I eat my words

I just saw them here in Sydney. It was probably the lack of Death and Sinner in Toronto that conflicted me. Sydney show was great, the 2 songs were included. I understand now the purpose of the setlist. Rock on Priest! This is a great year for yuo, may next year be even greater

Right on Deliver Of Evil. That's my take on it. I'm never a type to hate anything unless it really does suck, so I try to look at it from a positive point of view as much as possible. What does greatly interest me is Devil's Child, Death, Angel, Rock Hard Ride Free, Sinner and Painkiller. I guess in the end it's a win for me when they play the entire album live. That I am most certainly excited about.

I get your point Angry Rocker... But you've got to see that there are some really good sides to that setlist. How long has it been since they had played Rock Hard, Ride Free or Devil's Child?

Sure, the overall setlist isn't the most perfect of jewels to do... But it's a... one and a half hour concert (correct me if I'm wrong though)

In the end, what matters is: It's Judas Priest!

No problem Angry Rocker, believe me there are many songs I would love to hear but it is impossible to play for hours on end - LOL!

Hahaha I know, I wrote the setlist I would have favoured based on the one we have. I guess to me the lack of Judas Rising, One Shot At Glory and Nostradamus (which all three qualify as metal monsters just like Painkiller) really makes all the difference to me I hope it doesn't sound like bitching from me. I've made a huge effort to try and love the setlist but it's not working too well for me. Who knows, maybe it's just my opinion solely.  [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Jeanine from Tuesday, September 02, 2008 10:15:45 PM)

That pretty much is the setlist.  Only they played Prophecy instead of Judas Rising and they did not do One Shot at Glory.  Oh, and no Nostradamus.

I have to pretty boldly say that the Priest Feast tour setlist really conflicts me. By no means does that mean it's a bad setlist, but it strikes me to think "What are they touring?". I mean....it doesn't fit for an album tour setlist, it doesn't fit for a definitive setlist, or even less so for a fan favourite setlist. This thought came when I first read the list of the first show of the tour, and conflicted me even further when I did see them in Toronto. I would rest assured it is the management that called this because I don't believe the Priest quintet would be silly to put together such a list. I guess personally I find the list lacks character, there's good songs on there, but nothing too striking besides the obvious Breaking The Law, Sinner and Painkiller. I remember Priest saying a long time ago they wanted to make sometime an ultimate Priest power album, well why not a Priest power setlist? I would have really enjoyed so much more if they had inserted some true monster metal songs like One Shot At Glory (It was voted as fan favourite number one or two!!!), Nostradamus (Best way to showcase the new album before playing it all live!!!) and of course Judas Rising (Hey, it's got all the attributes of a true Priest song). I like that there is Sinner, and Angel finally replacing Diamonds And Rust. But the band's management should really take a better approach on the matter. I would think a setlist like this would've done it much better for the fans:

Judas Rising
Metal Gods
Eat Me Alive
Battle Hymn / One Shot At Glory
Devil's Child
Breaking The Law
Death
Dissident Aggressor
Angel
The Hellion / Electric Eye
Rock Hard, Ride Free
Sinner
Nostradamus
Painkiller
Hell Bent For Leather
The Green Manalishi (With The Two-Pronged Crown)
You've Got Another Thing Comin'
