 ctually I have discovered that if I can't post on the advanced editor that comes up first, I can hit the back button, then hit the forward button and it works. Kind of a pain but at least I can use the smiley faces in my post.

 You can upload your picture with something like Postimage.org (it's free) and then copy and paste or use the method you were talking about.

interesting.  that didnt used to work.  can you do that with non web images?

I guess not.  at least it didnt work for me.

 Or you can just right click on an image(picture), choose copy image and then right click again and paste that image where you type your post.

 in the post window you will have 3 rows of tools, above where you type.  near the right of the second row there is a icon that looks like a window with a mountain and a sun in it.  yellow background.  click it.

from there you need to paste the URL of your pic into the box labled url.

Chrome is, by no means, a slouch. ANYTHING is better than IE. Especially on a Winbox. However, as both a developer and user, I still prefer Firefox based on speed and, especially, the ad-ons. Chrome can't compare. Throw into the mix the recent gmail scandal and I'd be a hard-sell to switch my labs over to anything else. MAC labs, should be noted. Still, the nerdtank here all vote for Firefox. Regardless of the platform.

As I said, though, anything is better than the slogware that is IE.

 I really love Google Chrome! 

It's so simple to use and really fast.
When I go back and try Internet Explorer it's like going back to a really old slugish computer.
