Well, they can't make an album w/o Downing. I know that much. He didn't like the management? The band should ask Faulkner to participate in songwriting but step aside for the good of the band (and play some rhythm guitar on tour). And Faulkner can take solos in concert on the songs he helps to write.

I know, Kenny had problems with the management and Judas Priest needed the fresh blood of Faulkner to create a new style for their new and hard album, it will be a surprise but what said Rob? Never say never and everything it´s possible!!
I think one album is possible without Kenny, but they never ever can finished their career without Kenny!!
He doesn´t come back in the near future, but one time, in a few years, when they call again: They Priest is back!!
They will be back with the greatest guitarist of all time:
Kenneth Downing, the God of all Heavy Metal guitarists in the world!!!
Then it´s time for Revolution, then it´s time for reunion, between Kenny and the Priest!

Judas Priest can´t retire without Kenny, it is impossible!!!!
Wonder what he thinks that JP is working on a new album thanks to Faulkner (according to Halford)! Bring him back! Maybe they can work out a 3-guitar band where they alternate with solos. Then everyone's happy.
And why exactly did Downing quit in the first place? He never revealed that.

KK Downing’s £40m hope for Astbury Hall leisure complex
Plans for the building of a major leisure in the grounds of former Judas Priest guitarist KK Downing’s Shropshire estate have received a multi-million pound boost, it was revealed today.
Investors from the UK and China are set to provide the backing for the £40 million project, which will see the grounds of Astbury Hall near Bridgnorth transformed.
He has also teamed up with Birmingham property developer Anthony McCourt, who was part of the team that led The Cube development in Birmingham out of administration, to move the proposals forward.
The plans for the 320-acre Astbury Hall estate include a 63-room hotel, indoor swimming pool, spa and a top class restaurant, and would create ‘hundreds’ of jobs for the estate and surrounding area.
Mr Downing said the hotel and leisure facilities, which he bought in 1985, would tie in with plans to attract some of the world’s best golfers and competitions to his course on the site.
The building of the new hotel and lodges could be the key to encouraging the PGA to hold a major golf event on the estate, which already has a professional-standard course, and Mr Downing has targeted getting a Michelin starred restaurant on site.
It is already set to host a PGA Europro tour event from May 15 to 17, which will be screened on Sky television in a first for the club.

[HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS] Tuesday, February 26, 2013 6:07:51 PM
I agree, I can't believe it either. Well, Tate's career is spiraling downward, so he is pulling out all the stops he can to try to save it. He has jumped off a cliff. Did you see that he performed in his underwear?? Always a glass of wine in his hand. He is now saying that he wouldn't perform Queen of the Ryche because it's an adolescent song and no one knows it. I just saw a vid of Todd singing it with Queensryche and it sure as hell sounded like the crowd knew the song. DicTATEr just has one excuse after another. He is performing to very few people at this point. Someone needs to get him to rehab immediately!!
With technology the way it is, KK may have recorded it from England and didn't actually get together with GT and see how off his rocker he really is these days!!
Wow! <==deserves elaboration. I am amazed to see one of my metal heros team up to even play a STRING with someone who claims to have always hated metal (even though I have nothing but love for Tate back in the day!). Speechless.

Looks like KK is going to be playing a gutar solo on Geoff Tate's new Queensryche album!
It will probably be in stores before Judas Priest has any new music available
