YES THAT WAS A GREAT TOUR. I WAS AT THAT SHOW AT THE PALLADIUM AS WELL AS THE SHOWN IN ATLANTIC CITY.
I BELIEVE THEY OPENED UP WITH SOLAR ANGELS. DESERT PLAINS,HOT ROCKIN' AND HEADING OUT TO THE HIGHWAY WERE ALL PLAYED.
THE PALLADIUM WAS A GREAT PLACE TO SEE A SHOW. I REMEMBER SEEING PRIEST THEWRE WITH AC/DC AND A BAND CALLED STARS. I BELIEVE THAT WAS WHEN THEY WERE TOURING STAINED CLASS. IT MAY HAVE BEEN HELL BENT FOR LEATHER.
DEVO, PATTI SMITH, TODD RUNDGREN WERE ALSO SOME GREAT MEMORIES OF THE PALLADUIM. |

The other was in Madison Square Garden, so-so seats. Both times i believe Maiden opened up for them, turning me on to a new band at that time. Sorry i got long there, yes Point of Entry is underated to me. In 2005 i got to hear/see them (7th row, glenn's side) play Hot Rockin' live, one of my favorites. WHEN THIS ALBUM CAME OUT I WAS DEVISTATED. THE ANTICIPATION OF THE NEXT PRIEST ALBUM AFTER BRITISH STEEL WAS TREMEMDOUS. THE PROGRESSION OF EACH ALBUM PRECEEDING IT WAS FASTER, LOUDER, BIGGER SOUNDING. I WANTED TYRANTS AND SINNERS AND SAVAGES. I WANTED EVIL FANTASIES AND I GOT DON'T GO.I EXPECTED SOMETHING LIKE PAINKILLER.
WITH THAT ALL SAID THE ALBUM IS VERY UNDERRATED. IT WAS A SHOCK TO PRIEST FANS AND THE REST OF THE WORLD DIDN'T CARE OR KNOW ABOUT IT. WE DIDN'T WANT PRIEST GIVING IN TO COMMERCIALISM. NOW I LIKE THE ALBUM A LOT. DESERT PLAINS, HOT ROCKIN, SOLAR ANGELS AND OTHERS ARE SUPER SONGS. IF DEF LEPPARD PUT THIS OUT IT BE A # 1 ALBUM. ONCE SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE CAME OUT EVERYONE FORGOT ABOUT POINT OF ENTRY. BUT HEY, PRIEST VENTURED OUT TO A PLACE THEY HADN'T EXPLORED BEFORE AND ARE MORE DIVERSE TODAY FOR IT. IT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO PUT OUT AT A TIME WHEN METAL WAS AT A CROSS ROAD. |

Exactly. There are some great great songs on it.
As other forum members have said, it's sandwiched between 2 classic albums, so it's overlooked. POE is a great album in and of itself. Every song has it's own groove and the rocker's rock!
A few of my faves are:
Desert Plains
You Say Yes
Don't Go
Desert Plains
and yes...
Troubleshooter
I really like them all!!! ![](/FCKeditorNEW/editor/images/smiley/fun/halm.gif) |

Found Point of Entry a very good album and like some have already mentioned, I can't understand how some guys don't rate it. It was obviously much maligned due to the success of British Steel and it has a very commercial feel. You can imagine most tracks being released as singles, although they were not. I think it is agood rock album and has some great tracks which I still think hold their own and should not be overlooked as it is a good offering from a band that realised they needed to move on. Priest certainly came back stronger and heavier with the superb Screaming for vengeance after this which I think is a compromise of what this album did and their earlier stuff.

dude, when you meet them, you have to tell them that the REAL fans want to hear the old rare stuff.
Don't Go
Desert Plains
Stained Class
Saints In Hell
Evening Star
Before The Dawn
The Rage
Better By You, Better Than Me
Solar Angels
just because it's Priest, doesn't mean every song has to be balls out, kick you in the head tunes...
