JT......with respect, THIS 40-year-old (and if anybody calls me middle-aged I'll kick their ass) thinks it's fantastic that the boys in Priest are thinking outside of the metal box (again). I have been rocking to the heavy sounds of Priest for almost 30 of my 40 years on this planet. "Nostradamus" is not British Steel or Screaming or Sad Wings and anyone who's been paying attention should have already known that. I think it's a great album and everything the band promised it would be. Again, I know I've said it before, I think this album, maybe more than any of the others, demonstrates just what incredible musicians these guys really are. This is still very heavy listen, as tracks like War, Conquest, the title track and others will prove. Sure, we'd all love another fix of Screaming Part IV or Defenders Part III or whatever, but different can be a good thing, too. I think it's a HUGE credit to Priest to come forth with a musical accomplishment like this, especially if it does in fact land them in or near the Billboard Top 10. Not to mention these guys have been in the biz since I was in diapers....and four decades later they're still at the top of their game. No bitching about the new CD from me, it's all good.
