NINE INCH NAILS in Duluth, Ga 8-13-08
Sound was good, but they went way overboard with the constant flashing lights. Those video screens were interesting for a little while. They were also over-used. There were times you couldn't even see the band. Played mostly stuff from The Slip, Year Zero, and Ghosts, but also played the old fan favorites and the hits that you would expect. I give it 7 stars out of 10.
THE MEATMEN in Atlanta 5-15-08
Best punk rock band ever finally made their return. Tesco Vee still sounds strong and is still energetic on stage at 50! Nice small club, sound was good, hung out with Tesco for a while, not too expensive, they blasted out most of my favorite songs, played a few I didn't expect. I had a great time at this show. The Despised opened up. They weren't bad. This show gets 10 stars out of 10.
On Oct. 11th, there are 4 different shows in Atlanta that I want to see, but unless I clone myself, I'll just make it to one. Joe Bonamassa (great blues guitarist) at Center Stage, Danzig / Dimmu Borgir at the Tabernacle, Kamelot at the Masquerade, or The Allman Brothers at Chastain.
