I think Refuge Denied was produced by Terry Date

Dave Mustaine played lead guitar on White Rabbit ,and may have did production on that track

both Sanctuary albums were pretty good stuff, with Into the Mirror Black being the closest to what Nevermore does these days

Back in '88 I was at my local record store one day ,   I made my selections and paid for them and when I turned to leave  the clerk said " stick around Sanctuary is coming they're going to do a meet and greet"    I had'nt heard of them yet and left !!!  Then a couple of weeks later a buddy played refuge denied for me . I wish i would have stuck around for that meet and greet but , we learn from our mistakes

Heh, yep.  All work over here lately.  What is up in Canada?  A commercial brought me over here, believe it or not-Halford reading from a bible-LOL!  Have you seen that Virgin Mobile commercial?  Don't think he's in it for more than a second, but confirmed by the www.

This band I could not get enough of back in high school (wasn't so long ago for me).  Refuge Denied was crack to my ears and rotated between Helstar's Nosferatu, Savatage's Hall of the Mountain King and Vicious Rumors' Welcome to the Ball.  Though I don't appreciate Refuge Denied as much as I do the latter three these days, their later album Into the Mirror Black has held up better, IMO at least.  I still listen to that one occasionally.

Music was just cut -rate liquor store cheap and the vocals, useless, listen to the screams, that is not screams when you all that comes out of your mouth is Ahhhhh1 Listen to Rob, he knows how to scream, I can`t believe that is even in question that this band is anywhere near the Priest!!??

It's alright. Not really anything that stands out to me, just a decent power metal band.

I tried to get into Sanctuary back in the 80's and they did nothing for me. I put them in that "I bought the tape, listened to it several times, and didn't care" catagory, along with Meliah Rage and Wrathchild America.

Yeah Sanctuary from Seattle, what ruins this album for me is the stupid cover version of "White Rabit" from Jefferson Airplane/Starship...it is freaking LAME and it ruins the entire LP for me,just that one song does. They fucked up what would of been a decent album.

It's about time we had a thread devoted to the band Sanctuary. Because if we didn't no-one would have ever heard of them.
