I'm of the opinion to enjoy them while you've got 'em, you never know when the last time will be...enjoy

Never a huge Whitesnake fan, I walked around checking out the Detroit crowd the entire set. I have NO confirmation that PopWeavel even played there. However, I feel I got all I could have expected. I flew in from TN, met a good friend and saw an outstanding performance from Priest. Flew home and saw them again!

Sorry you feel "ripped off" and we are all entitled to our own opinion. In mine, I got more than my money's worth.

LOL

While I can almost see where you would maybe feel "ripped", I considered myself lucky last year when I saw only 'Priest in Vegas for the same price as someone who endured the entier MetalMasters lineup - a great lineup btw!  But that's just me ; )

PopEvil played a 30 min set, when I saw them in San Antonio / Corpus Christi; Whitesnake played about the same, maybe 45 min if you strip away all the guitar and drum solos (think David was experiencing issues even then (shrug)); 'Priest played from just past 9 until going on 11 ... by my thinking that's 3 times as long as the others, without putting a clock on it!

In every sense, I got my money's worth!  I'm sorry you feel ripped.  I don't agree is all ; )

3 times as long???

How do you figure?
They're playing someting like an hour and fifteen minutes, or so...

I was going to see Whitesnake, and Priest....

Now it seems popweasle is playing almost as long as Priest.
Priest was playing a short set because they're were three bands, and they have time limits on weekday shows at most venues.
Now they have an hour, or so to fill, and they gave it to the suck ass oprening band.

I feel ripped.....

Who are you going to see? Pop goes the Weasel or Judas Priest? Who really cares about a back-up band. Just gives you more time to walk around and check everything out and buy stuff.

Flame me if you want, but the guys already play 3 times as long as the opening acts!  What more do you want for your money?!
I honestly don't know how they could possibly please every fan request that comes by.  For heaven's sake get a grip!!!

Oh that's just great. Now i have to listen to some shit band i didn't pay to see for an hour, instead of 30 mins....
They could  easily replace Whitesnake with another old school band, or better yet step-up and play a full set.
Way to stick it to the fans guys.

To answer your question tasnam1, the set list is the exact same one they have been playing for a month or so. They didn't add any extra songs, bummer, since Whitesnake canceled. Pop Evil played about an hour instead of 30 minutes. Guidogodov where did you get the video? Did you record it yourself? I would love to see it. Please let me know where I could see it. Thanks

Not being from TX, is this the show to which you refer? ==>NOKIA LIVE THEATER/ GRAND PRAIRIE, TX

If so, I have the bootleg audio. It is the EXACT same setlist as has been posted many a time on this board. Hell Patrol, no RHRF. Just like most concerts, IOW. No new songs.

Why is it we cannot get ONE person to just post some of the set list?

Do the people reading this board who went to the show have no interest in sharing as well have all done about shows?

Did Priest add any songs to their set?

I was there also. I drove down from OKC to see them again (went to the San Antonio show a few weeks back) and as always they were awesome! I thought the Dallas show was much better than the San Antonio show. San Antonio was loud enough and I thought it wasn't mixed right. Don't get me wrong they were really good it's just that Dallas was much better. I do wish Whitesnake was in Dallas cuz I had much better seats, 8th row on KK's side. Like I said typical Priest just AWESOME!!

In one word...Awesome. I saw them back in 2004 and thought that they were great, but this was even better. The energy of the band to me has never seemed higher. Awesome show. I am probably the biggest critic to what people think is good music, when it pertains to new bands and songs. There were alot of people bashing PopEvil. That worried me. It brought back memories of the Push Monkeys, who opened up for Kiss' reunion tour a decade ago or so. Push Monkeys were the apex of awful. But i enjoyed PopEvil very much. I knew none of their songs, but thought that they did a more than admiral job playing in front of a crowd slobbering at the gums waiting on JP. I really wished Whitesnake would have been there. There were a couple of songs off the Slide it In album I would have liked to hear. Especially with Red Beach playing. I took my 15 yr. old with me. It was his first concert and he was utterly stunned by their performance and sound. Again it was AWESOME. Come on JP put out a live Dallas DVD.  In 4 more years it will be the 30th anniversary of Screaming for Vengance. I cannot wait. We can only hope. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME show
