My first post!  Could someone notify me when/if there are going to be dates in the United States?

I've been lucky enough to see the boys on at least 4 tours here in the States.  I really hope I'm able to get tickets to the Epitaph tour.  I can't even begin to explain how much of an impact they have had on my life over the last 30 years.  Especially Glenn and K.K. without them I would have never picked up a guitar....So I owe a big thanks to them both for bringing that joy into my life!

Best band ever and they're saying good bye? I grew listening to Judas'. I remember I was 14 and a cousin sent me to find some Lp's she had at our grandma's house, there were some cinderella, kiss, others and defenders of the faith from Judas', I remember being listening to Guns and Roses stuff at that time and then I saw this Lp who had some different thing on its cover. Then, when I put it on the stereo everything changed, rock music had only one real good band and it was judas'. After that I met a guy who had been a rocker for many years and had colections of many bands, he asked me: "what do you listen to? don't tell me metallica and maiden shat coz everybody listens to them" and I said Judas'........... and he showed me all judas' Lp's he had by that time. Then I found my own collection of LP's and some CD's. There are missing some judas releases but I'm proud of having colected most of them. The only thing now is that they're in a farewell tour and I couldn't see them ever. They were in Columbia (Colombia in Spanish) I think it was the most close they never were from home (Venezuela). Ripper was here in December 2010, he sang amazingly but  Ican't die without watching at Halford's perform.  I don't care if he thinks he's old and can't sing as before, he's still the metal god!. By the way could someone tell me if they're coming to VEnezuela or that I'll have to travel to a near country? I'll kill someone if they're not coming and I have to beg for my goverment letting me get the needed dollars to fly abroad. Here is stupid restriction to go abroad and taking money. In former years ppl used to go to the airport acquire their currency and travel, now yuçou have to pass thru a traumatic and tedious process to acquire the money to travel. Damn politicians, they never invent something useful

Are there going to be more dates for the UK than just the "High Voltage" festival..? How long will they have on set? They need at least 90 mins if its a farewell gig!
[dawnflint] Friday, December 31, 2010 4:40:44 AM
No actual tour dates in England yet but they are booked for the High Voltage festival over here in July 2011. Already have my ticket booked.  soooooo can't wait!!!!

what I keep wishing, is just "come to Norway" and now they are, and I am not sure I have an opportunity to see them. If it's really their plan to do one last world tour, and then stop, i just hope that they start the tour, and because of the fans and such, they decide that the year they had off was not good, and made them forget about how awesome it is when they are touring, and decide to make it a "we're not done yet" tour. YOU CAN'T POSSIBLY BE QUITTING NOW!!

My vote? No. We certainly will not get any "from the vault" releases. Why? I say that they just don't exist.

You know that I have hundreds of boots too. I also remember the rumors flying around judaspriestworld.com and then **poof** like vaporware. I am really sloppy with the organization of all the stuff I have. Which is the earliest besides "The Ripper" for audio and "Visual Metalogy" for video (off the top of my head)? I'll have to seriously sit down and look at my own collection someday.

Either way, my personal thoughts on the subject are above. Like you said, what we have is really quite limited. Sad but true.

You like me have everything old from Priest, incl. audio boots and limited video. My question to the Priest faithful and Gallery is: Now that Priest is saying farewell, will we get one last release of rare material from the vaults, whether Video or Audio? The possibilities would say there are so many things they could release, but in reality Priest has "never grasped the past" in providing us some of the early footage of the band. I firmly believe it just doesnt exist, whether is a show from British Steel or Point of Entry or earlier? Bands like Kiss and Maiden have hundreds of hours and footage yet Priest is very limited in what they have released. It may be a contractual thing with CBS or whatever but you would think after all these years we would get something. There was a rumour about a year ago about a Hamburg 1981 POE tour show on video (reported on judaspriestworld.com - which has closed up shop sometime ago) was surfacing. Its just sad to think when Priest finally hangs it up and says goodbye we are left with only a handful of shows from the early tours. Yes we know about Old Grey Whistle, Tokyo 1978, One clip of Green Manalishi from 79-80, the dubbed chicago show from 1981.. but thats it seriously on the old stuff. I guess after following JP after all these years and tours, this Priest fan was hoping to get something that showed them in the raw, ripping the tunes and what made them so great in the early years. I can go on but I am just left with an empty feeling that without any release from the vault, people will not get to see what we remember was Priest in their heyday, ontop of the metal world. No need to post your favorite setlist here, just an explanation into why we havent seen anything like this from the "Priest vault". No mgdman they are not giving us another "studio album" so no new material which "sucks balls" as we all know.  They are touring a "greatest hits" farewell smarenell tour. Blah.
