But My point was BasookaJoe That its ROBS web site.. much like a business, its like appointing mangagers, when you appoint moderators to be in-charge.. and you have a responsibility as owner of the site to make sure that the people who are running it are doing a great Job for you as an artist.. other wise.. why run the site at all? |

gotta agree with Joe here, the band should not have to control the boards. thats why priest hires Murray and why Rob hires webmasters who apoint mods. agree or not with those people but its not the bands job to regulate what we say or think, or who says what. if they are going to have a forum, they accept that there will be divergent opinions.

What? No he doesn't. A band should NEVER have to get involved with petty little arguments that the members have over something like politics.
Rob owns the site but its not his job to fix arguments..... thats asking a bit much. And yes the website is his name, but its not about HIM, its about his MUSICAL CAREER and everything he's done. Well "yeah" Joe of course you keep coming back here because of "the people",why would anybody stay at a forum just because they like the layout and colors and updates? Your the first person I've ever noticed that has complained about the colors,the way the site is designed and ran ect...and who gives a shit about getting an update from the band? Are they supposed to give us an update every 2 weeks? That is ridiculous. I actuallly prefer us getting updated once every 3 months thats good enough for me,I can give a rats ass what the band is doing right now,when there is important information they will let us know right? We don't need the "lyrics" either,most of the band's lyrics are with the album/CD so really we don't need them here. I actually hate the layout and design of the Halford Q but if you enjoy it that much,more power to ya. Have fun at your "Q" Joe,but thats not a slag against you,its just my opinion of the Q.

I cant coment on the Q because I havent spent enough time there. but I have seen mods otherplaces go on a power trip. it happens. unfortunatly its not like hiring someone for a job.
as to the updates, sure it would be nice to get more. the band isnt out there telling us. so be it. thats the band, not the site. the layout, who cares if it changes. personaly, the Q is not accesable to me at work because of all the content and flashy layouts. here all we need is the people. they could dump all the rest of the stuff as far as I am concerned and just have the people

Joe, I fully understand your point of veiw, and I'm sure the moderators over there do have a set amount of rules for which they must adhere. I prefer this sight because......, well see my former post and you know why, and I do like the fact that Murray is not "friends" with anyone here. It's not his job to be "our friend" and for the most part only the most blattent of Shit disturbers have ever accused him of being so. His job is to oversee this sight and take care of reported offensive posters.
It seems that several people have accused the Q moderators as being "friends" with certain members there. I have NO idea if that is true, but if is, in the littlest amount, I could see how that would cause friction and disruption.
All I have said is from and out looking in perspective, just to clarify my opinion on the matter.

And I can understand where your all coming from if you've had trouble from some people there but I can say this that the mods do NOT just ban people whenever they feel like it or for the hell of it.
There's a lot of nice people there, its just like moving to any other different forum. You aren't going to know how people or act until you spend some time there and learn when there being a dick or having a laugh.

I've been over there since 2002.. not actively posting until about 4 yrs back,it was a Great place to be 4 yrs ago
