Ibanez make some awesome guitars! No doubt about that. You`re right about the Les pauls ,they are heavy. The BC Rich that I have is light,but it`s made of Alder I think? Seriously tho, I think that the shape of a stratocaster, or a telecaster is impossible to beat. I played quite a few guitars, but I still think that those two are the best. Gibson Les Paul is like weight-lifting, imo, and same is BC rich (tho I never played a BC rich guitar - just a friends bass which is a copy of a BC Rich).
Also, some Ibanez guitars (the ones that look similar to Fender Strats) are pretty cool.
