resurrection I like better than any of the songs on Crucible but I think overall, Crucible is a better album.  Heavier.  I like almost all the songs on Crucible and only some on Resurrection.

I like Resurrection. One of my favorite songs in many, many years is Silent Screams. IMHO, Resurrection was a 'safe' release. It didn't stray far from the Priest catalog. Tracks that took away from the disc included: Slow Down, Drive and especially Twist. Crucible found Halford on a mission. He managed to release songs that sounded fresh and new (not forced). Starting out with Park Manor, you could tell that Halford's plan was to open his latest offering with something he's never attempted before (a foreboding instrumental). It was the perfect transition into the title track. The ferocity of tracks such as Crucible, Handing Out Bullets and Wrath of God are much heavier and quite different than any of Halford's Priest material (and Resurrection for that matter). Yet, there were melodic pieces such as Sun and Trail of Tears that were melancholy but still managed to fit onto a dominately brutal cd (Sun doesn't get near enough of the credit it should). Golgotha, Hearts of Darkness (which I've got on one of my compilations), and Sun are superior to everything on Resurrection (on the same level as Slient Screams). Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Resurrection (Made in Hell and The One You Love To Hate [you gotta love anything Halford and Dickinson co-write ]). It's just that towards the end I tend to loose interest. With the Crucible, it appears to get better track by track. I've never heard the Japanese release (though I know it has two bonus tracks.). With that said, the American bonus track Fugitive feels like it belongs on Crucible.

Resurrection! It's a straight kick in the face album.

Resurrection it`s great, but it´s clearly beaten by Crucible, one of the best metal albums of the decade

Resurrection.  What a great album.  There were some places he started to go in Crucible that seem fully flushed out now with Nostradamus.

I really like resurrection. Funny the song I did not like too well on first listen became my favorite. Twist away, and also Slow down.
