And what type of opinions are displayed, Bev? Won't you be more specific and make us all laugh a bit? You are very witty
[Bev] Wednesday, August 26, 2009 6:17:47 AM
I say, let WhereAmI and the rest have their say!  Afterall, it feeds the attitude of the God himself to have these types of opinions displayed.  I think he even writes about it in one of his songs - think it's in Silent Screams?  Anyway, a hardy Thanks to all for feeding the Gods!!! LOL

Honestly, I would doubt that, as he mostly seems to have posts related to Priest (unlike those other guys who seem obsessed with J.D., lol).

He just strikes me as someone who doesn't realize how big a jackass he looks while telling everyone Rob is fat and has "man boobs."

In otherwords, just a harmless guy with a common sense deficiency.

I agree with you Imp!  And as far as Rob Ward goes, I would bet money he is the same person who uses Numero Uno, and Wild Nights, Hot and Crazy Days" as his member name. All the same fool. And about at least a half dozen or more I know of.
One of those imposters. Bet cold Hard Cash on it! LOL

Most of us have lives dude.  We just really like it here.  All of the old time posters have a rapport.

I don't think you're the only one that's shown concern, as I recall there were others worried about his back, and many others, along with myself, noticed and were concerned about his performance last year even.

In all honesty, I wasn't "offended" by your observation.  I felt it was fair to point out-however, it was the way you put it that irritated posters.  250 lbs Halford is NOT.  Join a gym?  Hell, the guy gets a work out every effing show...

Common sense dictates that, in being on a Priest board and all, you should expect a level of hostility in reaction to some of the harder words against the band.

We need to "get a life"??  (Laughing my ass off at this one....)....well Rob...for us it only takes 10 minutes to post something each day

and each night....perhaps it takes YOU all day long to make one post? (lol!)  From the sounds of your post...I think I am correct here..no?

The big difference between all of us and you is that we all go to work, take care of kids,go shopping, run aarons,go to friend's houses..

go to concerts,do yard work ect..and still post something every day...its called something YOU DON'T HAVE........are you ready Rob?

Its called "MULTITASKING".     (Laughing my fucking ass of at this guy!!!!!!!)  LOL!! HAHAHAHHAHA!!!!

You all need to get a life, stop wasting your lives on a message board. But if you must waste your life at least read the whole thread and find my original point before commenting on it.

There is a person on here claiming that he sat on a bus with Rob and his 180lb body...

I don't need to stop liking Priest because I made an observation.

I am the only one on this entire board that showed any concern for the guys health. All the rest of you would have let the guy die and say stupid things like. "Rob gave it his all til the end."

I don't know why I need to show a picture of myself or my gut.

If you bothered to look I got that picture off this very site, it took 3 seconds.
[J.D. DIAMOND] Tuesday, August 25, 2009 4:30:42 AM

Hey Rob Ward.....if Rob Halford's waist bothers you "that much"...then maybe you ought to think about stop liking Judas Priest?

I don't know what else to tell you here.  Thats like saying...."I saw Priest last night "BUT"......Ian Hill's hair line is receeding.....

.......and everybody is looking at each other going "....yyyyeahhh....sssoooooo is there a point to this?   Not trying to rile you up

but thats just how it sounds. Nobody in here is denying that Rob has a spare tire around his waist...so do I.....(a small one but its still a spare tire"!!)LOL!!!

BTW, Halford looks pretty bad ass in that pic there.  Thanks for postin' it.

Check It Out...
[Rob Ward] Monday, August 24, 2009 10:33:37 PM
After he came out on the bike he had a long jacket covered with silver studs. Durning the song he took the jacket off and tied it around his waist. He had a black tank top on underneath that was more like the top of a jump suit you would see a wrestler wear. I wasn't close to the stage but I was under the pavilion and the big screens were very visable. He looked fat too me, he looked like he had man boobs as his chest did not look firm at all. I weight 200lbs and I'm 5'11" and he has a much bigger gut then I do. His arms are also big, not muscle but fat big, no way he weighs 180, he hasn't seen 180 since Turbo.
[HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS] Monday, August 24, 2009 7:13:09 PM
Oh, I agree, he has always leaned forward while singing, especially the long hight notes. But it was very obvious in Detroit that something happened during the show because one minute he was fine and then after he rolled out on the bike, he was really limping. I had snuck into the front row by then and I could see the pain in his face. He is such an amazing performer though and he NEVER allows anything to stop him. I don't think you would have even noticed it if you were even a few rows back. Just seemed like it was either his back or his right leg. I can't imagine doing what he does at all and then throw in the fact that it is 100+ degrees on that stage with all the leather on. I'd pass out, no doubt about it! You have to be in excellent shape to perform the way he does!

