BC/Alberta Unite!

Tix to Kiwi-land are on sale for $1500!
That's a great deal, and we can all stay at JimmyJames place.  He's on the site and lives in Wellington -- right, smack dab in the middle of the islands!  It's perfect.  We could borrow his car too, do some sight-seeing...  I'm sure he won't mind!  ...

Jimmy?  Ji-mmm-yyy!?

You are a sly one...  Very cunning.  Ever think of going into politics?  lol...
As for behaving myself...
  I don't see why I should ...
... because I don't much care for soup,
 thank-you very much!

  ... what?  Oh yeah....
BC not only means "Bring Cash" ... it also means "Bitchin' Cannabis"!

LOL ... I'll give you folks that much...

Geez, those signs going up everywhere?  Looks like the BC govt. has just stepped up misleading their own province to misleading the whole freakin' world.  Ouch.  (Yeah, the scenery in Grande Prairie would bum anyone out so can't blame you!)

As far as the Olympics go...  I really hope you guys don't get saddled with the cost of the whole boon-doggle.  I volunteered for the '88 Winter Olympics here in Calgary, when I lived in Banff.  They were a huge success.  After that, most of us Banff-ites hit Whistler because our little town became unrecognizable afterwards (then look what happened to Whistler!  lol).  Anyway, we all worked the Husky & Molson World-Cup Downhills and now those guys actually travel all over the place doing the timing and gates for all races, including the Olympics...

While they are excited about the prospect of the 2010 Olympics, they are more concerned over logistics of travel and the freakin' weather!  God only knows why they are having the Olympics there.  The World Cup cancelled all Men's downhill held there in February after years of  "no snow", "too much rain", "too foggy", and even "too much snow!"  And guess what month the Olympics is in...?  Yep, February.  OMG...

Hang in there & Good Luck with that...  (BTW, are you a Vancouverite from birth?  I barely survived that city, but lived longer on the island.  "Hippie central...")

New Zealand is beautiful, quiet and unspoiled in many ways -- and the people are so laid back...  But you know what?  The Yukon & Alaska are gorgeous too, and they are in our own backyard!
You have to get out more, dude!
(Do you get to Calgary at all?  We are kind of nearby...)

I know its all in good fun, and its not the lincense plates i was talking about, thats the pitch the bc goverment has been putting on every sign on every highway in the province. BC The most beautiful place in the world, seriously not joking. And i cant really agree to it because i havent been off of the North American continent, so i couldnt say. I lived in Grande Praire for a few months, and the scenery seriously bummed me out, but hey it is the richest province in Canada, but we're the richest in .... umm aaaa well... pot....hahahaha thats something to be proud of i guess. I was was born in BC and i like it so, like i said to each there own. I really want to check out New Zeland through, ive heard its a really beautiful place.
[Head banger] Monday, October 06, 2008 1:40:26 PM

Oh crap...
I knew there'd be fall-out from that joke ... lol!

I used to live there, so it's an informed opinion.  And, we're not exactly "barren wheat-filled wastelands" either (very good, btw - lol!), we have barren OIL-filled wastelands too!  Yeah, it's crappy to have fields full of money and food...

But, ever been to the Rockies?  We have mountains over there to the west somewhere...  Champagne snow to ski in...

Regardless, I believe the licence plates read "Beautiful BC" ...  *not* the most beautiful place in the world.  (lol)  Saying that is pushing it just a wee bit, my friend...

I would have to say my home of New Zealand is one of those beautiful places in the world, and it has BC beat in spades.  Besides, BC will only be half as beautiful when it all falls into the ocean during the next earthquake that everyone denies is ever going to happen over there in "La-la Land..."

All in good fun.  Provincial rivalry is nothing new...
No offence intended.

Ha fat chance, if you'd rather live in a barren wheat filled wasteland than BC than hey thats your choice. Alberta over BC HA! what a joke, to each there own i guess, but the road signs dont say  "BC the most beautiful place on earth" for nothing!
[WhiskeyWoman] Sunday, October 05, 2008 11:45:18 PM
Oops!  Sorry dude ... but I was trying to be nice about BC and "yuck" was the best I could do.
Hmmm.... trying to think of something good ...

Nope, can't do it.
You'll just have to move.
