Hey Bud...I also get the 'dream within a dream' thing - with the ability to control and change direction of the scenario. Maybe I learned it from 'Silent Lucidity' lol...but my favourite is always the dream about flying. The coolest thing is that nobody else in my dreams is able to fly, just me, and nobody in the dream thinks it's weird that I can. I guess one could argue that the flying dreams represent the dreamer's escape from whatever is holding them back - old garbage that hasn't been dealt with from the past, or even current stressful situations. Flying is the ultimate escape. I love the feeling - the weird thing is that it's so realistic - I can feel the air moving around me, my hair flying around me too. The other dreams I get when I am in the ' bad place' is usually doing all the things I know I can't do in real life - tell people how I really feel, get into street fights, take off with rock bands and stupid shit like that. I guess it's like a chance to experience the road not taken.... |

I have a question about dreams that I hope someone here will comment on.
Some of my dreams are about me realizing in my dream that I am dreaming. When this happens
I'm able to take control of my dreams or least that's what I'm dreaming. One of my favorite things is
to make myself fly. I just jump up and start floating upward. It's always temporary though. I'll float
around for awhile and then gently descend. It's cool because sometimes in my dream I think I know
I'm dreaming but not quite sure and I'll come up to a cliff or something like that and stand and think
about jumping. Because I'm not sure if I'm dreaming or not the thrill factor sets in and when I jump
it's such a rush. If someone is trying to harm me in these dreams it's the same thing. I'm not sure so
I make a stand and when I triumph the thrill is overwhelming. I'll make myself do weird shit like run
through walls or dive in water and just keep going deeper and the rush is always there. Occasionally
I know I'm dreaming and it will be something f#cked up happening to me and I try to wake myself up.
It's weird because I'll be yelling, or holding my breath or any number of things and I usually do end up
waking from it.
Does anyone else dream this way? |

I'm like, WTF now. Why are you sharing this? How long a life do you think this thread has? Anyway, I then went inside a cafe that was next to the tram stop. I went in there to see if the timetables for the tram line were there. They weren't, but instead there was a huge poster advertising Judas Priest's Epitaph tour! But there were a few strange things about it. First off, it'd be really strange if JP was advertised so much in Finland - unfortunately, for some reason the band isn't as popular here as other metal bands are. Secondly, there were multiple tour dates on the poster, as if they would have more than just one concert here (the only time Priest has been here more than once on a single tour was on the Retribution tour, with three gigs). And thirdly, a couple of the band members looked weird. I could recognize Glenn, Ian and Scott easily, but the other guitarist was a complete stranger (I guess it was my mind's rendition of Richie Faulkner, although it only remotely looked like him). And the vocalist, who was pictured much bigger than the others and standing away from them, was sort of a weird hybrid of Rob and Ripper - imagine a bald Ripper Owens with Rob's sunglasses and you're pretty close. The dream went on from that but that was the most interesting part. I was really like "WTF?" the next morning.
