Painkiller
Exciter
Sinner
Judas Rising
Hellrider
Nostradamus
The Senteniel
Screaming 4 Vengence
Cathedral Spires

Any of them would do.

Interestingly, some of the older songs aren't metal monsters in studio versions, but live they kickass and are truly metal monsters. Like Exciter and Rapid Fire. When I say Monster Metal song I mean that it has an intense sound. Victim Of Changes in studio isn't but it sure as hell is when it's live.

"Painkiller" tops my list.

Rippers Cool.  I like Rippers Voice in other bands.   He is a regular Dude with a killer screaming voice. Saw him with Yngwie 10/9.  I would not have been happy with any other vocalist. Ripper was Cool
dealing with Yngwie and the crowd. We look at each other and said "Hell YeS"!!!  Killer show. I was Horse for a week, and that was after an yngwie show.   WHAT!!!!
For Preist We Know the Metal Gods.

I came on board during the Defenders of the Faith tour, but have since accumulated their entire discography with Rob. (No offence to the Ripper era, it just wasn't the same without Rob, but I did like Hell Is Home.) Anyway, my monster metal faves from Priest: Persecution, Death, Some Heads Are Gonna Roll, Dissident Aggressor, Hell Patrol, Rapid Fire....Well..the list goes on. Lotsa monster metal songs to be found! Something for everyone. (An aside, another amazing MONSTER song, Silent Screams, from Halford.)

well, the boys shouldnt have to sit on their hands wondering if Rob would ever come back.  realy the band was as much theirs as his.  (not like GNR, oops never mind).  if Tim was the right guy or not, I dunno, who knows how the other choices would have worked out.

Painkiller: It was the first ever Priest song I was introduced to. I was around 10 years old at the time and hearing that song changed my life and turned me into a devoted Priest fan right from the first time I heard it. It'll always remain my favourite song because of what it brought to my life.

Lol I should mentioned only the Rob, KK, Glenn, Ian, Scott lineup. Ripper never fit in with Priest. I never liked him and can't see why he was picked as a replacement, or why they even went on without Rob.

The one that does it for me every time is BURN IN HELL! It kicks my ass so much in to gear that it surprises me every time ...
2nd has to be PAINKILLER and then the list is eternal ... almost ...

Brian was right in a way, it was just his attitude that stunk. What I meant was just heavy, brutal songs from priest. I dunno exactly. I actually admire Stained Class album as a whole, but just songs like Painkiller do it for me more. Surprisingly, heavy metal isn't my favourite...I'm more a hard rock fan. Judas Priest never made any hard rock songs. The closest they came to that was with songs like Devil's Child and Wheels Of Fire.

Hey Brian! Mellow out dude! Obviously he`s a relatively new Priest follower if he`s quoting Painkiller, Angel of Retribution and Nostrodamus! We`ve all got to start somewhere man! Personally speaking I think Tyrant,Sentinel,Exciter and Dissident Aggressor are definitely up there! Peace brother!

Dude, you got some serious anger problems there, you really could use some professional helpI was just saying that Priest went in a heavier exactly to create the kinda songs I mentioned in the list below. Of course they are about Victim Of Changes, Tyrant, Heading Out To The Highway and Jawbreaker kinda stuff if you ask, but their most defined works since '89 (excluding Ripper era) are the kinda songs I mentioned below.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by brian dawe from Monday, October 27, 2008 10:36:00 AM)

Let's take a look back at what Judas Priest are truely about....monster metal songs, intense or doomy, and often prolonged. They moved in this direction in '89 and this is their true colours. Which of the following songs do you deem as your favourite Priest Metal Monster and why? Mine would have to be 3 songs, which are Painkiller, Judas Rising and One Shot At Glory. Painkiller because of its all out balls to the walls intensity and screams and above all the all out assault by Scott's drumming, Judas Rising because of its constant double bass, razor sharp guitars and amazing solo and great dynamic in speed...it's like you're throttling forward full speed and yet so slow. One Shot At Glory because its sound is a more laidback version of Painkiller, with an amazing range of voices by Rob, one of the greatest solos and some very diverse drumming. Anyways, this is the list of all the monster metal songs that Priest have made since they geared up in '89, choose yours.

Painkiller
Leather Rebel
Metal Meltdown
Night Crawler
One Shot At Glory
Judas Rising
Hellrider
Lochness
Death
Nostradamus
