I was at the Vegas show as well. GREAT venue, the Pearl! Intimate and acoustically perfect. I loved it and Rob was in wonderful voice, I agree.

I saw Priest twice on the last American tour. In San Bernardino, CA and in Las Vegas. The San Bernardino show was part of the Metal Masters tour and it did not include "Sinner" or "Death". However, The Las Vegas show was the last show of the American tour for Priest but was not part of the Metal Masters tour. I was front row in the pit, there was no opening band, Priest started playing about 8:15pm and guess what!!........... they played the long set including "sinner" and "death". Sinner sounded so killer and Rob's screams at the end were surprisingly super high since his voice is getting old!! SINNEEEEEEEEER SINNEEEEEEER!!!  It's true :)  The Vegas show was the only show of the american tour that included those two songs!

Dan:

Go to the Intro Page: Priest in Yokohama & Tokyo. Couple of Good reviews there.

As far as I have ssen/heard, not one change in the setlist. Some really good recent Youtubes from Priest in Australia & Japan Sept 2008.
I dont have the links at the moment, but Try Melbourne Metal Gods 2008 & Osaka Festival Hall 2008. Im sure you will enjoy 'em.

Does anyone have Japan show reviews or set lists?

[Maple Syrup] Friday, August 15, 2008 10:22:52 AM

Metal Masters = No Sinner & Death. They have to cut it short because of the 4 Bands and Noise Curfews. If you were one of the lucky ones to hear Sinner live, proly the best song weve missed. I agree get it in there Priest however you can. Here's a thought: Motorhead can cut 2 of their songs from setlist. MSyrup

[Dan Marshall29116] Thursday, August 14, 2008 9:50:50 PM

PLEASE put Sinner back in the set. Drop any other song you want if needed but PLEASE put Sinner back in.

Thank you very much.

I need to see the Priest when it's just them & 1 other band--was disappointed they didn't play Diamonds N Rust-Headin' Out To The Highway -Victim Of Changes or Livin' After Midnight at Nissan [avillion due to some STUPID noise ordinance law--but then you can't play Livin' After Midnight when you're made to leave the stage  by 11pm.--but am glad I saw them for the 85-90 minutes I did see them .

yeah, when I saw them at PNC on Saturday, I was hoping for Sinner but they didn't play it because of the noise curfew... which sucks because I was looking forward to that song more than any other!  But Priest did great, it was incredible to finally see them live

For you people not getting to hear them do The Sinner is a real shame.  It was the highlight of the show when I saw them.  KK's solo was outstanding and Rob's screams at the end were unbelievable!

probably because they only had voivod opening, not three bands.

[PRIESTMAN] Monday, August 11, 2008 5:38:32 PM
PNC art center NJ, setlist cut short by 5 songs Because of Holmdels  bullshit noise ordinance. Less than an hour and a half of Priest? WTF? PNC's security sucked. How could I miss most of 4 songs from the second row center? Answer! a bunch of drunken idiots trying to get to the stage that were trampling everyone in site including Me and my Wife as security is watching this happen and shrugging his shoulders as I'm telling him to do something about it. And then 4 idiots get past security and get on stage during the concert. Nothing against Priest  this was out of their control , But alot against PNC art center, This was the Worst Priest show ever at PNC and I've seen them in concert Here in the past few years and had a Great time. I've seen them elsewhere and had a Great time. I've been a true fan for 32 years and have always enjoyed their concerts. I have to agree the sound was Great . The meet and greet was a cattle call at best. Don't bring a camera, we'll post the picture on our website for you, OK ,went to see my picture with the band and low and behold it's not there, Nor are alot of fans pictures who paid their good hard earned money. Would I ever pay $400.00 for a ticket with a meet and greet again? NO F--king way. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the best, I rate this concert at PNC a -2.

I caught the show last night at Jones Beach and what can I say that hasn't already been said here? It was amazing! I missed Testament, but I thought Motorhead and H&H sounded good. That being said, Priest blew them away! Period. The only real drawback was the set length. Priest went onstage promptly at 9:30 and ended at 10:52. One hour and 22 minutes?? What is this, 1979? I would also liked to have heard more from Nostradamus, but the set list was incredible! It was great hearing Devil's Child, Dissident Aggressor, and Rock Hard, Ride Free again. Plus, I thought the Painkiller tracks were a nice touch. Amazing night with an amazing show!!

Great to hear from someone else going to the same show!   I was there for the AOR tour also and they did not play it.  have a great one   All hail the Metal Gods

I was in front row in front of KK, when that guy come up and bowed it was classic.  The security guard in front of us was clueless!  I loved that Rob shook his hand before they dragged him off.  The other people were just being jerks.  That's what happens when you have 4 band on the bill and people have too much time to drink.  I thought Priest sounded and performed the best!  I was getting a little worried that the sound at the PNC was bad but when Priest played it sounded perfect!

Last nights show was great. Band was tight, sound was loud yet clear. We did get to hear HELLPATROL, which i thought won't be played. How about those fans rushing the stage at the end, lol? The band took it very well, shaking their hands before they were removed. That one guy who got down on his knees, and had bowed to Rob was cool? Looking foward to tour dates to promoting Nostradamus.

Saw Priest last night at PNC. Cut Sinner & Death from the setlist. Got up to first row and shook Halford's hand. Awesome...

Band sounded really good and the diversified song selection made it all the better. I would have liked to see KK go off on Sinner, but I am not complaining as it was a great show. Thank you JP!

Virginia concert was AWESOME...but...

