Are there original songs that sounded better on a live album?

I got a bootleg copy of Beyond The Realms Of Death that I much prefer to the cd version --but they're both good !!
But the live version  there's more raw emotion & the guitar solo was extra long & powerful !!

Yes! they do sound a bit different. I like both versions depending on my mood.

For the first time today i heard Sad Wings the none live version. I was suprised, the song i downloaded that was live just blows that version away. They go for a more raw sound live then the musical sound they shot for in the studio.
