A great shame they will not be playing the full Nostradamus album. The time and costing to put on a big production will be massive.I am not sure about ticket sales too, only hardcore Priest fans would want this.I went to the Iron Maiden A Matter Of Life And Death concert and fell asleep.

To play the  full British Steel album will be great live, but please not another arena tour please.

Hope the Planet Rock news message is only a rumour.       .

anyone know if theyre coming to europe do do some dates with that show?

But I want more Nostradamus, the nostradamus material they did live in stockholm 3 weeks ago was very solid! I even found myself liking those parts a bit better than some other stuff, which was a suprise...I like the album alot - but its way cooler live.

I TOO HAD HEARD THOSE REPORTS,BUT WE'LL PROBABLY GET MAYBE A LITTLE MORE NOSTRADAMUS SPRINKLED IN THIS TIME AROUND...HOWEVER THE BRITISH STEEL 30 ANN. TOUR IS A MUCH BETTER CONCEPT ...MANY OF US LONG SERVING WORSHIPPERS OF THE PRIEST (AND THE MORE RECENT), I'M SURE WOULD SAY THE ALBUM THAT TRULY DEFINES J.P. IS IN FACT "BRITISH STEEL"...AND THE WHOLE IDEA OF THE ALBUM BEING PLAYED IN IT'S ENTIRETY WILL BE A SMASHING SUCCESS I AM SURE...THIS KIND OF TOUR,WITH THAT KIND OF TITLE,WILL SELL ITSELF TO THE LEGIONS OF PRIEST FAITHFUL WORLDWIDE...
THE LAST TIME I ATTENDED A SHOW AND LISTENED TO A RELEASE PLAYED IN ORDER,AND IN IT'S ENTIRETY,WAS PINK FLOYD "THE WALL"...ALMOST THE SAME TIME "BRITISH STEEL" WAS RELEASED,SO THIS WILL BE ENJOYABLE.

Anyone have any idea about timings for the tour? Having been at the original British Steel tour for a few dates in northern England I  badly need to repeat it. Two dates of Priest Feast just wasn't enough!

Here ya GO..................................

British heavy metal legends JUDAS PRIEST will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their classic 1980 album "British Steel" by embarking on a special tour next year featuring a performance of that LP in its entirety. This information was revealed by the band's guitarists, K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton, during an interview they gave to the Spanish web site Rafabasa.com yesterday (Sunday, March 15) prior to the Madrid concert on JUDAS PRIEST's "Priest Feast" tour. In addition, Tipton told Rafabasa.com that a planned "Nostradamus" tour with material exclusively from that album (featuring a full theatrical production) will now likely be postponed until a later date.

JUDAS PRIEST has announced the following U.S. dates:

Jul. 01 - The Family Arena - St. Charles, MO
Jul. 02 - Summerfest, Harley Davidson Stage - Milwaukee, WI
Jul. 03 - Taste Of Minnesota at Harriet Island - St. Paul, MN
Jul. 09 - Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto, ON
Jul. 11 - PNC Banks Arts Center - Holmdel, NJ
Jul. 12 - Nikon At Jones Beach Theater - Wantagh, NY
Jul. 17 - Moondance Jam 18 - Walker, MN
Jul. 18 - Rockfest/Chippewa Valley Music - Cadott, WI
Aug. 02 - Gibson Amphitheatre - Universal City, CA

More shows will be announced soon.

PRIEST competed last month for a Grammy Award in the "Hard Rock" category for "Visions" and "Metal" category for "Nostradamus", a pair of tunes from the band's 16th studio album, "Nostradamus".

According to Reuters/Billboard, JUDAS PRIEST's Sony BMG label puts sales of "Nostradamus" at 500,000 units worldwide; that includes 100,000 logged by Nielsen SoundScan in the United States.

Does anyone know if there is any truth in the recent UK Classic Rock Mag article that the boys are doing a tour next year to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of British Steel Album ?  Classic Rock also reckon that if this happens the talked about/planning of a Nostradamus show will be abandoned.  Is it a rumour.....................