I agree that the concert would be better without all the extra bands. One opening act is enough. I don't mean to disrespect the bands opening for Priest. I never got into Motorhead, but there were years where I listened to Testament and DIO (now in "Heaven and Hell") alot. I think they each have about 20 kick ass songs. But when I'm going to a Priest concert....I want to see as much Priest as I possibly can.

Loved the show, had a great time, but hopefully next time they'll just have one opening act and play a few more songs (they played 16 in Virginia, 20-22 would be better; hell, have a 30-minute intermission and do 30 songs!!).
[VICTIM OF METAL] Friday, August 08, 2008 4:49:27 PM
If Testament and Motorhead took one song each from their setlist. And Heaven and Hell didn't play the extended version of heaven and hell, we could maybe fit in sinner, victim of changes or beyond the realms of death? Or something deep like, better by you, better then me, the sentinel, or rapid fire? Looking foward to tomorrow at the PNC ART CENTER, N.J.. I will be flying high when Rob greets the crowd after the first few songs to say," IT'S  SATURDAY NIGHT AND THE PRIEST IS BACK...
[Dan Marshall29116] Friday, August 08, 2008 10:28:37 AM

I will be going to the Metal Masters show on August 31st and am stoked!!! I was truly hoping Sinner would make the setlist for the duration of the tour though. I think the Halford band played it when they opened for Iron Maiden a few years back but it is not the same. I don't think it was played on Angel of Retribution tour.

[Brent 27744] Friday, August 08, 2008 8:07:20 AM
Saw Priest at Nissan Pavillion, Virginia last night. Place was packed, Priest sounded great, very good concert. They played the same setlist, minus "Sinner" and "Death." They finished close to 11:00, so they probably dropped those two songs so they could finish before a noise ordinance kicked in. But they didn't start playing 'til about 9:40. Too many bands for a week night show I think.

It was worth it just for "Devil's Child" and "Rock Hard, Ride Free." Wish they played more of the forgotten classics. Halford's voice on Painkiller sounded great, he was really hitting the high notes good (his voice really sounded flawless throughout the show).

So, it was great....the sound and musicianship was very, very tight. And for 16 songs, a good, diverse setlist.
[Spider-like] Thursday, August 07, 2008 10:24:35 PM

I'm going to the Virginia show tonight. I want to hear Starbreaker with a long drum solo in the middle. Can someone call up Priest and tell them to play it for me? "Invader" too. Starbreaker leading right into Invader...

"Look out here's Starbreaker, cruisin' into town....set his mind to stealin', every heart around..." Wooo hooo, I know they're going to play it for me!!

[Maple Syrup] Thursday, August 07, 2008 8:43:55 AM

Darth: Glad to hear it was a great, albeit shortened show. But, WTF: No SInner!!!!! I will be truly pissed if this one is left off the setlist thats for sure. This is what happens when you have 4 bands on the bill, incl. Testament, which IMO: everyone of their songs sound the same. Hope nobody got shot on the way outta of the armpit of America, Camden, NJ. God awful town and dont make a wrong turn or you'll....

I am going on Sat to PNC & Jones Beach on Sunday and I am hopeful they wont cut the setlist short.. I would rather hear more H&H & Priest and less of Lemmy / Testiclement.

sweet!!!
the noise bylaws are insane.  they gave an extension here to 11pm (normal is 10), and had bylaw cops out in the surounding neibourhoods cause during the day your only alowed to let 65 Db off your property.  somewhere during the monsters of rock show it got to 68, so they got asked to turn it down a little (this is sound going out the football stadium, accross the parking lot, the road, and into a residential area.  I never noticed a drop in the sound.  the realy funny part is that during friday night rush hour the noise from the road was 71 Db.  WTF????

Okay, being there is a noise ordinance in effect in Camden, NJ.  All concert venues shutdown at 11pm.  That being said, we only got 16songs from Priest (9 from H-n-H but the song Heaven And Hell itself was a 12 minute jam fest).  Anyhow, here's the Priest setlist from this evening.  To all those going to the Virginia show tonight, you people are in for a serious treat!  Halford and the boys (especially Rob) were fucking incredible!

1. Dawn of Creation
2. Prophecy
3. Metal Gods
4. Eat Me Alive
5. Between The Hammer & The Anvil
6. Devil's Child
7. Breaking The Law

13. Painkillllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllller!
14. Hell Bent For Leather
15. Green Manalishi
16. You Got Another Thing Comin'

If anyone wants the Heaven n' Hell setlist, let me know via PM.  Sorry, but I missed Motorhead and Testament due to some good drinking - I mean tailgating.

To my bud, T.S., I hope you made it home safely bro.  Alright kids, it's almost 1:30am.  I need sleep.  Rock Hard Ride Free!!!!

That was aboslutly amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of THEE best fucking 'Priest concerts I've ever seen.

I was near the middle of the crowd on the floor.. Then by the time Breaking The Law came about, I was in the front row.
That was the greatest time ever.

i gotta sore neck from headbangin', no voice left.. and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Oh yeah, I got to shake Rob & Scott's hand's . . .And got Scott's sticks.

This was the ultimate concert. :)
(Down side was the opening act.. WAS planned to be Metal Church, but turned out to be a diff. band . .  )

Sinner was fucking amazing, too.

Long live the Priest Beast!

Can't wait to see 'em again soon!

Saw them last night in Saskatoon with my 9 year old son.  They are sounding extremely tight.  An awesome set list as stated before (my son wanted to hear Desert Plains).  KK's shredding on The Sinner was amazing.  Anybody on the fence about seeing this concert should go.  You won't regret it.