Ya know there are so many conditions we suffer from with time it would be hard to pinpoint by just his actions. He could have trouble with Siatica or a host of other things, but he has always leaned forward to sins higher since a long time ago! I think he gets around pretty good with a couple of cows worth of leather on, under those hot lights, and at his age! I couldn't do it!  By this time it could also be just plain fatigue.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS from Monday, August 24, 2009 6:13:26 PM)

I agree with you Jacklone. Rob might have a little bit of a belly but he's pretty rock solid other than that! Most men his age would KILL to be in his condition, better yet alot of men past 30 would kill to be in that shape!

[HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS] Monday, August 24, 2009 6:13:26 PM
I completely agree there! 250??? I DON'T think so! Yes, he is packing a few pounds around the waist, but he is not that big. I'm wondering is he has back problems. In Cleveland he wasn't dancing around, but he seemed fine. In Detroit the next night, he was the same as Cleveland but then toward the end, he came out limping. A week later in Cincinnati after a day off, he was dancing around the stage like the Rob of old. Weight is NOT his problem. Wonder if when he got flipped off the bike in Toronto he hurt his back and it's been a problem ever since? Driving around on the tour bus can't help the situation either if it is his back.

i'm sorry to say R. Ward,  Rob Halford is NOT near 250 lbs! i actually got to sit down on the bus with him and talk in cleveland, he was in shorts and a t-shirt (checkout the pic's on the 'Nostradamus Everyday' thread), if he weighs 180 thats being generous.  what you saw onstage was 80 lbs. of wardrobe....

Rob,

You mention the setlist was a little different but you would not give it out.

Why is you reason?  It is the lst damn show of the tour!

Plus that is your opinion.  If we do or don't want to know theset list we could choose NOT to read it.

Please since this is JP fan site, I'd say that you are the odd man out in thinking that we do not want to know the "different" set list.

99.8% of the people on this site want to know set lists.

So how was it differen then the prior shows?
[Rob Ward] Monday, August 24, 2009 12:10:21 AM
I was at the Merriweather show and it was totally awesome. The last time I saw Priest (AOR) the whole band kept leaving the stage but I do think Rob did it much more then he did before. He's certainly less active then he used to be. He also needs to join a gym as he's put on quite a bit of weight which is probably why he's not as active, he's got to be close to 250lbs + or -. Although his voice is in prime shape, I believe it would get much better if he lost weight. If I was his close personal friend, band mate, family member I'd be concern for him. At his age touring and playing in hot humid place like Merriweather he could suffer a heart attack. Anyone from Judas Priest management, band, family member or Rob himself reading this??

Their performance would be nothing short of spectacular for young guys let alone guys in their late 50's and early 60's. There were a couple of miss cues but I guess that's to be expected at every concert. I thought the beginning of Victim was played too slowly. I don't like their guitar tone anymore, they use them god awful effects processors and the punch of the guitars just isn't there. Had they had been playing through tube amps the guitars would have been more in your face the way I remember from them in the 80's.

I liked the set list as it was somewhat different then what was posted on here. For the record I'm against giving out the set list, it's like telling someone how a movie ends before you go to see it. The lights and lasers were great as well. I bought 2 T-Shirts, The Sad Wings shirt was my favorite but it didn't have the dates on the back so I bought one Sad Wings and one British Steel.

I also missed Popevil because my girlfriend had to work. But I guess that's no big deal as I never heard of them until they started touring with Priest.

Kix is always awesome to see. If you like the Stones only harder you'd love Kix. Steve Whiteman is a class "A" front man, his style has been stolen from the likes of Brett Michaels and other 80's hair band singers. He's always been an active front man, even at his age which I don't know what it is but he's probably in his 50's he's non stop. He engages the crowd and keeps everyone into the show. I've seen him several times with Kix and his side project "Funny Money" and he always has some little shtick that he's does throughout the show. I once saw him and he would tell little short stories and things that he did while he was wearing the paints he had on that night. He said things like he was wearing those paints when they filmed a video back in the 80's, or he had sex with two girls when he wore those paints. Just something he could come back to every once in a while. That's what someone was referring to earlier about him grabbing his crotch, it's just his thing he does for entertainment purposes. After the first or second song he pulled a banana out of his paints and made a joke about it, and then he went from there.

Overall a great show I'm glad I went.

Yeh, to be in walking distance is a great thing. My friend and I got our rooms in Nashville as close as we could get. We walked less than a mile there. Always good not to involve a vehichel in the ingredients of an outstanding metal evening! LOL

I went to Nashville, which is a long haul, but only an hour or so shorter than traveling to the Post. Of course, where I live, travel will be involved if I plan on seeing any good shows! LOL Do you live in MD or VA? if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah, I would have liked to have seen JP earlier in the tour, but this was the closest to me.  Even with Rob being ill maybe, it was a great show and the crowd gave JP much respect.

During Rapid Fire, Rob forgot about the break and kept singing which threw the band a little but you wouldn't have known it if you didn't know the song as the boys kept the beat and got back on track without any real problems.
[spapad] Sunday, August 23, 2009 11:47:47 AM
I wish I could have afforded to go to that show as well, but August is "back to school time" and last year going to Bristow put me in a bind for the back to school issue. Better I went earlier, but still I wish I could have gone to both!
