I Remember Seeing Ozzy Like That In Orlando, Florida The Field Tickets Were All The Same Price
[Budred] Friday, April 12, 2013 3:53:47 AM
...do you remember when all seats for a concert were one price and everyone always tried to be first in line to get the best seats
even if that meant camping out overnight at a venue? I hate to admit it but I camped out overnight once and it wasn't for Priest.
Freakin' "Iron Maiden" on the "Somewhere In Time Tour".
Got OK seats but not great ones and never did that again.
...yeah Brian I know you're smilin'. Edited at: Friday, April 12, 2013 3:56:54 AM

Dont be sorry. . . I've not been on here long, and I'm glad you mentioned it
As for ticket prices, yeah I hear ya! Though that said, I've booked to see Saxon next year and their tickets were only £20 each which I didnt think was that bad at all.
But, there is nothing like LIVE Heavy Metal (or any live music come to that) and I dont mind paying anything up to about £60 for a ticket - anything after that I can't and won't do. But thats a whole new thread. . .

Sorry about bringing up the album artwork subject. I was looking through the threads to see what I may have missed
and saw this was already discussed. Maiden was even mentioned. Unintentional on my part.
How about this one.
...i still remember when concert tickets were 7 and 8 dollars.
Kiss came around in 79' and tickets were $11.50.
"WTF?, this is out of control."
(I thought)
I've seen a "few" cheap shows since but man would I love to only pay $11.50 again.

Great show.
Had tickets to the original "British Steel" tour with The Scorpions and Def Leppard and it cancelled.

I remember the last time I saw JP...it was the 30th Anniversary of Brittish Steel...they sounded just as GREAT as they did in the 80's!!!! \m/ \m/
[tardisgirl70] Tuesday, December 04, 2012 3:51:53 PM
Ah yes album covers! They truly were works of art. Especially when they folded out and sometimes had
inner sleeves with lyrics :) Something that CDs have just not been able to match
[Budred] Saturday, December 01, 2012 5:28:17 PM
I still remember when the album art was as important as the album.
I remember spending a few hours in the "record" store browsing all the albums trying to find the coolest covers
knowing it was going to have the best music.
I got fooled a couple of times with Iron Maiden on that one.
[Budred] Thursday, November 29, 2012 2:30:49 PM
....trying to be more serious this time. I remember every Saturday night in the middle 80's if you were a metal
head you had to watch "Headbanger's Ball". I had a friend who's brother played in a Cleveland metal band called Shok Paris.
They never got big but they did put out three cd's and did a few support tours. Then they made a video and it made it Headbangers Ball.
I was quite a bit younger of course and I thought I was cool (for that summer anyway)(lol). I was hangin' with a rockstar.
They didn't make it any further and my coolness faded(lol) but it was awesome at the time. Here's the video if anyone wants to watch it.
Had to edit. I watched two of their videos and copied the wrong one. I can't delete the wrong one but this is the one I was referring to.
It looks like this is a video of the video on someone's TV. I couldn't find the original. I'm sure it's on youtube I'm just too lazy to search it out.
