AC/DCs lyrics have never been deep of meaningful actually-they were juvenille with Bon too.   Classic example: "Can I sit Next To You", "She's got Balls", etc.  The abiltiy to make lyrics like that sound so damn good is part of what makes the band.

And they always kept a bluesy feel-from the beginning-listen to Drity Deeds and High Voltage-most of the tracks are bluesy.  Yes they are rock-n-roll, but they are more bluesy than heavy for sure.  Only in around the time of Fly On The Wall they changed their format.-80s big drum production and all that.  Which I dont mind, loved Fly.

Ballbreaker had a few great songs on there...I love the title track for one, The Furor, Hail Ceasar.

But hey, thats why the Band made so many damn albums-we can all have our faves!

Though I must say-and I HAVE to say it-is the album "for those about to rock-we salute you" was VERY dissapointing.  I never listen to it.   Though the kids that buy the t-shirts at Target and Wal-Mart don't know that...

I bought Ballbreaker when it first came out.  I sold it 2 months later.  Hard As A Rock is the only track off the whole CD that is worth mentioning.  Stiff Upper Lip sounds like decent blues album.  But I don't want to hear a blues album from AC/DC.  I want some rock n' roll that packs a punch with decent lyrics.

I think the Album will be released only in Wal-Mart in the USA, right? So I'm happy that I'm German.

I think it really sucks that AC/DC are going to make their new album available only at the one place I avoid at all costs, Wal-Mart. >:(

I've got the Stiff Upper Lip show on DVD. It's superb! those guys pull of the show perfectly it's always fun to watch.
I sort of understand what you mean by The Razor's Edge though. It does tend to fizzle out toward the end. Not that I'm saying it's a bad album but it is better in the first half.

Ballbreaker is a great album, actually.  And I liked Stiff Upper Lip a lot.

I wasn't fond of The Razor's Edge-the first half of the album was great...then it was just ok.

Im a Bon Scott fan moreso-but my fave Brian album was by and far Blow Up Your Video.

My uncles step-son went to school with Cliff Williams' kid.  They both lived in Fort Meyers, FL.

How cool is that???!!!

AC/DC kicks serious ass!  I think I'm more of a Bon Scott-era fan than Brian Johnson.  Nothing AC/DC has done since The Razor's Edge has been quality stuff.
