MetalPixie, I was at the Summerfest and Chicago shows too. My 17 year old son was there too but he was out and about with friends. Cool that your son had a blast (you too!). [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by MetalPixie from Sunday, August 30, 2009 8:06:29 PM)

Took my 13-year old son to his FIRST Priest concert at Summerfest in Milwaukee this year!
His reaction was PRICELESS!
Loved that they played "You Don't Have to Be Old to Be Wise" ... totally awesome tune.
Took another friend to Chicago a couple of weeks later (for adult enjoyment of the show ... ahem ...)
What a blast!!!!
I f I could figure out how to see EVERY show on EVERY tour and still keep my house, car, job, and other activities going -
I'd be there!!!
Anyone seen the tour schedule for Japan?
Haven't spotted it on the website yet.
(Not cuz I'm going - just cuz I'm curious!!)

I saw them when they came through St. Charles MO for the 30th aniversary British Steel Tour. Its the first show I've seen, and it was amazing. The playlist was really good, and Rock Hard Ride Free was tight. That's one of my favorite songs by them, and i was pleasently suprised to hear it on their playlist. I wish they had done "A Touch Of Evil" though..... I figure going back to Electric on Diamonds and Rust was a really good move, and Victim of Changes got me PUMPED! Great show, great band.

my brother and i went to the show in columbia md. wow....this is my fourth priest concert and they still kick ass. my brother doesn't go to alot of shows. when we left he asked me if it was normal for a band to sound better live? it was very cool to see them play british steel. the rage and steeler where my second favorite moment. the first was when rob pointed to the banner and explained how the union jack and the stars and stripes blend together on the banner....united in peace united in war, he then gave our deployed troops a shout out. i came home from iraq in february, that message meant alot to me coming from my favorite singer. it wasn't a political statement, just a statement of support, i thought it rocked.

This is the first time I've posted here, so still trying to get used to how things work on this site. I've been a Priest fan since '75 & first concert was '82. I thought the Tampa show was amazing. They sounded good in Vegas last year, but this show just blew me away. Diamonds & Rust was the only song I don't think Rob gave 110% vocally. Victim of Changes & The Rage are 2 songs I really wanted to hear & both were spot on. Not trying to be mean, but it is so hot & humid in Tampa. I certainly wouldn't have a lot of energy dressed like they do - I would probably have a heat stroke wearing that heavy material & being under those hot lights. They still rock it harder than most people half their age! [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by tshoffie from Sunday, August 16, 2009 11:16:39 PM)

! I feel exactly the same way! I feel fortunate to be able to see them still kicking ass after all these years. I am taking in every single second that I can and treasuring every moment. They are one of a kind and no other band will ever take their place in my heart.
No hate just confused. Thanks for being so open with your opinion. I'd rather have people sharing honestly than trying to conceal messages with hidden agendas. My experience has been a great one, never being dissatisfied with anything Judas Priest has done. I guess it's because once I became a fan (in 1980) I have always accepted them as my favorite metal band and, therefore, left my expectations at the realistic level. Priest has never let me down and I have always felt "privileged" to get to see them...then and now. I'm almost 50 years old, am younger than they are and can't imagine trying to tour at my age. My hat is off to them and the countless other bands that perform so intensely as Priest. I appreciate their fortitude and desire to continue to bring the best heavy metal in the world to the best fans in the universe. Just my opinion!

Don't think it has been posted here yet but I am SO glad that Glenn hasn't broken up Victim on this tour with his solo.
There were comments before on how it "slowed up" the set during Metal Masters. I am glad to have seen them both but prefer the current rendition. The echo effects are just frosting on the cake. Outstanding!

Priest has opened up with the same song on this tour. Rapid Fire. They are doing the whole British Steel album. After they have completed the whole album they play (not in any particular order) Diamonds and Rust, Ripper, Victim Of Changes, Hellpatrol, Another Thing Coming and Prophecy. I'm probably leaving a song or to out.
