It's day 14 listening to Chinese Democracy, i'm goin all cross-eyed from staring at my monitor, porn isn't doing it for me anymore, my hands are cramping up, all the songs have melded into one, it's telling me things, 146 days to go, where's my hunting knife?

[SkyRideR] Thursday, December 04, 2008 3:24:57 PM
so now slash and co were released from their record label & steven adler is in rehab, scott weiland released his second solo effort...
and axle is still lost...someone scratch his eyes out.
[jimmyjames] Thursday, December 04, 2008 2:23:40 PM
I think so. Especially considering the fact that they hadn't brought out an album since 1993's Spaghetti Incident. The shows were great as well.

Seriously? I had no idea! That is a testament to the band and its music, surely.

They came over to NZ last year for a one off show and ended up doing three shows because the demand was so high. I'd say that suggests they have a pretty strong core audience. At least in this part of the world. Chinese Democracy is number one on the charts here at the moment.

Okay...I don't mean to be rude WW & HB, but isn't this something for the Social Issues & Politics thread?  Granted, no one really wants to go there anymore (with all of the conspiracy theory nonsense that Kendall usually spits forth).

Have you heard some of the radio stations inciting protests in the streets?  One even said he'd get his gun out!  Wow... people are pissed off.  It's getting crazy out there!

Who knew Canadian poliitics could give the US a run for the 'drama' cup...?

I watched the news and, according to history, if the non-confidence vote goes thru, she pretty much has no choice...  that's why you must send an email to her:  [email protected]

Or call ... (busy all time, big surprise) #1 800 465-6890

Even though I didn't vote for Harper and his PC's, it is the democratic principle of the whole thing that matters more.  We just had an election, and the people spoke!  What the hell?

It is ridiculous, outrageous and presumptous of those three to think they have our best interests at heart by tearing the country apart.  (Did you see them on the news, signing the Coalition Agreement?  The word, vultures, came to mind...  it's exactly what they looked like too...)

My guess is this:  they may have a sneaky suspicion the PC's won't 'stimulate' the auto-industry (specifically), and the NDP being what it is with unions, have probably been under all kinds of pressure from the CAW to get help.  Bullshit.  The NDP wrecked BC with all that, which is why they can't get back in there...

Does this mean we have an untimely eco-tax thing imposed by that idiot freakin' Dion!?  This country is going to be destroyed by that twit.  One NDP from Manitoba said, "We will be working separately, but together."  Yeah, that's got success written all over it.  I can see this is *so* NOT going going to go well...!!!

And, to forge an alliance with the Bloc!?  Quebec, who wants to separate, but still get their "have-not" cheques from Alberta!?  Holy hell, I'm so pissed by all of this.

And, they wonder why people don't care to vote!?  Because it makes not one iota of a difference, that's freakin' why.  It's putting Canada into a coup, nothing short of a third-world country or banana republic.  Disgusting.

The word, "Revolution" comes to mind... with Ian banging that bass around ...  If there is any wind of a protest, anywhere ... let me know.  We are so "there", and I'm not usually prone to that kind of thing.  But this is not something Canadians should let happen.

If it does, they can't let it go.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Head banger from Tuesday, December 02, 2008 12:46:04 PM)

So...it's finally out there, eh?    After...HOW many years??     Me thinks Axl Rose has gone to the  "Tom Scholz School For Album Manufacturing..."    that is...give 'em a new album every decade or so (don't get me wrong, I love Boston's music just fine).

"Chinese Democracy,"   eh?     Hmm...interesting title.     I don't know about you all...but I like Chinese food when I'm REALLY in the mood for it....can't help but wonder if  "Chinese Democracy"  works the same way....

....for that matter,  after an hour or so from listening to it...do you end up 'hungry' again and listen to something more substantive??    o_O

It's been too long and the opportunity was missed for GNR. More people care about a Judas Priest reunion than they care abour a Gunsn'Roses reunion because all of Judas Priest members have been far more professional and genuine than GNR, even in JP's worse bitchy times.
Besides, Glenn  Tipton can outplay anyone from GNR. KK Downing won't even bother with competition and Ian Hill, well, he's Ian Hill (kissy kissy). Rob Halford is a better songwriter, singer and frontman than Axel Rose EVER thought of being and in my opinion, better looking. At least Halford admits he's gay. Axel Rose lies about it ;)

Well I found it more interesting than "wotcha eating" or "wotcha drinkin."

However at least some people have realised it was meant to be tongue in cheek.

Well JJ if it prevents you from going on a killing spree,  all I can say is "Listen on"  to that metal band  called "Chinese Democracy"
