The problem with Metallica is that the guys in the band think they are more talented than they are, the fact that their music has become irrelevant over the last 15 years proves it. They've run out of ideas, now they just do Metallica by the numbers. also their egos have gotten out of control. Ulrich was always a prick and hasn't changed but Hetfield is the one whose ego has blown way out of proportion to his talent. No wonder Jason Newsted left the band, must be torture hanging around with a couple of asswipes like that.

Feel like listening to some of their classic material now......

Yeah your probably right but I fuckin' hate 'Enter Sandman"!! I don't like 'Sad But True" either, but I could of lived with that...but not Enter Sandman!
Now that set list you have right now would be an "elite" Metallica set list for sure. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by jimmyjames from Friday, June 26, 2009 5:39:15 PM)

Yeah thought about that but I do like Sad But True and Enter Sandman, whether we like it or not, is a Metallica staple. Metallica brought out a box set years ago called Binge and Purge, contained 3 cds and 3 video tapes. One of the Video tapes was of a concert on the Justice tour, just an awesome show. Setlist is.....
1) Blackened
2) For Whom The Bell Tolls
3) Sanitarium
4) The Thing That Should Not Be
5) Bass Solo
6) Master Of Puppets
7) Fade To Black
8) Seek And Destroy
9) And Justice For All
10) One
11) Creeping Death
12) Guitar Solo
13) Battery
14) Last Caress
15) Am I Evil
16) Whiplash
17) Breadfan
Would have been one of the great metal tours when Metallica toured Justice.

You are so right JJ--I feel they *lost * it when they changed their image --cut their hair ect
they just weren't the same--changing you look should have no effect on the music---( Rob is bald now but he still sounds better than ever)--thye started out good & lost a lot of steam these past years [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by jimmyjames from Friday, June 26, 2009 5:51:18 AM)
