This should probably go in the Confessional thread too, but Judas Priest were the only Heavy Metal band that I was listening to before joining Judaspriest.com. Not because I didn't want to hear any other metal band, but because I was a bit ignorant about many other bands of this form existing other than Iron Maiden and Metallica (and that's only from reading the names on the band shirts). Plus, no one else in my family listened to metal, so I was alone in my little obsession!! When I signed up here, I was looking at all of the Top Ten Favorite Bands threads, and thought "So this is what other Priest fans listen to, other than Judas Priest." So, because of those threads, I am now into Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Motörhead, Megadeth, Queensrÿche, Iron Maiden, and Ozzy Osbourne. I know there are so many other Heavy Metal bands out there, but I'm taking it all in little by little.

Savatage was a good band,they pull off the whole concept album thing. Not many bands have done that.

I saw JP with Heaven N Hell--Testament-- & Motorhead--I didn't care for Testament--I couldn't understand a word he was screaming but I was blown away by Motorhead & Heaven N Hell
Dime got me into Buckethead & I hear all this talk about Racer X so that;ll be the next band I check out |

| I got into Saxon as they're similar. Dangerous Toys took my interest when I saw them on the setlist for the Operation Rock & Roll tour in '91 with Judas Priest and thought I'd look at them, it amazed me. Additionally, Motorhead I got more interest in after Judas Priest. |

| Anyone have any bands they heard from taking someones advice on here? I heard alot of people talking about Racer X, and after downloading some songs I've become a pretty big fan.I know I've been trying to get people to hear buckethead, but anyone else hear a good band you want people to check out, or a band you've gotten into because of this website? |
