I love Nos. though I dont listen to it enough. I quit listening to it about Oct. of last year. One day I'll get back to it, as I am a serial listener. LOL That scream machine song does not cut it at all.
Although I wish the best for Tim, why has Tim not settled into a band and STAYED there since spliting with JP? My opinion is he just does not have the refined talent to stay with a band. Hope I'm wrong and he finally finds his niche, but untill he does, he so far has not made a true fit. Hope it happens for him. Hope to buy and appriciate his own music someday, but he does not write well.
So much more to being a singer than just hitting notes. MANY a singer have fallen by the wayside irrespective of their ability to do so.
Nothing just drove hit home more than listening to Sin after Sin last night. Sums it up for ALL albums for me. Yes, including Nostra which I also love. | ![](1.gif) | spapad wrote: | | Yes you are just feeding the flames to some shitdisturber, and right now, I guess I am too simply by posting.
He's certainly not worth it. I almost fainted the first time he made a post not mentioning Tim's name.
He won't change and we wont change. He will always get on our nerves, but perhaps if we just ignore his foolishness he will quit, or perhaps develop a real personality not based on being a dissenter and a shitdisturber. Sadly, I don't see that happening. | ![](1.gif) | guidogodoy wrote: | | I know I am just feeding the flames to some shitdisturber with deaf ears on this one but I simply cannot stop myself. Hellrider is right. I just listened to this whole vid. While I like Beyond Fear (and ANYTHING Tim does to get out from JP / Iced Earth backup singer), I find this song to be mediocre at best. Lyrics are weak, tune is weak. He is so easy to predict vocally it isn't funny. Really grating to MY ears. No need to even comment that he moves about the stage like someone warming up for Ultimate Fighting.
While cranking out a 7 mile run yesterday, I had on Sin after Sin. Compare Owens to Halford in, say, "Here Comes the Tears." Not metal for metal, of course, but lyrics and, even more EMOTION! Owens couldn't handle that range on his best day. Low to those piercing highs and a lead-in to "Dissident Agressor?!"
Halford is operatic. You'd be (and in many opinions ARE) a fool to think otherwise. ![](/FCKeditorNEW/editor/images/smiley/fun/priestlogo.jpg) |
