anything acoustic does not belong in a metal show
Halford band is not priest. a pale shadow when doing priest stuff
closing with YGATC makes no sense. maybe its just me but the point of a farewell tour is we dont got another thing coming....
Turbo is way old
could have been better, could have been worse. cant wait for BRS

Other than that, not much...Dont get me wrong it is a solid setlist, but too safe IMO. Throw in Living aftre Midnight and it only becomes worse..
Too many missing classics to go on about...running wild, desert plains, tyrant, jawbreaker, etc...
Halford looks and sounds great and is unlikely they will change the setlist up much, considering they rarely do so. Looking frwd to seeing Priest in the states.

Can't remember the exact interview (might've been the recent one in Kerrang! or perhaps the LA press conference), but there was mention of them having rehearsed quite a few extra songs so they could take out, and put in different ones to shake things up a bit on different nights. Good idea if it happens.

I am going to see the Priest on July 21st and if thats the set list then i will be happy!!
Yeah there are always songs you would want to hear (Desert Plains,Ram It Down,Love Bites,Out In The Cold)
but they can't play everything.
I think they have a good balance of old and not so old with a couple of shock choices thrown in.
I know i will prob get slated for saying this but i was hoping Painkiller would have been left out...
Heard it toooo many times and it doesn't sound as good as it used to.
Oh and the new guy seems to fit in great! :-)
Can't wait to see em. |
