Heck, Painkiller wasnt game changing either. to get priest changing the game, head back to the 70's or maybe 80 with British steel. other than that no games were changed but they still kicked ass. heck I love AOR, but I know that by itself changed nothing. I dont see nost starting any new metal trends. I dont know if I like most of the new metal, but these "trends" sure as fuck dont come from the priest.

Completely agree. Painkiller kicked major ass. About all we old-school metal fans can want, IMO. You all know that I am a fan of Nostra but certainly don't see that spawning any new bands.
