I'm looking forward to the inevitable North American tour. I saw Iron Maiden 3 times last year, and can't wait to do the same with Priest.

No festivals here either. Used to be this thing called the Big Day Out that happened every January, but last year was the last one in NZ (continuing in Australia though). People just couldn't afford the cost of tix and to travel etc. Plus their lineups turned mega shit!

well, there are not normaly any festivals withing 1700 km of me. Ozzy did one here a few years ago that priest was second on the bill for, but that was suposed to be anual, and never came back. I guess if Priest comes to Finland at all, it'll be again at the Sauna Open Air Festival in Tampere, which is about 170km from where I live. Which is not too bad, as I can still get home during the same night. Any farther than that and I most likely have to skip it though - hotels are too expensive for my budget.

they are doing very little if any live shows going forward. there is no way a one off nost show pays with all the orchestra and all that crap they would need. no tour, maybe a festival or two, but I havent seen them in any festival lineups so far. Most likely unless they bother to put out a new album, which no one has heard shit about in months they are done. |

I bought two of the delux copies (I think that's what they were called, something like that ) and was pretty disappointed. Easy rock about sums it up with a couple of heavy songs. Hope the next one is better if it happens. I don't think the Nostradamus album was successful enough for a tour, I may be wrong though.

Well there are two things Priest could do with the new album and that's make it totally different and continue experimenting or they could make it classic priest. I think coming from Glenn Tipton he said something like "The fans thought Nostradamus was too experimental so we would try not to experiment for the new album."
Judging by that the new album will probably be classic and basic Priest. I'm pretty sure they've finished 3 or 2 songs, Never Forgot and Metalizer.
From the name of the titles, Never Forget it seems like a sing-a-long song and Metalizer, maybe something sounding like Demonizer, anything with a bad ass tune. But that's just me maybe other people would make more sense with their predictions. |

Priest always do something incredible, impressive. i think their next album would be unusual 'cause British Steel, Painkiller, Nostradamus are the world's most and best hard rock and heavy metal Armaggedon album's. Maybe the next metal work won't be like these( last two) but anyway it would be classic rock/metal album. This band don't have a bad tours or works. No, never. I've never seen this. If they do something, they do it well! |
