I have searched in the whole net for Glenn and K.K. and have find a lot of interviews the both talking about their equipment.
Glenn said in one of them that he used the GSP1101 besides the others and that he's using two units. Post a pic later of his rack he has used during the Nostradamus recording, but you can see this rack on my MySpace page too (Judas Priest - Studio shots). In this pic you can't see the other PreAmps.
K. K. has told he's using the GSP1101 besides his other PreAmps too. I think he use two units like Glenn (one for the guitars and one for the MIDI guitars).

I`m sure their live rigs probably don`t change much from one tour to another, this way their sound is consistent.

Over at the Steel Mill Ken mentioned he started using the Piranha during the"Ripper" era. On Marshall`s website, there is an interview with Ken and he is talking about the JMP-1.

Glenn is using two units of the DigiTech GSP1101 PreAmp, but he's useing the Rocktron Piranha Tube PreAmp and the Mesa Boogie TriAxis Tube PreAmp too.
K.K. is useing the GSP1101 too and the Rocktron Piranha Tube PreAmp and the Marshall JMP-1.

You can take a look at my MySpace page. There a lot of albums with the equipment from Glenn and K.K.!! Older and newer.
Pedalboards, 19 Inch Rack units, Older synth, newer synth and MIDI and so on. I'm not ready, 'Cause I'm searching for a lot of pics. When all is done then I start with Ian.

I just wanted to start a thread for the fans of Judas Priest that are musicians themselves. I don't know as much as I used to about their guitar equipment so I thought it would be cool to learn some things I forgot and things I never knew. It would be even cooler if KK and Glenn themselves would participate in the discussion. |
