i would love to see Priest begin releasing archival live shows a'la the grateful dead
like the april '84 long beach show from the defenders tourit was an FM broadcast and good copies are available
it would be great to have live releases from every tour

I've noticed that the three Gull LPs (Rocka Rolla, Sad Wings and Hero Hero) have been reissued on 180gm audiophile vinyl, as has British Steel. Does anyone know anything about the rest of the catalog? Are there any plans to reissue deluxe vinyl versions of the albums, like Metallica has just done? Can you just imagine how awesome a 180gm, 45rpm double LP of Screaming for Vengeance would sound????

I hope some day that there will be an LP of Angel of Retribution available as well ... it seems it hasn;t been done anywhere in the world :-(

The remasters CDs were all awesome - loved the box n booklet it came with... although I wasn't too stoked about most of the Bonus tracks.... some were cool but the bulk of it was left off the original albums for a damned good reason!

What I'd like to see reissued are the 12-inch singles - like Living After Midnight (which had a live in Japan version of Evil Fantasies), or the bonus "Unleashed" single (which had Beyond The Realms of Death) - none of these tracks are available on official JP cds. These tracks would have made very welcome additions on the remasters set.

Hi.
Why do you think so? I've got them all, the originals and the Re-Masters. And of course there's a difference in the sounds between the originals and the Re-Masters. I qoute for an example: "Screaming for vengeance". The sound of the original is really good, a little bit "thin" but good. The sound of the Re-Master is more Powerful. There's more pressure. And you can hear it. The depth of "Fever" is briliant. You can hear all the difference in the sounds by all the Re-Masters. If you can get it hear the original of  "Ram it down" and then the Re-Master. You don't tell this anymore.

Bye. Michael

I don't have the old Albums in original so I can't tell about the original sound but the Remaster of Ram It Down doesn't sound like a Remaster. It's such a bad sound. Maybe they took the originals for the remasters else.
