I must say Bon ! The way his voice sounds with thier style of music fits better than Brian's. I agree with a lot of posts that the amount of time that has passed since his death lets you get used to Brian being the sound now.  I can only imagine what the Back in Black cd would have sounded like with Bon at the mic?!

strange question though

nou doubt that Bon was better and more AC/DC

but be honest

Brian do so great if you keep in mind that he had to replace an ICON

By watching clips of the early days of AC/DC and after reading the book you can tell that they are 1 of the greatest bands ever.Have to say Bon is the better front man but Brian does an awesum job aswel.

I love AC/DC, for a three cord band, they rock the house down.  I've had the opportunity to see them in concert all most as many times as I've seen Priest (8x's) and I walk out exhausted because I've had such a great time.  I never saw Bon Scott, and I wish to god I could have, his energy and sly sense of humor he had both on and off stage from what I've seen in videos made him a great entertainer.  Brian was the best person to replace Bon when he past on, but his personality doesn't match, nor should we expect it too.  I'd have to say Bon was the better of the two, but Brian sure rocks the house too.

Both are great, but the music made with Bon makes me rock more.

I am an old school girl, but since Bon passed so many years ago, (I wore a black shirt with his name spray painted on it to school in mourning of him), I have become, over the years, more accustomed to Brian being the lead man. He is more powerfull he just does not have the persona that Bon had and that is what made Bon so hard to replace.
We are going on 29 years without Bon and don't forget although Highway to Hell was very successfull it did not outdo Back in Black.

i agree with u on that one, hellrazor. i think brian does good on his own songs, and i like to hear him sing the back in black album. but when you hear him trying to sing 'TNT' or 'dirty deeds' it's just not the same. he does OKAY on highway to hell, but thats about it. i prefer to hear bon anyday.

BON  RIP

I think this one is obvious.

It's gotta be Bon Scott by a mile.

Brians ok but i think things went downhill after Back in Black.

I still listen to the other stuff but it a'int a patch on Powerage or Highway to Hell or If you want Blood.

Wow....that's a toughie....honestly.     AC/DC are one of a precious few bands that have had to replace a well-loved vocalist with another, and managed to find equal, if not greater success for having done so (let's face facts here folks...Bon would've wanted it that way for the band...AC/DC was just as much HIS baby as it was for the brothers Young).     Brian Johnson came along at a very crucial time, delivered the best vocals he felt he could for the  "Back in Black"  album,  and spent time afterwards  pondering whether or not he overdid it...or, worse yet..blew  it somehow!!      When he finally got word that he made it,  a new chapter for AC/DC began, and it hasn't slowed or suffered much at all since!

No fan of AC/DC will ever overlook, deny, or question the credibility of Bon's time with the band.     Too many great, straightforward albums, and a great many classic songs that we still hear to this day...proof that Bon hadn't died in vain (in spite of his tragically young age/circumstances),  and  Brian picked up the 'reins'  and gave those classic songs the respect and energy needed....Bon would be MOST proud, and I'm sure for wherever it is from Home he resides,  that pride is evident and prevalent as he looks upon them and the incredible legacy AC/DC enjoy.

Having said as such....I simply cannot choose.     Bon may have been THE original spirit,  but Brian infused his own while keeping the integrity of original said spirit alive for new and old fans alike.

Difficult. But I would say Bon. Rest In Peace and sing something for us when we come visit you in heaven. You've missed the highway, right?
