Funny thing though, regardless of the formal titles, Rob has already introduced Death as Messenger Of Death, and reffered to Judas Rising as Judas Is Rising on the Angel Of Retribution tour, which I think is a more effective way of introducing them. However, I prefer the way the songs are formally titled on the albums.

I think these short names give the album more 'opera'-like feel. The names of the plays are often short, just single word... Persecution, War, Death, Alone.... Prophecy... it gives the album a feel like if it was a play and the song titles were names of the acts... and I believe that's exactly what they wanted it to sound like.

That is kind of funny.  However, to be serious...I agree with Judas-Is-Rising's assessment of the titles.  It's different from typical Priest song title naming, without being obscure or cliche`.

Before I listened to the album I thought JP had taken a poster of a metal festival somewhere.

Bands:

Prophecy
War
Death
Persecution
Exiled
Pestilence

Funny

The new song titles surprise me to say the very least. It's a very different approach for 'Priest to name majority of the songs on an album with single worded titles. Especially considering that some of the titles are single words picked out from within a catchy phrase. If I'd been put to listen to the songs without knowing the titles, I would have thought the songs War, Death, Conquest, Persecution and Visions to be Gods Of War, Messenger Of Death, Conquest And Fire, Under The Hand Of Persecution and Visions In The Night. However, I really appreciate 'Priests new approach for these titles and feel that their minimalist approach on the titles (Whilst maintaining the vintage 'Priest formula for majority of the titles of introductory pieces) made each song stand out more conceptual and individual, simply great.
